"How long do you intend to sleep? Seriously! We are going to be late, you know. I m leaving without you!" The faint voice of a girl rung in Kyou's mind as he jolted up from sleep.
"Ah, the dreams again. Why do I keep having these dreams lately?" He massaged his temples and sighed.
He rose up from his bed sloppily and walked into the bathroom and washed his face, brushed his teeth and had a nice, warm bath.
He dressed up and headed out to the bus stop. He got up into the bus and immediately noticed someone familiar.
"Hey, Dr. Ae Rin!" He waved at her.
Her eyes wandered around to track the voice and finally found Kyou amidst the crowd in the bus. A smile crept on her face as she walked between the small gaps, making her way into the crowd.
"Hi-? Huh?" Ae Rin looked back confusedly as she felt someone touching her back. She did a quick scan of the bus to check who touched her like that. As expected, she saw a middle aged man stealing glances at her secretly.
"What happened? Are you okay?" Kyou tapped on her shoulder.
"No..it's just...that guy touched my back." She gestured towards the middle aged man.
"What!? Let me deal with him." Annoyance covered his face as he stepped forward but Ae Rin grabbed his hand before he could go further.
"Leave it to me." She grinned.
Kyou looked at her confusedly but sighed and decided to trust her, "Okay, fine."
After 5 minutes, the bus halted at one of the bus stops and a few people rushed out of the bus along with that man.
Ae Rin placed her feet right infront of the man but he didn't seem to notice it.
"W-Woah!!" He stumbled and fell down with a loud thump, facing the ground. The people around stared at him and laughed when they saw his dumbfounded look and the dirt covering his face.
The fall from the bus made his nose bleed and he spun around to look at whoever did such a trick on him. He saw the girl whom he had touched a few minutes ago, looking back at him with a smirk.
"Serves you right." She mouthed.
The man's face was red in anger as he glared at her while wiping the blood trickling down from his nose and kept cursing and glaring at her in broad daylight as she ducked back inside with satisfaction and the bus left the stop.
"You are supposed to heal but you just broke his nose." Kyou laughed.
"Maybe that's why everyone call me evil." She joked.
"You remind me of someone a lot. Although I don't remember much about that person myself; not even her name. But I have a feeling that she was very dear to me." He lowered his head and looked down at his feet, smiling sadly as he remembered about the dream from the morning.
Ae Rin's eyes widened.
"Maybe she thinks of you the same way too." She smiled meaningfully.
"Huh? But I don't even know if she's real. It feels like I know her but can't put the pieces together. I don't know when I met her, what she looks like or what her name is." Kyou replied after hearing a strange response from her.
"Sometimes, the one you search for is very close to you and yet you don't realize it." She sighed.
Kyou frowned in confusion and shifted his gaze to her.
"What do you mea-" He was interrupted by the bus halting.
"Oh! It's our stop. Let's get down." She looked out of the window and quickly changed the topic.
"Oh, right. Let's go."
