Chapter 26 - Chapter 21

Ayana-

So walking into a dark tunnel with your maybe boyfriend and no source of light wasn't the best idea. But sometimes I don't think I just do.

The tunnel was pitch black almost reminding me of that cave back in the White Realm.

We had been walking for almost an hour and I'm pretty sure we were lost. Every time I looked back I couldn't find the opening we came through so we just kept walking forward. Hoping to find a way out of this tunnel.

The air was getting colder but not because of me. I had a feeling that we were close to the border of the White Realm. It was like I could sense the snow between the rocks.

The tunnel seemed to widen as we walked. In the corner of my eye I saw Tristan shiver from the coldness. I didn't feel anything.

I moved closer putting his hand in my mind. I know it didn't do anything to fix the temperature but he still smiled at me nonetheless.

We walked further and I suddenly felt a chill like someone was watching us. I stopped walking ignoring the weird look Tristan gave me.

Someone was here.

I turned around slowly looking for any sign of movement. The tunnel was still dark but seemed to lighten up as walked further down. I turned back around to Tristan then stopped short seeing something moving behind him.

I quickly put my hand up creating a wall of snow trapping it. I walked towards it trying to see what it was. As I got closer I saw it was a person, a guy really.

He was wearing all white and his hair white too with blue spikes. My memory instantly resurfaced remembering.

He was the guy from the ball. I never got his name.

Immediately when I arrived I questioned him, "Why are you following us?"

My question seemed to make him smirk and I distrctibgly noticed he was sort of attractive.

His face was snooth, his nice and lips seeming the perfect size and his eyes blue as the morning sky. They looked like mine but were a little lighter.

I felt Tristan put a hand on my arm as he watched from behind. The feeling calmed me somehow and I looked at the guy again. Tristan was better looking.

I sighed running a hand through my hair, "What's your name?"

"Axel," his voice rang out nice and smooth but airy. It was like music flowing freely from his mouth.

"Why were you following us," I asked again.

He stepped towards me crossing his arms, "Its my job to watch these tunnels. "

His answer was simple but still confusing. "Why do you have to watch these tunnels?"

"For intruders," his eye traveled to Tristan coldly and I had to stop myself from punching the guy for looking at him like that.

He turned back to me this time sighing. "I have somewhere to be," he gestured to the snow wall, "So if you could please take this down?"

I lifted my hand and slowly the wall of snow melted leaving a puddle on the floor.

He gave me a charming smile then started to walk past me. Before he could I created an icicle shard making it appear in front of him. "You're taking us with you."

I made the shard press against his neck pushing him a little.

"And I'm not asking."

〰️〰️〰️

We finally stopped walking my legs feeling a little tired. Axel had walked us through the tunnel his footsteps almost unheard. The air was still blood and the only one that was shivering was Tristan.

He stayed by my side the whole time keeping a stern face on watching Alex closely.

We finally stopped at a metal door. Axel turned to me with a smile on his face, "Here we are."

He pulled on the handle one nightk ing the door with a creak. I stepped in first immediately walking into a livingroom.

The room was crowed and filled with warmth. People were walking or reading, some were eating or lounging on the couches.

But as soon as I walked in all eyes were on me. They seemed to freeze as they took me in. Their eyes switched to Tristan as he stood behind me.

I let my eyes flow around the room taking them in. I could tell most of them were warrior but what were they doing here. Axel was the only White I had seen, so what was he doing here also.

My mind was so busy finding answers that I almost missed the red hair in the corner. I knew that shade.

I moved fast pushing a few boys to get past and stopped when I saw her.

She was sitting at a desk flicking through a book while her red curls bounce by her shoulders. She didn't see me as I looked down at her.  She looked the same if not better.

I held a hand out then quickly pulled it back once I realized it was shaking. Instead I stepped closer whispering her name.

"Ariana?"

Her head turned looking up at me. Her eyes widened before she jumped up and engulfed me in her arms.  After a moment of shock I hugged her back pressing her tighter to me.

I had missed her. I had missed my sister.

The longer I held her the warmer she felt which made a little uncomfortable. I pulled back grabbing her hands softly.

My wet eyes searched hers as I smiled at her.

"Where have you been?"

She smiles back at me wide showing her white teeth, "Oh Ayana, I have so much to tell you."
