Evan woke to the sounds of chaos and fire. He was laying on his back in some sort of crater, he saw a different sky than the one he was used to. It was bright orange, flickering as if lit completely by flames.
Meteors continuously fall in all directions, constantly without fail. Screaming voices of thousands-no-millions of people in the distance.
Where the hell am I?
He crawled his way out of the hole he was in, his body felt insatiably heavy and tired. The scorching heat of the atmosphere bearing down on him, his eyes burning from the heat.
"This is undeniably the worst thing that could have happened."
Sadako said as her silhouette appeared into his peripheral view.
"What is? Where are we?" Evan replied.
"Jigoku. The realm you probably know as hell."
She spoke in an unsettling tone.
Somewhere else in this new found world the lord of all demons known as Goliath sat upon his high chair, he smiled sadistically as he heard his subordinate's news.
"My lord, news has come through that a group of unknown souls has entered our realm. Thirteen of them to be exact. There's no way to track them down, so they are free lancers just roaming the outside kingdom of flames!"
"Yes, this is a day I have waited for. Send our guards to retrieve these unknown souls, and bring them before me!"
"As you command, your highness."
"Sadako my child, you will not fail me! Together with these thirteen soldiers the heavens will fall before my feet and the god of creation shall beg for my forgiveness!"
The demon king angrily slammed his fist upon the stone chair in his throne room.
On the outer walls of the kingdom, Evan and Avery spoke. Evan could see Avery was beginning to breach a point of insanity of no return, although he couldn't do or say anything to help him.
"I feel it coursing in me, an awakened power! With this I am unstoppable; no one can stand in my way now, not even HIM! They're going to pay, every single one of them!"
Avery shouted deliriously like a mad man.
"Avery man…"
Evan reached his hand out, though Avery slapped it away before looking down upon his used to be friend with a look of despise and hatred.
"They're all going to pay. Everyone on Earth will atone for the suffering they've put me through."
In that moment, Avery opened a powerfully surging portal with his sword. It was a fluctuating oval shape. The other side seemed to look like Earth. The normal living world, Evan's eyes widened as he saw Avery disappear into the closing slit.
Holy shit, this is seriously not good. Lyran probably could have stopped him if she was here. I wonder where she could be…
"Wait, why the hell didn't you stop him Sadako?!"
Evan burst out as he remembered her presence.
"Why the hell do I care. Let him blow off some steam."
Sadako rolled her eyes as she began to walk.
"You realize that 'blowing off steam' means the ending of like a shit ton of innocent lives right?"
"Yeah, and what of it? It's not like I care about you stupid humans, I am a demon after all."
Sadako turned her dazzling red eyes towards Evan for a moment.
"Well, what the hell lets just let a crazy person go on a killing spree why don't we? Oh wait, that's exactly what we just did! I hope your demon heart is happy now. And where the hell are you going?"
Evan rambled on with frustration.
"I'm going to meet my father, with any luck he'll spare you and your friends who are probably out there probably wandering around wondering to themselves 'where the hell am I?'"
Sadako said as she took a step inside a large gate that led to a stone castle wall.
"You think he'll do that? Spare all of us I mean?"
"Well, either that or he'll kill all of us…me included…"
Sadako looked toward the sky, watching a burning rock fall elegantly in the distance.
"Wait…WHAT THE HELL!?"
