That night when Kyou returned home after his shift, he kept thinking about the words Ae Rin said in the bus that morning.
" 'Someone close to us and yet we don't realize'...What did she mean? And why do I feel like she knows something? Could she even know anything about me? But that's impossible! We just met recently." He tossed and turned in his bed, hugging his fluffy pillow tightly.
But then, he stopped suddenly as if he realised something.
"Come to think of it, she was acting so weird when I first met her! She looked like she didn't want me to be there when I entered her cabin..." His eyebrows shot up as he realizes.
"And also that time when I first mentioned that she seemed like someone I knew! She tried to shove it off.." He replays every moment with her in his mind and starts to realize things.
"That girl in my dream...could all of this be connected somehow? It feels like a part of my memory has faded away." He frowns in frustration.
"No matter what happens, I will definitely find what does Kim Ae Rin have to do with all of this. I have to somehow find it out even if it means asking her about it directly tomorrow." Filled with determination and unease, he drifts off to sleep.
*Next morning*
Kyou's eyes flutter open against the morning sun coming in from the windows of his room.
He yawns as he gets up from his bed and rubs his eyes.
"Oh, right! I have to ask her today. Maybe I will find her if I reach the bus stop early." He thought to himself as reaches for the door knob of the bathroom.
After his bath, he quickly dresses up and gets out of his apartment and walks with quick steps to the bus stop.
Just as expected, he found Ae Rin sitting on the bench with her earphones on, waiting for the bus to arrive.
"Dr. Ae Rin!" He waves at her with a smile as he walks towards the bench.
Ae Rin turned to him and smiled, "Oh, hey. Good morning."
"Mornin'. Waiting for the bus again, I assume?" He places himself next to her on the bench and asks.
"Ah, yes. There's some repair work to be done on my car so I have to take the bus for a few more days." She sighed.
"Hmm...by the way, I told you about my dreams, right? I had them again. Maybe I know who it was..." He spoke as he stared at the ground and cautiously glanced at her when he spoke about the dream.
As he expected, she was shocked and very panicky.
"H-Huh? Who do you think it is?" She asked, trying her best to hide her nervousness.
"Hmm...I am not really sure yet. But when I am, I will tell you about it." He replied with a smile.
After a couple of minutes, a bus arrived at the stop and Kyou got up into it.
"Aren't you supposed to go to the hospital?" She asked confusedly as he saw him getting into another bus.
"I actually have something important to do so I will come a bit later. It won't take too long, just a 15 minutes' work." He waved her goodbye and the bus left stop.
