I have, if I remember right, only three left to meet. I couldn't help but think it was exactly like how I met the 8 males. But not again... not again.
Truthfully, Scott's meet came as a surprise to me. I NEVER expected to meet him there of all places, because the company I chose was presumably out of Scott's reach from my otome game knowledge. Presumably I was wrong.
Indeed, Fate really hates me... or God.
Maybe, when the prologue ends and I official know that angels and God exist, I could demand to meet God so I can tell him how I really feel right now.
Either way, my life should be counted as stable. I have 3 more capture targets to meet before the big finale, yet I realized there was nothing I could do about it.
Being a heroine/protagonist, there is some weird force that will make you the center of attention. From what I read, they gave it the name 'white lotus effect', and apparently, I'm showered in it. So, no avoiding the prologue.
But I can probably avoided the capture target's routes. The routes are the heroine's choice and what if she didn't choose at all.
Completely possible.
All I can do right now is gather as much information from the capture targets and achieved a normal ending which I failed to do in my previous life. I was too gullible, naive and dense to figure out what I was doing with them and hit all the 'good ending' buttons, but not this time. This time, I'll-
"You are dreaming," a voice broke my domino of thoughts.
I was at the railing above a park that overlooks the entire town, and now standing next to me, was a messy blond haired, and golden eyes was standing next to me. I jumped, tripped the railing and would have fallen to my death, had the boy not caught me.
"And extremely clumsy too," the boy muttered.
I mumbled my thanks but now, I couldn't count the number of times that I escaped Death minus the suicide attempt at the very beginning and including meeting Death himself, I'm starting to believe that Shine was right. I really can't die.
'Unless a mission is accomplished,' I remember her telling me.
What mission?
"You are dreaming again," the boy said in a sing song voice.
"Oh, sorry. What's your name?" I asked casually.
"Leonardo Sanz," the boy said, "But you can call me Leo."
"Nice to meet you. I am Krista Loverin."
Leonardo Sanz, or Leo, was an angel of the sixth faction, Hypnos, home to angels with(cue Spongebob voice) imagination. Mostly, Leo was a true schizo, no motivation and a loner inside his own world. It's a wonder that he's one of the favorites for God's throne.
A black look, I'm getting a lot of those lately, crossed his face before it settled on a vague expression. "Do you like this place?"
"Yes, it's a great place to relax and think," I said, looking at the view.
"You are right. I've find this place peaceful among my friends," he sighed.
"You have a lot on your mind?" I couldn't help but asked.
'Yes, and not all of it good," Leo said dismissively before rounding on me and scrutinizing me, "Do you believe in fantasy?"
"Yes," I said immediately, reincarnation proved it, "Why?"
"Sometimes, people laughed at me for believing in it. Will you laugh at me?"
"Do you care? You have only just met me..." I smiled slightly.
"Maybe I just wanted you to be ready when fantasy does meet reality," Leo said dreamily.
"What do-" I was interrupted by another person, a girl who suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Purple hair and violet eyes, in a petite black dress, she was suddenly on them like bee with honey.
"Is she one of your friends?" I asked Leo.
"Eh?" Leo was out of his vague state and his eyes followed my own before resting on the violet girl. "Well, depends on the definition of friend," Leo gave a vague answer.
"Leo, weren't you supposed to be doing your job?" The girl asked, in a sort of maternal voice.
"What job?" Leo asked, seeming to be in his own world.
"Sometimes..." The girl shook her head, and then looked at me, "Did you tell her anything?"
"Did I?" Leo asked, seeming not to hear the question.
The girl just sighed and looked at me squarely, "I'm Violet Cross, and forgive my dreaming boyfriend here, but he's always been like this. Sometimes, he says things he isn't supposed to..."
"I'm your boyfriend?" Leo asked in mild shock.
"See what I mean..." Violet said.
Violet Cross, rival for Leo and a world class actress, meaning manipulative two faced hypocrite. She uses whatever strings she can, and was possibly the most wily out of all villainesses.
"So, what did he talk to you about?" She asked.
"Fantasy. I kind of liked vampires. They are always so hot in books and movies," I said. Too bad that vampire in the library changed my mind about that.
Violet laughed, "Not always, but Leo, lets go."
Leo shrugged and left, but gave one look at me. I thought I could hear a voice inside my head saying, 'You have to choose and soon...'
Choose what? Why couldn't have more information about this freaking otome game. But that was it, I don't have any answers and I was as clueless as the heroine before reincarnation, not as clueless but enough.
Is that why I was reincarnated?
I looked at the horizon again, already behind the 6th chapter happily. A plan, at least, was forming, and soon... I can put myself behind this mess.
Can I?
