Gordan Stepped outside of the bathhouse and looked up at the morning sun which was already shining brightly. As no one was there he desided to sit down and wait for them to show up. Looking down at his clothes which he had picked out without really paying attention he saw that he had at least done one thing correctly. His entire outfit was fairly well made, especially the boots which were more combat based than the ones he had before were also slightly geared toward speed, which made him smile since he usually geared toward that kind of thing.
The whole outfit was an earth-rock pattern that was ment for camouflage in the area on the edge of the forest which would make him stand out a bit less, which was also to his liking.
Once he had finished dealing with his clothes Gordan pulled the small egg out once more and scraped his thumb across the sharpened edges making a small cut from which blood began pouring out rather steadily. Gordan pressed the cut to the egg and watched as the blood started disappearing into the egg it's color which was still as odd as ever shifted after about a minute of constant feeding. Now small pieces of gold were flaking into its surface. Gordan was tempted to see what would happen if he infused magic into it, but right now he didn't think it would be good if he started to experience a penalty during a conversation that had the potential to stop his ability to continue in one way or another, and he was just getting to the point were he could move his arm more freely.
=Sigh=
Gordan wondered what it would have been like if he had actually been born with a magical affinity, then at least he wouldn't have to deal with the stupid payments that he did every time he even used a small amount of power.
"Well, I guess it keeps me honest."
Well that's what Gordan would say whenever asked about it but in truth it was quite the discomforting feeling that someone could put a spell on him and turn him into a puppet or worse and he most likely wouldn't be able to do anything about it. This very thing had caused him quite a bit of trouble when he was younger, and was one of the reasons that his father didn't want anything to do with him in general.
Though to be honest he had at least been able to safeguard against one type of magic, and that one was the most dangerous to most people, with or without magical affinity.
Gordan straightened out his left hand which had been the one that he had cut on the egg. Surprisingly enough the cut was almost already healed over. Gordan flexed his hand loosening it up a bit to get the blood from becoming stagnant.
Leech's mother gathered up the search parties and told them that the situation had been resolved. Once she had done so she went to her home and began to pack a small amount of food and supplies that could be useful on a journey, she also took the orb that Gordan had given to her son and placed it neatly into the base of a sturdy travel bag. Once she had finished she let out a sigh of frustration. What in the would could the village chief be thinking telling her to go through with this?
She pulled the bag over her shoulder's, she couldn't think about pointless things right now, she could do that later. As for right now she needed to figure out how exactly she was going to convince an almost complete stranger to take on something so dangerous for a village that didn't he didn't even care about.
Steeling her nerves she headed over to the bathhouse in order to wait for Gordan to finish, but when she reached the location she saw that he was already finished and sitting down on a nice patch of grass gazing at the sky.
When she got a bit closer his head turned noticing her presence. He frowned seeing that she was rather close, that was making him worry even more about the whole him getting lax thought that had been popping up in his head since early.
"So you finally finished with rounding up all of the searchers."
Noticing the bag on her back he turned his head alittle to the side.
"Now that's odd, what in the world are you doing with that large thing if I might ask?"
Leech's mother flinched alittle, which made Gordan narrow his eyes, he didn't like it when people responded like that, it usually ment that they wanted something from him. And the thing that they wanted was almost never a simple thing.
"So... What did the war council desided on?"
She looked shocked for a moment but then sighed, She hadn't expected him to know about that already, but it did make things alittle bit easier for her to get her questions out.
"Well first off, we discovered what was heading our way."
Gordan looked at her with mild curiosity, before giving his reply.
"So what are you going to do about it?"
He already had an idea what they were planning on asking him to do but it didn't hurt to play dumb, infact it could be quite helpful.
=Sigh=
"I guess there isn't any point in keeping it from you since I'm about to ask for your help anyway...
Okay here's the deal, a destroyer class is on it's way here and will arrive in about half a week. The village isn't in any shap to deal with a creature like that. However there is a kingdom rather close to us and they are our allies, they have summoned a hero from another time to come and protect their kingdom, so we need to send an embassy to request their assistance in this matter."
Leech's mother was visibly holding her breath waiting for a response. Gordan on the other hand was sitting there nodding his head thinking, he had run into a couple such 'Heroes' and he found that more often than not they were much more trouble than they were worth. These villagers that he had just met the day before were wanting him to travel across enemy territory in order to request assistance from a kingdom that most likely wouldn't do anything to help.
=Sigh=
"what is the kingdom called exactly?"
Leech's mother didn't understand his question and just stood there staring at him.
"You wouldn't be informing a total stranger about this sort of thing unless you needed something from them don't you think?
He had the right of it there, she couldn't think of any other reason why someone would involve a complete stranger in the village's private affairs unless they were needed for some reason.
"So you'll go then?"
She blurted it out without thinking and gordan raised one of his eyebrows.
"I can't exactly agree to going anywhere until you tell me where I will be going and what I will be doing."
Leech's mom sighed in relief, at least he hadn't flat out refused her, but then again she hadn't actually gotten around to asking the question yet.
"All we need you to do is go to the Syria Kingdom and use this to get an audience with the king or the prince,"
She held out a map and a document to Gordan who gently accepted them.
"then all you have to do is tell the king what the problem is, and then you are no longer obligated to do anything, simple as that."
Godane looked at the map which had the best route marked out clearly. It looked rather straightforward from the standing of someone that knew nothing about the geography of the area around the forest, but Gordan did and simple was one of the last words that he would associate with it.
