Ayana-
I quickly get up walking towards the mirror on the wall. Right on my neck a darkening hickey for anyone's eyes to see. My eyes widened at the bruise, it was quite impressive to say the least. I didn't think Tristan had it in him. My mind mind drifted to our make out session back at the safe house. We had been curled up on my bed enjoying each other's company.
I turned back to my sister who's face was filled with concern and little bit of shock. "Yes, it's a hickey."
Her eyes narrowed, "It was that guy wasn't it? The one you came here with." I narrowed my eyes at her tone, "He has a name. Its Tristan.
She got off the bed walking towards me. When she reached her hands grabbed mine and she looked into my cold eyes, "Ayana you and I both know this is not going to work out. You and him being together is wrong. Matches are there for a reason, just like how werewolves have mates. You and him will just end catastrophically ruining each other entirely. Tristan is from the Warrior Realm born and raised, he will have a Match sooner or later. But we won't because we're not meant to. You need to end this now."
Her words seemed to cut me like a knife. I always knew there was a possibility that Tristan or me could have a Match in the distant future but thinking about it now just breaks my heart. I want him to be mine and only mine, in a non-possessive way of course.
I backed away from my sister stubbornly, "You have no idea what your'e talking about. We're both eighteen, we would have found our Matches by now."
Ariana shook her head, "A Match can come at anytime in somebody's life, there is no schedule for love. So it is still possible for him to have a Match, he hasn't met everyone in the realm yet Ayana. And if this continues it wont be any good for any of us. "
I grew cold. "Ariana you cant just come into my life after two years of being gone and immediately tell me what I should and shouldn't do. Its not fair. While you've been cuddled up in this underground house I've been out in the real world dealing with everything else. I had to take care of mom and Iyla without taking all the responsibility on my shoulders without any kind of help whatsoever."
She stepped toward me a look of regret etched into her face, "Ayana I couldn't go back it wasn't the right time. The principal would have taken me and tortured me for what I knew, I couldn't risk it. "
I scoffed," Bullshit. You know damn well you could have sneaked your way in past the guards without getting caught. I know you could have. But instead you let without any contact with you damn family whose been with since you were a baby and didn't come back. Did you know I cried for weeks when I found out you were missing, it hurt like hell not having my sister by my side. Everyone else kept saying you were dead or ran away, rumors of you were all that I could hear at school. I had asked mom to home school me and finally had the courage to come back after a year. But here you are perfectly fine filled with secrets that you have yet to tell anyone."
Her eyes seemed to brighten turning a darker shade of brown, "Don't accuse me of what you don't know. I worried about you guys every single day. I love you and I didn't want anything happening to either of you. But I had other things going on, if you remember I had a mission of my own which lead me to the Demon Realm and everything my whole went up in smoke. Finding out I had powers and half-demon isn't something I would like to bring back home. I had to figure things out before I went back, I had to get myself together Ayana!"
I stepped to her our foreheads pressing together, "And that took two fucking years! You didn't call or text or even fucking write! We all missed you while you were hiding here doing who know's what. You know what I believe?"
Her eyes narrowed as we stared at each other. "What?"
"I believe you were just too much of a coward to even show your face back home."
Apparently my words sparked something in her because the next thing I know I'm flying across the room slamming into the wall. I hear a distant crack as I slid down the wall. My breath leaves me and I swear I'm seeing double. But the dizziness only lasts a few seconds before I'm heaving my self up and standing, staring daggers at my sister. Her whole body seemed to be lighting up turning red, so this was the demon in her.
Her eyes blazed red and her body screamed heat. But I didn't feel it for I was ice cold. I could feel the ice churning in my veins begging to be let out. I felt something slide down my neck, I reached up a hand feeling it. I brought my hand down seeing silver, it looked like paint but was thick like blood. My blood. I narrowed my eyes breathing slowly. I was mad and my bleeding head wasn't doing any good.
I flicked a hand sending a wave of cold air to my sister. It only made her stumble catching her off guard. When she regained her balance her hands instantly lit up with red fire. Her arms arched back and she aimed her fireballs at me. One after another they landed one me only steaming my skin, the pain went away after a few seconds.
I growled at the redness of my skin getting angry. I hadn't noticed the thunder cloud forming over my head but my sister did. Her eyes seemed to widen and she started backing away towards the door. I held out a hand to stop and then quickly put it down when the movement caused a thunder bolt strike the floor inches from her feet. It left a black mark on the floor before it quickly froze over turning white. Ariana was shocked while I just smirked taking it in.
I lifted my hand letting the bolts litter the room with ice and light. I was still mad but I would rather take it out on the room then my sister. Unfortunately. The room got colder and I was too distracted too see my sister. To see her take her aim at me.
I felt the heat first then the burning, it seemed to fill my whole body. I screamed from the burning that seemed to be all around me. I felt myself hit the floor on my knees before I sunk down on the floor entirely my body shutting down. It was stifling in this room, in my mind, in my body. I closed my eyes seeing red.

Tristan~
When I came back with the others Ayana and her sister were no where to be found. I had ignored the feeling to go look for her thinking she was just catching up with her. But boy was I wrong.
I was sitting in the living room when I heard it, a scream. Like someone was crying for help, and it sounded like Ayana. My legs kicked in faster then my brain and I was instantly running toward the sound. The screaming had stopped but when I got there but that didn't stop me from running. I landed at a door that was shut, I grabbed for the doorknob then pulled back finding it hot. I stepped back and kicked the door hard watching as it teared open.
The air was cool but hot at the same time like there was battle between the two temperatures. Ariana was in the middle of the room hovering over a body. Her body was shaking like she was crying. She was whispering over the body saying she was sorry over and over.
I walked over to her almost passing out from the sight in front of me. Ayana was unconscious lying on the floor. Her white hair was splayed above her, and her skin was pink almost red, not the beautiful shade I had gotten used to when she had changed. I dropped to my names cradling her body to me. Her skin was hot not the cool temperature I had fallen for. I wanted to cry or scream or punch a wall. Maybe all three. I looked at her sister who already had a guilty face.
"What happened to her?"
She didn't answer my question only blubbering on about how sorry she was. I held Ayana tighter against me looking around the room. The walls were cover in ice slowly melting, the floor was covered in scorch marks like it was burned over again. I quickly look for a pulse in Ayana and almost died with relief when I finally found a faint one on her wrist. I heard footsteps and saw the others with Axel as they all ran to us surrounding Ayana.
Axel reached down feeling her forehead, he stood up his face a mix of emotions. "She's hot and getting hotter. She needs to in a cold place like a big amount or...or she wont wake up."
The words reached my ears and I instantly stood up with her in my arms, "Where then?"
Axel thought for a second before his eyes narrowed and he turned to all us, "The Lake. We throw in her in the Lake."
What?
