Ayana-
I was satisfied. All six of us had spent the day in the winter forest. I had showed then what exactly I could do. I used snow all around us to small castles and walls that I easily made disappear.
We played in the snow throwing snowballs at each other. I won at that name obviously. John had been absent the whole day saying he had business to attend to at home. But as I watched out the window as he left in the car he went in the totally opposite direction of home.
After everyone was literally freezing from the cold, except me, we all went inside relaxing in our rooms. It was the most fun we had on this mission.
It wasn't even a mission honestly. We were assigned to find six people and we hadn't gotten anywhere. John kept telling us that the White King had took then trying to start something. But I hadn't found anything unusual or suspicious except for John.
He was always telling us what to do and how to do it though it got us nowhere. We had gone into that prison without really knowing what to do. The consequence was me getting knocked with a bomb for three days.
I sat up in my bad feeling a surge of anger. We had been in this safe house for two months and had by made any progress on finding those kids. For all we know they could be dead or starving and crying for their lives.
I felt the air getting colder as my emotions rised. John was holding us back, he didn't want us to search on our own always watching just behind us. He told us what to look for when we could search somewhere else.
Right now I'm pretty sure the White Realm had nothing to do with missing six.
I let out a deep breath, then turn around quickly as I hear something shatter. The cup on my nightstand had shattered leaving glass and ice on the brown surface.
I sighed getting up finding the trash and started sweeping the glass carefully in the bin.
My room door opened and in walked Tristain with a concerned face. "I heard glass, you okay?"
He looked around my room looking for some kind of sigh. At the sight of his tensed muscles and fighting stance I almost wanted to laugh but held it in biting my lip.
Instead I shook my head punting to the glass in my hand. He nodded and I saw his body instantly relax. This time I chuckled quietly putting the rest of the glass away.
I sat back on bed picking up the book I was reading. I heard Tristan walk towards me and looked up when he stopped in front of me.
He was looking down at me with a caring expression and then it turned to mischief.
I narrowed my eyes, "What?"
He leaned down caging me between his long arms. "Are you ticklish?"
"Yes," I answered smiling. "Why?"
His hands quickly moved to my hips slowly sliding up to my ribs. He stopped for a second seeming to memorize the way my body felt under his fingers.
I felt my cheeks heat up at our proximity. Looking at his face that inches from mine I wanted to reach up and kiss him.
Just as I was about to his hands moved again tickling me like no other. I laughed immediately being surprised at my own voice.
He kept tickling me no matter how much i begged for him to stop. I crawled away from his evil hands catching my breath.
Tristain pounced on me again grabbing my hips making me laugh again. My lungs hurt and I still couldn't stop giggling. Tears were coming to my eyes sliding down my face.
After a few seconds he stopped looking me in the eyes, "I'll stop....if you kiss me?"
He was unsure but I saw the need in his eyes and he probably saw them in mine.
I leaned forward pressing our lips together. His warm and mine slightly cold they moved in since claiming each other. I let my hands wind around his neck pressing him closer to me.
I sucked in a breath when his lips found my neck planting wet kisses to it. When he moved lower I grabbed his head pulling him back up to my lips. I wanted to taste him more. The need grew as we kept kissing.
I flipped us over taking him but surprised straddling his hips. I went to his ear biting softly and I heard him moan softly as his hands went to hips again.
I met his lips again kissing him hard before pulling off of him.
I could feel his eyes on me as I reached for my book against my wrinkled sheets.
I could hear Tristain trying catch his breath still while I was physically fine. Emotionally I was a mess inside. I had just made out with someone who wasn't my Match. But nothing felt wrong about it. We were both eighteen and if there was anyone for us they would have showed up already.
Being with Tristan made me happy and there was nothing wrong with that in my eyes.
I felt an arm sneak around me pulling me into a hard chest. I smirked looking up at the face that I liked so much. "Yes?"
He leaned down kissing me softly, "What are you reading?"
I sat up leaning over him and showed him the cover of the book. He took it from me as he examined it. He flipped open the first page his face lighting up with amusement.
"Someone wrote in it." He showed it to me showing to initials. A.R.
I tilted my head finding the writing familiar. I had seen it before somewhere.
I left Tristain's arms going to the bookshelf. I felt his eyes on me I picked a random book and opened it to the first page. Write on it was the same initials A.R.
I got another finding the same letters tossing it Tristain who was curious to see what I was doing. After five more books being tossed, my eye landed on a big book.
It looked and and had a leather spine with faded words on the side. The second I touched it my hands felt warm. I pulled the book surprisingly finding it wouldn't budge. I tugged a little harder and sighed as it leaned forward not coming out all the way.
Just as I was about to pull again, I heard a click and the whole bookshelf split open revealing a hidden tunnel.
I dropped my hands hearing Tristan come behind me.
"Where does it lead to?"
I smirked grabbing his hand, "Wanna find out?"
