On the way there we talked and talked. He stopped to look at me, "wait we have been talking all this time and yet we have never been properly introduced. My name is John. It's a pleasure to meet you.... uhh. " "Hehe, my name is Yuki. " "Wow that's a pretty name. " This compliment made me blush slightly. "Awe... well thank you and it's a pleasure to meet you as well John. " He's a giant goofball, he is so funny and he kind of reminds me of a... little... brother. Sorrow filled my heart. John pats my shoulder snapping me out of it, "hey we are here. " It kinda started me in a way. "Oh, ok... thank you ". He walks up to the door as he responded, " no problem". I walked inside to greet the owner. The lady was short with long wavy light brown hair and a fair complexion. I simply ask for a room. The lady was cheery with a very pleasant atmosphere. There was so much kindness in her voice when she would talk to me. "Oh, for how long will you be staying. " I think for a moment l, "oh, I.. I don't know. I don't have family here... or anywhere for that matter. I'm also seeking work. " She looks at me with a raised eyebrow that curved into an arch and then she diverts her eyes to John. " Do you know this boy? " This sudden question of hers seemed irrelevant to this and it shocked me, but I told her how I met John today. "Well sort of, I met him not too long ago running from a group of men. He bumped into me and dragged me with him. " A thin smile spread across her lips. "Oh I see, so he got into trouble again. " John bolts up in fury, "I beg your pardon", John cries out. Ignoring John she turns to me in response, " this boy is my careless son. Thank you for taking care of him I'm sure he put you into a very awkward situation. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. In return for this inconvenience I shall give you a place to stay. In return for your room you will work for me. It will be nice to have another girl helping out over here and I do need the help. You said you needed a place to stay as well as work. Well there you go, but I do need to know about you to have this job are we clear? " I look at her speechless. Luckily John clears his throat to bring me out of it, "umm... yes ma'am. " She started to walk into the other room as she waved at me to follow her. I got into the room where she started asking me questions. "What happened to your family and what made you come here? " I hesitated due to the mere fact that this is a very personal topic that hurts me dearly. She started to get impatient with me, "look I need to know. I want to make sure I'm not hiring a fugitive or something and your intentions on being here. I don't mean to be mean or too straightforward I'm just concerned. I have my family here and I.... don't really know you. " I shook my head, "no it's fine. I understand that you don't know me and things like that you should know. When I was little about fifteen years ago my parents died. Them along with my younger brother. You see there was a tragic accident which they weren't able to recover from. My town always mistreated me and misunderstood me even when they were alive. I was often beaten by other kids and I knew if I stayed in that place things will only get worst. I wanted to get away from it all and start over, but back then I was too young to travel so I stayed with some people that took me in. They were harsh to me so I wanted to escape from that as well. That's why I came here to a place where nobody knows me. A place where I can walk down the road and not be talked down by every person I encounter. People treated me worst than ever after my family died. They called me a curse and it torchured me. I had go wait a few years to gather information and when I was strong enough to travel I left to seek out for my own freedom and a place where I belong.
