Almost every single Warrior was part of one of the three guilds, but they weren't full members. Most of them joined the guilds as Semi Members to keep being part of their respective clans or influence.
Only by becoming a Core Member would they become a real part of the Guild Alliance with all the benefits like in Elijah's case.
He couldn't be touched by the Silver Clan anymore, now that he had officially become a Core Member of the Ranger Guild.
There were two huge Superpowers that were spread through both empires and the dynasty.
The War God Temple that worshiped the War God Terra. And the Guild Alliance that was formed by the Hunter Guild, Ranger Guild and the Master Guild.
There existed a phrase, "The devoted become Paladins, the greedy join the Hunters, the lonely turn into Rangers, and the intelligent will be Masters.
Elijah opened the scroll, the first words he read was, "Beast Taming Art".
He was too excited, this was the second reason why he became a Core Member, Semi Members weren't allowed to learn this Secret Art form the Ranger Guild.
Elijah could already imagine himself ordering his own horde of demonic beast.
Soon he finished reading the Beast Taming Art...he took a few steps back letting himself fall on the chair.
He hid his face behind his hands, "What the f*ck! This Secret Art is a scam!"
It explained how to tame demonic beast, just that it wasn't as easy or powerful as he expected.
The Secret Art allowed one to tame demonic beast through a Bloodsoul Method.
He first needed the blood from the demonic beast. Than he needed to use the blood from the beast that allowed him to bind part of the beast soul to his Soul Space.
It had two restrictions, the beast couldn't be more powerful than himself and he could only tame 2 beast at most because he was only a Senior Warrior. A Warrior could only tame 1 beast, and a Grand Warrior could tame 3 beast.
Elijah finally understood why the Vice Guild Master was so happy when Elijah became a Core Member after they tested his aptitude...
'That sly old fox...How could I have known that It would be so tricky to tame Demonic Beast. To take part of the soul from a beast and bind it to my Soul Space...that is just...'
He stopped thinking for a moment he felt like he was overlooking something.
'Bind part of their souls...can't I use my Soul Devouring Eyes? Wait can I control my Soul Form to not devour the souls and bind them instead to myself?' He lifted his head up, his eyes glittering behind the headband.
The idea didn't let go of him and he excited his room quickly.
Elijah walked out of the academy, heading to the market area of Esmerald City.
It didn't took him long until he found various merchant that sold Tier 1 and Tier 2 Demonic Beast.
Elijah entered the biggest shop that looked more like a zoo than an actual shop.
"Dear customer, how can I help you?" Asked a worker politely.
"Can you sell me four of your cheapest Tier 1 Demonic Beast?" Asked Elijah.
The worker smiled brightly, "Of course, we have six Tier 1 Demonic rats, each cost 2 gold coins, it would cost a total of 8 gold coins."
Elijah felt his heart jump, 'Oh my god! So expensive? Grandpa only gave me 20 gold coins!'
He sighed and signaled the the worker that he would take them. The worker immediately went away to take care of everything, Elijah paid and told the worker to deliver the Demonic Rats to the Green Academy Elite Class Room 14. The worker nodded happily.
Elijah walked out from the shop deep in thought, he needed a way to make money.
He arrived 15 minutes later at the academy, entering his room.
Not long after a delivery man knocked at his door, handing over four small cages with the Tier 1 Demonic Rats inside them. They went mad when Elijah lifted the blankets.
He wasn't bothered, he made sure the door was closed and the window was covered.
'Time to try it out!' Elijah cracked his neck, pushing up his headband.
He opened his left eye, focusing on a demonic rat with black fur.
The rat shrieked in horror when it sensed that its soul was slowly pulled out from its body.
Elijah would enter his Soul Space every time he devoured a soul, he saw how the little black panther was ready to devour the soul from the pitiful demonic rat that was struggling to move.
"WAIT!" Shouted Elijah to the panther, it closed its mouth looking over at Elijah without moving.
"Let me try something first." Said Elijah to the panther that didn't show any reaction.
He quickly urged his Soul Flux like it was described in the Beast Taming Art, engulfing the rats soul.
It stopped struggling when part of his Soul Flux entered its soul.
Elijah felt a faint connection to the rat, that floated silently inside his Soul Space. He looked over to the little black panther that had lost its interest, it closed its silver draconic eyes, going back to rest.
Elijah found himself back inside his room. He breathed out delighted.
He focused on the Tier 1 Demonic Rat who was the only one inside the cages that wasn't going mad.
He put his hand on his chin, opening the cage slowly.
The rat didn't move.
He started to stroke its back, the rat was several times bigger than the ones back on Earth, it had sharp claws and two big teeth coming out of its mouth.
He felt the faint connection to it, the rat finally moved, it shrieked happily at Elijah's stroking its back.
"Hahahaha it worked!" Laughed Elijah ecstatic.
"Come." Ordered Elijah the Demonic Rat. It listened to him, climbing up his arm up to his shoulder.
An evil smile appeared on Elijah's face.
'I hit a jackpot, it's thanks to the Beast Taming Art, I wouldn't have thought of binding the beast souls to me if I didn't read it.'
"Let's continue!"
Soon another pitiful soul from a Demonic Rat entered his Soul Space. He repeated the same thing, engulfing the soul of the rat until he felt the faint connection to it.
Now there were two big rats on both sides of his shoulders.
Elijah felt like a king.
He sucked out the soul from the third rat but something went wrong.
The black little black panther refused to listen to him, devouring the soul from the third rat.
The same happened with the soul from the fourth Demonic Rat. The little black panther devoured it without hesitation the moment it entered his Soul Space. But it ignored the other two souls that Elijah had bound to himself.
It confused him, 'I think...that the restriction from the Beast Taming Art also applies to me, this is the limit of bound souls I can have for the moment.'
The signals he became from the little black panther was only faint but he still sensed that it wouldn't allow a third soul to stay with it inside his Soul Space.
Elijah wasn't angry about it, he was very pleased with the results.
A ruthless glint flashed through his eyes that were hidden behind the black headband.
He put both Demonic Rats back inside their cages, focusing on the connection between them.
The little black panther who was resting lifted up its head, opening its eyes.
It stared for the first time straight at both souls, opening its mouth and devouring them too.
Elijah sensed his connection to the rats break. Their lifeless bodies collapsed suddenly like puppets which had their strings cut off.
His Soul Flux grew a bit after his Soul Form nourished his body after devouring the souls from four Tier 1 Demonic Rats.
He sighed, 'It would be convenient to become stronger like this but....I don't have the enough money to sustain it.' Thought Elijah.
Demonic Rats were only strong when they attacked together with many of their kinds, even Grand Warriors would feel their scalp grow cold if a swarm of thousands of Demonic Rats attacked them.
But their strength was quite weak if they were alone, that's why Elijah let ordered the little black panther to devour them. He wanted to tame beast that would be useful.
"Right I still have the Silver Rated Pellets that the academy provided me."
With a thought the small box appeared in his hands.
'Time to try them out.'
