"Why do I have to choose?" I asked warily, because even the otome game does not let on the reason for the heroine's decision in heavenly affairs. Because I'm mortal... right?
"In fact, there are plenty of God's descendants, I can't be the only one. So why single me out?" I asked. That was truly the sticking point of this otome game. Why me?
"Yes, it's true there are many descendants... yet you were chosen," Scott said, his voice slightly disbelieving.
"It was because at that moment you possess extraordinary power," Leo said.
"Extraordinary power?" I asked. Then, again, I managed to cast a spell. But wasn't it because of reincarnation, empowering me and making OP?
Sigh... now, I have a headache.
"Yes, extraordinary power, Bunny. We all felt it the moment you obtained it and knew... knew that the person to decide the fate was upon us. Why do you think so many of us want you? Not that you are not beautiful~" Kaspar said.
I scowled, and crossed my arms, taking mini steps back from the angels. I really never wanted anything to do with them.
"So, that means I was always mortal until..." I said, leaving the sentence hanging.
"Yep, until..." Rex said, "The power chose you, so of course, make your decision."
"What? I can just say who will be God and that will be that?" I asked, hoping against hope, but of course, to no avail.
"Well, it's not that simple," Kyle said, "The person's judgement can only prove the candidate's worth when they... they..."
"They become one, Bunny!" Kaspar jumped in as Kyle faltered, "You see... to truly know the person, they have to get intimate, cha? And feel each other deeply, to trust one another and declare them ~worthy~ in that way, you see?"
This was an otome game, so I guess that had to make sense, but goddamn if I don't feel repulsed about the very idea of 'choosing' any of them now.
"Are you all crazy?! You think I would just choose you like that?!"
"Of course we don't think that you would choose that easily... but if we were to take you with us and spend time with us..." Jev said plantatively.
"What the actual hell?! Angels... give me a break... doing something like that. You want me to love you by developing Stockholm's Syndrome?! How can I judge who's worthy of being God, if you break me down like that?!" I screamed.
"Well, looks like Jev's off the list, and I know you have every right to be shock, indeed it came a shock to us when you inherited that power just recently when we found you. But facts are facts, you are what Fate brought in store to choose, so choose," Adam said.
'Inherited that power just recently when we found you'... it clicked something in me, and... Eureka!
I immediately ran away from the angels, who all looked bewildered and shouted, "Stop!" They chased after me, but I was sly enough for them to lose my trail in the end.

"Haa... haah... that damn woman, where do you think she went?" Rex asked, bewildered still of her sudden attitude change.
Everyone drew a blank: Where would the girl go? They knew that she must be in total shock of knowing the impossible and the crazy, but she seemed sane. What would draw upon this reaction? What brain wave could she possibly have that would make her leave like that?
They were stuck with facts. She was chosen after the power chose her. She didn't want it, dissed the responsibility right in front of them.
So, what would she do in that type of situation, with the info she seemingly might have.
Percy was the one who stumbled upon the thought first. She would have gone to the place that had rolled this chain of events. When she first met him...
"The church..." he whispered to himself.

I was lucky enough to find a cab that would bring me to the destination that I seeked.
Krista's past memories seemed to ache in sadness at the church which I have left not long ago. It had really crumbled down, just rubble and ruin now. But that won't stop me. In fact, now I remembered... it was originally here that the heroine went and prayed. In Krista's memories, she was in a dark place, the darkness felt even on her whole body, but one pinprick of light blinded her closed eyes. She heard insensible whispering, and then... nothing.
When Krista opened her eyes, she was at the altar that she thought what she felt just now was nothing but a hallucination.
But the reincarnated me knew better now. Even if the church was rubbled, it still held the place where such power was obtained... meaning...
It could be a secret passageway that lead to my demise.
Long shot, but the more I learn, the more I can get this mess behind me.
I closed my eyes and tried to remember the feeling... the feeling that the light gave me. The wind swished my hair... and I feel something strange.
Then, I heard another swish, but not from the wind... I immediately moved backwards.
I opened my eyes to find myself in a shrine, not unlike any in church, and on the center pedestal was a genstone, shining dimly. Standing next to it, was an enraged Lori Pensive.
"You! What is a mortal like you doing here?!" Lori demanded.
"Ehh... You... you were the girl with Percy," I stammered. I'm wondering, 'What is Lori doing here?'
"It's Lori, you mortal. I will ask again, 'What are you doing here?'" Lori held her sword threateningly.
"I was summoned," I lied to Lori, "I went back to the church, was sad to see its state and suddenly, I'm here. Unbelievable, isn't it?"
"Hmph, you shouldn't be in this place, mortal. Go back to where you came from," Lori said.
I looked around. There were no exits, "And how?" I asked.
Lori looked at me as if I were a fly, "The same way that you came here. Now, shoo, I'm busy," She said, as she examined the gemstone.
"Inspecting a gemstone?" I chided.
"Are you trying to make me kill you?" Lori asked in frustration, "This gemstone will give me ultimate power, and finally make Percy the God that he's supposed to be."
So, that gemstone... was that where the light came from last time?
I reached to touch the gemstone. Lori made to stop me, but it was glowing an unnaturally bright color.
"You... you... ABSOLUTELY NO WAY!!!" Lori shouted, and immediately swung the sword at me.
"What does this all mean?" I shouted in frustration, dodging the sword, although I knew plenty enough.
"You were chosen, but a mortal like you... I never believed... I was the only one, I should be the only one..." Lori said.
"Well, whatever it is, you can have it," I said decisively.
"But unfortunately, that's not possible," Lori said, in a soft tone, but her eyes were lit with madness. "You were chosen and that is nchangeable, but if I kill you... then, they have to choose another one... and that would be me."
Lori was in her own world, but I understand perfectly.
She was also God's descendant, and could have been chosen to have the power to choose the God, but I was chosen instead, and she couldn't accept it.
There was no exit routes as far as I can see... Lori just kept coming to me.
I was backed to the wall... her sword was dangling on top of me.
I thought I would die, except for the command, "Lori, stop."
Lori looked for the voice and once she found the owner, the madness seemed to disappear and she sheathed the sword.
I looked past Lori, and my heart dropped.
It was Percy,
