Chapter 17 - Real reason for Elite Class

Elijah was woken up by the knocking sounds on his door.

He stood up walking over to the door, opening it.

In front of him stood Crown Prince George accompanied by two female students, he had the same innocent smile on his face.

"Finally awake sleepyhead? Come the class will begin soon." Said George rather enthusiastic.

Elijah looked at them confused, still a bit sleepy.

"KYAHHH!" Screamed one of the girls while the other girl looked away blushing.

George looked at Elijah who was currently only wearing pants. His bare chest with well trained muscles could be seen.

"Cough, maybe you should put on your clothes first Elijah." Commented George a bit awkward.

Elijah finally reacted, looking at the girls and then down at himself.

*Boom*

The door was shut right in front of their faces, making George smile wryly.

One minute later the door opened again, with Elijah walking out, wearing the long soft green coat.

The three looked at him strangely, Elijah faced them and said thick skinned, "Did you enjoy what you saw? Let's go."

"Puh!" Commented a girl.

The other one stomped down on the floor, "Shameless!"

George laughed loud, shaking his head in defeat.

The four of them entered the classroom sitting beside each other.

One after another the other students arrived, they were surprised to see Elijah sitting beside Crown Prince George. Michael from the Silver Clan had a gloomy expression when he saw Elijah being close to George.

They didn't wait for long until the teacher arrived, Elijah remembered him. He was the one he met yesterday at the academy entrance, the brutal looking man with the square face.

"My name is Jason Blake, I will teach you today....nothing. You all are old enough, train hard we will see each other tomorrow. Of course you can come to me anytime you encounter problems."

With that said the teacher left the classroom.

Elijah sat on his chair with his mouth wide agape.

George looked at him, he couldn't help but chuckle at Elijah's funny reaction.

"It isn't strange Elijah, considering that the Elite Class wasn't made for us." Said George.

Elijah turned confused to George, "I wasn't made for us?"

"No, we are only here to set the bar. Every single one of us enjoyed the best possible resources from little on. The Elite Class exist to pick out the commoners that weren't as fortunate as us." Explained George like it was natural.

Elijah frowned.

George continued, "They will join us when they break through and become Rank-1 Senior Warriors, we only need to keep improving ourselves for the next two years until we head back to our forces."

"I think I get it, we are here to push the others to the limit, they want be be just like us and when they reach our standards they will get recruited right?" Guessed Elijah.

"Exactly." Answered George.

"Well then, see you tomorrow Elijah I will head back to my mansion."

"You have a mansion?" Asked Elijah surprised.

George chuckled gain, "Of course, what kind of Crown Prince would I be if I didn't had my own mansion? Ladies let's go."

The two girls blushed, but still followed George out of the Classroom.

Elijah was left alone inside the classroom.

'Well, I didn't expect that...'

He didn't linger around for long, starting to search for the Elite Class training rooms. He wanted to start learning the two Uncommon Grade Assassination Arts he had bought yesterday.

Elijah caressed its head. This was the Tier 2 Demonic Beast he had tamed last night, a Purple Death Cobra. It was one of the most toxic Tier 2 Beast that could kill even a Rank-3 Grand Warrior with its poison.

He took out the two scrolls from his space ring, reading them. One was the Ghost Steps Art and the other was the Silent Sword Art.

Elijah trained them for the next 8 hours, reaching the Initial Stage in both Uncommon Arts.

The real challenge was to reach the Aura Stage, Elijah had thanks god already reached the Aura Stage for the Secret Art Silver Stream, he had a rough understanding what he needed to train.

But it was enough for what he had planned.

He went back to his room after eating something inside the restaurant that was inside the academy.

Elijah waited until it became dark, when he left the academy.

He changed his clothes inside an abandoned dark alley. He wore tight black cloth with a dark long hooded cloak. He placed the 1 meter long, lean sword that looked like a katana on his back.

Elijah climbed up to the roofs, observing the Green Flower Inn. He put on a new black mask on his face.

It didn't take long until his targets arrived in front of the inn. The three thugs that he met yesterday waited patiently for him.

Elijah needed to wait for another 3 hours until the three gave up and decided to leave.

He followed them, using Ghost Steps while hiding in the shadow.

His eyes flashed when he saw the three enter a small, dark alley, this was the moment he was waiting for.

He quickly jumped down for the roof, landing soundless a few meters behind the three thugs.

His hand reached out to his katana, only the bald man in the front felt that something was wrong.

But for the other two thugs it was too late, before they knew it their necks were cut open by a silent slash.

Blood splashed around and two dead bodies collapsed on the ground.

The bald man took out his great sword looking around for the attacker but he didn't see anyone, he suddenly turned around placing his great sword right in front of him.

*CLANG*

"Oh?" Elijah was surprised that the bald thug was able to deflect his attack.

The bald thug stared at Elijah with killing intent, "This voice...? Kid it's you?!"

Elijah ignored the bald thug, he closed his left eye, pouring his Soul Flux into his pale grey right eye.

It suddenly lit up, changing into a draconic silver eye. He looked at the bald thug who suddenly froze on the spot.

The bold thug felt his body freeze and couldn't move anymore, no matter what he tried, he was scared out of his mind. His fear was reflected inside his eyes.

Elijah moved soundless towards the frozen bald thug like a ghost, his katana passed without making a sound through the throat of the bald thug.

His eyes bulged and the thug struggled to move, but he couldn't move as long the scary draconic eye behind the black mask stared at him. Blood flowed down from the wound across his throat.

His eyes became liveless a minute later. Elijah closed his right eye, a second later the bald thugs corpse fell on the ground.

Everything went smoothly for Elijah, 'Those fools were the only ones that knew that I'm a student from the academy. It should be next to impossible for the Blood Pact League to find out who I am. Just like the old Chief Philips used to say back in the army, "Get rid of loose ends!"'

He also learned that he needed more training, his mastery of the two arts was too shallow, even a Rank-3 Warrior was able to notice him and defend against his attack.

A nauseating stench penetrated the air inside the alley, he knew it was time to leave.

He looted quickly everything they had and put it inside his space ring.

Elijah made his way back to the academy, he planned to train for the whole day before trying to finish the Bronze Rated Mission.
