Wu Han Ying had an early class, so before leaving he logged into the game and set up the stall. As he looked in Little Wudang's inventory he realized that nothing in the bag was valuable except for that Emei school skill book, he marked the price for 300 gold and then went to class.
{Translator Note: In this game, you have three ways to make money: 1. Kill the monsters and get the gold dropped by them; 2. Sell the items you have to either the NPC or to the players. Usually if you sell it to the players you will get more money, the downside is that the item has to be rare and hard to find; 3. Use real money to buy gold: if any of you have played Pokemon Go, you will be familiar with the money faction in that game where you have to use your real money to buy the pokemon money to buy the ball. The same concept is this game, you have to have lot of money and then stock them up with your real money ^^}
When Wu Han Ying returned in the afternoon he found out that the skill book had been sold. His roommates heard that he only sold it for 300 gold. They scolded him for being such an idiot, for not knowing how to make a profit out of his resource; especially when the resource is in his hands. Wu Han Ying quickly retorted back by saying that no one would buy if it was too expensive, so he thought a 300 gold amount was a moderate price. Plus, he wanted to get his hands on the money right away so he could use it to buy a mount. He had realized that a little Wudang girl running around on her feet looked quite pitiful.
After they finished their lunch the other three skipped their last class and went home. They all knew that on Friday afternoons, the ancient Chinese literature professor never took attendance.
Wu Han Ying did not plan to go home this weekend so he stayed behind and went to class. It would not affect his overall grade for the course whether he attended today's lecture or not, and it wasn't like he would fail the class. But since he has a love for ancient Chinese literature he came early to snatch a good seat for himself.
Since it was Friday quite a few people wanted to go home early to try and miss the crowded public bus. It was common knowledge that the schools were dismissed at 4 o'clock, and there was an elementary school nearby, which means that the already crowded bus would then be packed even further to accommodate a group of little children, that was very annoying.
With that being said many people also came to this class, but most of them were girls. It was not that those girls were interested in ancient Chinese text, it was actually because of Professor Xia. He is the ancient Chinese literature professor that has a good looking face. This is what Wu Han Ying thought at least, but the girls did not think like that. A bunch of them were saying that he is so handsome, others were saying they want to faint due to his handsomeness and there were even more who said that they worshiped Xia Chen like a mythical being.
Wu Han Ying was able to grab a seat in the fourth row so he knew he came just in time. The professor had come in and set his laptop down on the podium and just opened it when a crowd of girls surrounded him even before he could look at the screen. The girls began to cheerfully chirp away as Wu Han Ying noticed that the sea of girls surrounding Professor Xia looked airtight.
Xia Chen, this person's only good point was his good looking face. His eyes had the perfect shape of a water hyacinth, they were long and narrow which gave off a cold aura to other people. Only his appearance had such flawless perfection, Wu Han Ying thought that this person's personality was cold, grumpy and ignorant. He was really good at making others feel his arrogance. The girls said that this is called "manly"! Those negativites that Wu Han Ying saw did not fade his popularity, it only made people fascinated with him even more. Wu Han Ying rolled his eyes without saying anything further...
Water Hyacinth
With the girls chirping loudly at his side, Professor Xia only frowned slightly making him look a bit impatient.
"Professor, you're also playing online games?" A little girl glanced over at the opened laptop as her eyes opened wide.
"Uh." Xia Chen replied.
"Tian Long Ba Bu!" exclaimed another girl.
Xia Chen did not say anything.
"Aiya! Then I have to play this game."
"But I'm not good at online gaming; I haven't even done anything and I'm already dead."
"Right, right."
"You're playing Wudang, Level 90? So awesome!"
"Right! I heard that it's hard to level up a Wudang!"
"That's right!"
Wu Han Ying was feeling a bit frustrated so he started to repetitively flip through the pages of a random book he found sitting on his desk. When He heard that Professor Xia also played online games, he looked up a bit surprised. Such a person actually plays online games? But when he thought about it Xia Chen was not even 30, from the rumors he was only 26.
Even though Xia Chen was being bothered by a bunch of girls, his facial expression did not even have a sign of anger. Wu Han Ying just watched as the crowd of girls tried to steal a look at his laptop. When they looked at the screen they saw a level 90 Wudang standing in Luoyang's Chamber of Commerce, the character was donning the clothes of a senior Wudang and his hand was holding a level 84 crafted weapon.
"Aiya! So that's your game name!"
A sharp voice made Xia Chen frown, rub his forehead and then conveniently close the game interface window. The girls who did not get to see the name started to cry out "Awww", and then they pulled the girl who saw it to the side and asked for the name. That girl did not want to share that info, which only made the other girls become even more curious. When the bell finally rang everyone went back to their seats.
Even though Professor Xia still wore his millennium iceberg expression throughout the lecture on his face, he had such a wide knowledge on the subject that the three hour class went pretty fast.
Once the class was finished, Wu Han Ying packed up his things and headed back to the dorm. On the way back he stopped to buy his dinner so that he did not have to run back down for it later, after all being on the sixth floor means quite a few flights of stairs to run up and down.
When Wu Han Ying logged into the game he immediately went to the Wudang Sect to buy a riding crane. He bought a level 40 mount so Little Wudang could finally say farewell to bare feet.
Wu Han Ying looked at the screen and saw a little girl was riding a bi-colored winged crane and thought she looked very adorable. He rotated the screen 360 degrees and he even thought the crane's legs looked adorably thin, they were like two bamboo chopsticks kicking forward. He looked at the level 60 mount next to it and noticed the color was not the same, it was golden which he thought was so tacky. The level 80 mount was too colorful which he thought made it look even tackier. Therefore, he felt a bit of satisfaction looking at Little Wudang's mount as she flew to Cangshan to continue the quest.
When it was nightfall Little Wudang also finished the Cangshan quest, but she was still not at level 50. So Wu Han Ying spent all of his experience to raise her skills.
{Translator Input: In this game the experience you gained from killing the monster can be used in two ways, either: 1. Level up your character, or 2. Level up your skill. You get to choose what to do with the experience you gained. Let me tell you, as the one playing this game, the monsters here take a long time to kill when you are at a lower level}
Wu Han Ying remembered his roommates saying that they can do a Bandit Hunt on Saturday together. There was a high chance of good stuff being dropped during this event, but before he can participate he must be in a guild first. So they told him to find a guild to join.
Little Wudang sold some useless items to the NPC at Luoyang and then rode the crane over to the Guild NPC. He clicked on the Guild NPC and saw that there was a long list of guild names and after just flipping through some of the pages it was already at 300. Wu Han Ying clicked to the next page right as the school's internet started to get difficult, so his laptop began to lag.
Wu Han Ying waited for half a day for the page to finally turn. When it did he was staring at a bunch of different and unorganized guild names; after looking at it all he got a bit dizzy. Wu Han Ying then remembered he forgot to ask Jiang Tan which guild they were in. He looked at his buddy list on the screen and saw that all the names were grayish in color, not even one person was online.
{Whisper}[San Shui Gong] said to you: You've joined a guild? Ding Feng Bo Guild? I have never heard of it
{Whisper} you said to [San Shui Gong]: I created it
{Whisper}[San Shui Gong] said to you: Oh
{Whisper}[San Shui Gong] said to you: !!!! What?! You created it?
Wu Han Ying looked at the words on his screen and calmly typed in his reply, Jiang Tan's reaction was too exaggerated. This "San Shui Gong" is a level 89 Pyromancer and also Jiang Tan's character. Naming a character had always been something Jiang Tan was not very good at, so he just simply exploited the "Jiang" (江) character in his name. When looking at the name, everyone could not help but feel a sense of contempt.
{Translator Note: 三水工[San Shui Gong] - the 三 standing next to 水 made the three dots standing in front of 工; so combine all three you have 江; which made up Jiang Tan's last name, his whole name is: 江倓}
{Whisper} you said to [San Shui Gong]: Why can't I create my own guild?
