I grabbed my backpack as the bell rang.
Blake had texted me asking where I am and I replied saying I am at the school grounds.
Then he texted, saying look at my back.
I looked.
And there I saw him carrying a present.
He walked towards me, smiling as he hand the present over me.
"What is this?" I said as I smile towards him.
"It's for you." he said.
I carried the box.
"Open it later." he said.
"Alright." I replied.
"Are you busy? Wanna go to the movies?" he asked.
"Sure. I am free today." I replied
"Alright, let me carry your stuffs." he said as he take my bag and the present he gave to me.
We walked towards his car.
He placed my stuff on the back of his car and he assisted me to sit beside him.
I sat down, and he started the engine.

When the class was over, I immediately went down and rushed towards outside.
However, I was so stupid, I forgot some of my books on my locker.
As I go back, I saw Men's group walking towards an alley.
I wanted to follow them, but I was doubting.
Then I found myself walking towards where they went.
I'm such an idiot.
They continued walking until they reached the back part of the school.
This is my first time going here.
And I've seen alot of things in it.
There was an abandoned building, covered with random paints and graffitis.
And there are groups of men, looking at each other.
The other was Men's and the other looked like is from another faculty.
And I am feeling the intensity between the two.
What's going on?
-Men-
I was informed that there is a group of men from the faculty of medicine who vaguely abused a colleague of mine.
This brought me to anger.
I called in my whole gang and went to the meeting place.
Once we arrived, I saw there the people from the faculty of medicine.
"Perhaps you know what the problem is." I said to their leader.
"Spill the tea."
"One of your juniors happened to abuse mine." I said.
"As if I give a fuck." he said.
I couldn't control myself anymore.
"Then you are one bitchy leader!" I said as I punch him towards his face.
Then the riot has began.
Everyone was punching, throwing things and cursing.
The whole place was chaotic.
But then later on, we heard guards shouting.
We got alerted.

The intensity was true.
The chaos had begun, and I could only look into one person.
I looked at how Men is brave, and couraged, to fight for his colleague. He seems to be thoughtful.
The war was all over this secret part of school.
But then, the guards heard them.
I looked back at Men, he got alerted.
He was wounded, bruised and weakened.
I rushed towards him and grabbed him.
"What are you doing here kid?!" he said as he cough.
I covered his mouth until we reached a certain part of the school that seems to be safe enough.
I looked at him.
I stared at him.
I smiled.
He glanced at me.
But then he pushed me.
"Don't interfere next time." he said as he walks away.
"But!" I said but before I could even finished, he was gone.
I only wanted to help him.
Was that what I was suppose to receive?
It hurts.
But I know he has always been like that.
He was, and will always be.
Maybe I should take a step away from him.
Or should I?
I don't know.

When the movie had ended, he held my hand as the huge crowd exits the cinema.
It was tiring, just by sitting and watching, but it was worth it.
"Are you going straight home?" he asked.
I nodded and smiled.
"Alright, I'm taking you home." he said as he held my hand while were walking towards the parking lot.
As he open the door for me, he slowly let loose of my hand.
I sat beside him and he started the engine.
"How was the movie?" he asked.
"It was the best." I told him.
"I am glad you liked it." he said.
"It's been a while since I have watched such movie. I had so much fun." I told him.
He grabbed my hand while he is driving.
"H- hey!" I told him.
"It's fine don't worry." he said.
Then he continued driving.
I was so tired that I wasn't aware that I am slowly falling asleep.
Until my eyelids became so heavy, that I wasn't able to lift them up.

"Hey Dale, wake up babe."
I was too tired to quickly open my eyes.
I slowly opened them up, as the blurred vision in front of me slowly clear up.
I saw Blake in front of me, waking me up.
"S- sorry. I was too tired." I said.
"It's alright." he said.
I grabbed my bag at the back of Blake's car and then I went out.
He also went out.
"Is there anything else?" I asked him.
"I'm going inside with you." he said.
"A- alright." I said.
When we got in, the lights were turned off.
"Looks like everyone is already asleep." I said.
"Alright then, I'll be going." he said.
Before he got out, mom went out and saw the two of us.
"Oh isb that you Blake? What time is it already? Why don't you stay the night here?" she said.
I blushed.
"I might disturbed you, it's fine ms." he said politely.
"Oh no worries, everyone here is a heavy sleeper, including that one behind you." she said.
She was referring to me.
And Blake laughed.
"Hey don't laugh!" I said.
"If that so, then i'll shamelessly accept your offer then." he said as he smile towards mom.
I blushed again.
Then I can feel the heat of my face slowly running towards my body.
"I- I'm going to my room!" I said as I escape the scene.

My room was quite full, due to stuff toys and stuff that I have.
"Sorry for this." I said.
"What's the sorry for?" he said as he slowly walk towards me while I sit on the bed.
He softly held my face, and then stared at me.
I can feel his heartbeat, at this very moment.
"I—" I said and then he kissed me.
I can feel his warmth, his heartbeat and his body slowly laying all over mine.
His tongue is seducingly travelling inside mine.
And then he stopped.
He laid beside me as he tries catching his breath.
"I- I love you."
I was so shy I could barely say anything.
"Dale, will you be my boyfriend?" he said out of the blue.
"W- what?!" I asked surprisingly.
"Please say yes." he asked.
I have no idea what to answer.
I am so shy.
I am so nervous.
Yet I answered.
"Y- yes." I said calmly as if I really am.
He looked at me.
He held my hands.
"I was always waiting." he said.
"Waiting for the right time to hold you closer, softer and kiss you." he said.
And then he kissed me again.
He hugged me tightly.
And then I felt him slowly loosen.
He had fallen asleep.
He must be very tired.

Ever since what happened, I ran out of courage going near him again.
I don't hate him, I still like him, but there is something stopping me.
It may be the feeling of rejection.
The rejection that discourages me to still look into him.
I like him still.
This is so confusing.
I hate myself.
Everything.
Everything just couldn't seem to stop bothering me.
That is all what I was feeling until...
"Hello?" I said as I pick up the call from my phone.
It was Joshua.
"Feeling alright?" he asked.
"Yeah why?" I said.
"I'm not really into anything right now. Wanna have some bites?" he asked.
"I'm tired." I rellied.
"Come on, my treat." he said.
"But I-" before I could even finish,
"No more buts! Come on and move that ass off. I'll be meeting you at the town square." he said.
I had no option.
He had already dropped the call, and don't want him to wait for nothing.
I grabbed my sling bag, and dressed myself up.
I went outside and walked straight towards the town square.
He doesn't seem to be here yet, so I took a sit at one of the town park's benches.
I kept on looking at my phone wondering if he'll ever reply.
I waited for 5 minutes yet he is still not here.
After my last check, a cold juice had touched my cheeks.
I looked at my back.
It was Joshua.
"You're here." I said.
"Of course, I invited you." he said.
I stood up and grabbed the juice he was reaching towards me.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
He grabbed my hands and then started running.
I was being rushed.
And we were both running.
The evening sky suited perfectly for this scene.
Two childhood friends running, along with the stars.
He dragged me towards an unknown place.
Most likely, a small hill.
He laid down and asked me to do the same too.
So I lied beside him.
"What are we doing here?" I asked
"Look at the stars." he said.
"They're so close aren't they?" he said.
I nodded.
"Those stars might be visible to our eyes now, but did you know that some of them might be dead already?" he said.
"I know." I told him.
I continued gazing at the stars.
Slowly, I feel myself smiling again.
"There goes that smile." he said.
I looked at him and laughed.
"I've missed those smiles." he said.
I continued laughing.
"I've missed you." he said.
