*ROAR*
A loud savage roar echoed through the silent forest.
A bare chested youth was fighting against a two times taller angry ape.
Its fur was brown and it had three tails.
Elijah spun around, slashing at the ape which tried to grab him.
Three thick fingers flew up, trails of blood were flew through the air too.
*ROAAAARRRR*
The demonic ape roared out in pain.
Over 1 year went by and Elijah had grown stronger. His body was well trained, his messy silver hair had grown a lot over the time, falling over his headband. His grandparents had visited him a couple of times.
He focused on the brown ape which was staring at him with murderous eyes.
It roared out again, beating its chest before jumping up.
It jumped over 10 meters high, smashing down both massive fists at Elijah.
He jumped back, gripping his blades stronger, 'Here it comes...'
The moment the fists of the ape crashed down on the ground earth spikes shot out, aiming at Elijah.
'NOW!'
He stomped hard on the ground, kicking up dirt.
He started to rotate around, with a sharp aura exploding out from his body.
Sharp sounds echoed out, blurry blade aftermirrages could be seen around his body.
He cut the earth spikes into pieces while dashing straight at the ape.
"Three Tailed Earthape you are dead now!" Shouted Elijah, unleashing his killing intent, that mixed together with his sharp aura making it sharper.
He had fought various times against this Tier 2 Demonic Beast that was the king of Cliff Island and he needed to flee every single time. It was ridiculous strong and fast at the same time, the worst part was that it used its earth mana to attack and defend.
But now he had weared it down a lot without using his Soul Devouring Eyes or his Silver Light. He only used his Secret Art, Silver Stream that he had solidified it after reaching the Aura Stage.
The ape grew more furious and opened its mouth revealing it sharp fangs.
Elijah saw it and gritted his teeth. He jumped up in the air, spinning sideways while his blades became faster.
A huge amount of earth mana was being build up in front of the Three Tailed Earthape.
It transformed quickly into a huge rock, ready to be launched at Elijah.
"Silver Stream!" Shouted Elijah while spinning sideways in the air.
He landed right before the ape with both his blades smashing into the ground causing it to burst into pieces.
Silence descended into the forest...
Suddenly the huge rock split into two, the same happened with the body of the ape.
A silver line could be seen going through its body before it slowly separated into two, collapsing on the ground with a heavy thud, kicking up dust.
Elijah didn't rest and quickly pushed his headband up, opening his left draconic silver eye.
The soul of the ape flew out of its body, trying to struggle but it was still sucked into his eyes, entering his Soul Space. The little panther was already ready waiting for it, opening its mouth devouring the madly roaring soul of the Three Tailed Earthape.
Elijah struck both blades in the ground before sitting down.
He sensed how the raw energy coming from the devoured soul nourishing his body.
A familiar scene happened when cracks appeared inside his Soul Space, it shattered when the rainbow mana invaded it. His Soul Space started to refstore its boundaries, growing five times bigger than before.
Elijah sighed in wonder, 'Terran race...after our soul awakens it starts storing and converting the mana of the outside world inside the Soul Space. The converted energy is called Soul Flux, normally is doesn't have a particular attribute. Only if one does have a bloodline does the Soul Flux transform into that bloodline, like my Silver Light...'
But he was still happy.
He finally became a Rank-1 Senior Warrior after breaking through the Rank-3 Warrior State.
Elijah knew of the Two Power Realms, Warrior, Senior Warrior and Grand Warrior.
Those were the 3 States of the First-Realm.
What came next were the three States of the Second-Realm, Soulheart Warrior, Saint Warrior and Ancestral Warrior. Every State had 3 Ranks. He could only imagine how ridiculously strong the people at the Second-Realm were.
Elijah started analyzing what he found out about his Dual Bloodlines.
Both of his bloodlines had flaws, first was his Soul Devouring Eyes, that's how he called them.
They could only be used on a single target and he wouldn't be able to do anything else while using them.
He also found out that both eyes had different abilities, his left eye could only devour souls, while his right eye could only freeze the body. Both only worked on a single target.
He still remembered the pain from the backlash from the time he tried to devour the soul of a Demonic Monkey, when another one ambushed him from behind.
It disrupted his focus, causing his brain to feel like it was being split apart.
Elijah was lucky at that time that he reacted quickly, activating his Silver Light Bloodline out of reflex, before both monkeys had the opportunity to lay their hands on him.
His Silver Light turned both monkeys and everything else 5 meters around him instantly into ashes, leaving behind only a patch of scorched ground.
It was his first time using his bloodline and the results startled him greatly.
He always felt the scorching power of his Silver Light Bloodline rampaging through his body.
Just like his grandfather, he too believed that his Silver Light was a mutated form from their Silver Clans, Silver Flame.
But the results at that time made him question it. The Silver Flame Bloodline was known for being one of the most vicious flames under all fire related bloodlines, but his Silver Light...was just too OP compared to it.
It had two major flaws though, first it didn't leave behind anything beside ashes, not even the soul was left for him to devour. Second it drained his Soul Flux way too fast. That alone was a huge flaw, he estimated that he could only use it two times, three at best with the risk to faint afterwards.
The same thing also applied for his Soul Devouring Eyes, it used up too much Soul Flux.
This was the reason why he decided to use them as trump cards only in situations in which his life was truly in danger.
Because of those flaws, Elijah decided to stick to the Silver Stream Secret Art which didn't require much Soul Flux.
These flaws were also the reason why he didn't devour as many souls as he wished for.
He was lucky that the soul form the Tier 2 Three Tailed Earthape was enough to push him into the Rank-1 Senior Warrior State.
He sensed that he wouldn't need that much more to become a Rank-2 Senior Warrior.
If other people knew about this, they would skin him alive.
What Elijah didn't realize was how unique he was.
It is true that Terrans absorb the mana of the outside world but they don't absorb all of it like him.
Take a normal clan member from the Silver Clan as an example, they would only absorb red and white mana of the world and convert it into Soul Flux, that was the only mana that was compatible with the Silver Flame Bloodline.
Elijah who was able to absorb all of the mana meant that his Soul Flux was many times more pure than others.
It wasn't his fault, there didn't exist a deep knowledge about mana because people weren't able to see it.
Elijah finally stood up, putting both blades inside their scabbards that hung on the backside of his hip.
He traveled to a nearby river and cleaned himself, before taking out a new set of clothes from his space ring.
"Elijah." Called him a familiar voice behind him.
He had just finished putting on his clothes when Roland appeared out of nowhere behind him.
Elijah didn't react to it, he had long noticed that his grandfather should be really powerful.
"Hi grandpa, is the time up?" Asked Elijah.
Roland nodded, "Yes and I'm really impressed with your grow. Green Academy is going to accept new students in 3 days. It's time to return home." Said Roland softly.
'Home...' He strangely missed it, and he missed his grandmas cooking.
"Alright."
