Chereads / Moonlight Love Wish / Chapter 2 - Not her Fault

Chapter 2 - Not her Fault

SELENE's jaw completely dropped as she stare at the person whom she can't believe he was. Reiji Tsukiyomi is her long lost bestfriend, the man she waited to see again. Apparently, what happened earlier brought her back what also happened fourteen years ago. Was it all coincidence?

"Stop staring at me, Selene." She was awakened as Reiji tapped her forehead. "I'm not a ghost, okay?"

Intentionally, Selene slapped her face. "Am I dreaming?"

Reiji just chuckled. "No, you're not."

Slowly, Selene came closer to him. She softly touched his face, drenched with drops of water. Reiji was stunned the moment her hand made contact with his skin. Like a drunk woman that never knew the word 'shame', she continued to trace his face down to his neck. Until Reiji caught her hand. He was holding it tightly.

"What are you doing?" he asked questionably. His face, emotionless.

As Selene absorbed the words he said, she momentarily pulled her hand away but Reiji didn't release her. Instead, he moved his face towards hers till they were inches apart. Selene couldn't help but blushed.

"Let go of me!"

"You think what you did to me doesn't matter?"

"It was not my fault! I'm…I'm j-just…" Selene shoved her face away from him. Her eyes couldn't meet his. "I just…I can't believe you're really here."

Reiji smiled then he finally freed her. He took something from the ground and she was relief when she saw her old pink notebook even though it was doused. "I think this is the reason why you almost give up your life."

Selene reached for it and hugged the poor thing to her chest. "Do you want to know why? This notebook has a sentimental value for me. It never left me."

When she pronounced the word 'left', Selene caught Reiji's emotion changed.

"I must have left you alone all these years…" Reiji bowed his head as a sign of apology. "I'm so sorry."

Selene then embraced him, not reminding their position as she straddled against him. She wanted him not to misunderstood her. "No, please! Don't apologize!" she tapped her bestfriend's shoulder. "I know you have a reason. I don't blame you, Reiji."

Reiji took a deep breath before he encircled his arms around her and bury his face against her neck. A warm sensation covered her heart as she felt his sincerity. "I missed you, Selene."

"I missed you too." Selene blissfully smiled and held him tightly like she will never let him go ever.

Almost a minute passed, Reiji then whispered to her ear. His voice so soft, so seductive like a bedroom tone. "Selene, I'm feeling so hot. I can feel you."

Hearing the words 'hot' and 'feel', Selene came back to her consciousness and briefly break their embrace. "Sorry, I just got carried away."

Reiji teasingly laughed at her. "Admit it, my sweet friend. You're lusting over me."

Angrily, Selene smashed him on his chest. He immediately grunted in pain. "D*mn you, Reiji!" she threw another smashed on him, this time, at his arm. "It never even slipped on my mind to desire my own bestfriend! Over my dead gorgeous body!"

"Stop it!" Reiji then run away from her and she followed him. Like children playing 'tag you it'. "Come here! I'm not done with you!" they raced within the garden, under the radiance of the sun.

Selene almost caught Reiji but then she tripped herself with a rock. The tendency of falling her face on the ground literally flashed to her mind. However, she later found herself lying not on the ground, but on Reiji's body.
