I can't believe its finally happening, I'm finally gonna have a bond with my very own beast. Then again, making it to this age is an accomplishment, at least for me it is.
"Let's go Elias, the shop is gonna close soon & you look like you can't wait another minute." Aryas said to me.
"Yeah, yeah, come on." I replied.
We rushed down to the monster breeders interrupted by anyone or anything since we both had our minds set on obtaining an egg.
When we walked in we were immediately greeted by an employee with a large smile on his face.
"Hello, welcome to Eggs N Supplies, is there anything I can help you two with?" said the employee.
"Yes, there is, we would like to obtain our first egg and i would like to buy a months worth of general beast food," I told the man.
There are different types of food specialized for specific types of beast but I didn't what was gonna hatch so I took a safe bet and got one meant for all types.
"I'll take the same but I would like to but I'll also buy 5 basic potions and a warp leaf," Aryas said right after me.
"Of course, lucky for you we have a deal on beast food & basic potions, but none on warp leafs since thier a material harder to find."-Employee
The store didn't look to big but everyone knows that the storefronts of monster breeders are never too large since everything that they do goes on in the back.
Everything from breeding to potion brewing and even food making goes on behind the scenes.
The cashier quickly found all the items & rang us up, i paid first and the food came out to around 50 bronze medallions.
Currency values are 100 bronze makes up one silver and so forth all the way up to platinum. there are 6 forms of progression, Bronze, Silver, Quartz, Ronium, Cobalt, & then Platinum.
Ayras things came out to around 1 silver on the other hand, since each potion comes out to around 10 bronze per bottle with the special discount.
Choosing an egg was a little harder than simply attaining the items. After we showed him our ID's to verify that this was our first egg, he took through a special set of double doors with an egg insignia on it.
There were multiple types of colored eggs set up and the purpose for this was quite simple. Although beast eggs have ERP the color can help determine what type of beast you obtain, but it doesn't make it certain, just increases the chances. They only had 5 colors laid out, red, blue, green, yellow, and Brown.
They corresponded to fire, water, plant, electric, and earth types respectively. But they also had another color, one that he brought out after he saw us struggling to come to a decision, a pitch black egg. At first I thought it was a shadow or Ghost type egg, but came to realize that it was actually an R egg, random egg. These eggs had no increased chance of spawning any of the types which meant it was truly random.
"what do you think Aryas? Which beast type are you going to try & spawn?"-Elias
"Well I think I already have my heart set on a certain type, you already that my mother used a fire type so im going for the same."-Aryas
"Oh, I didn't expect you to choose that one but you always did like playing with her Flame Fox."-Elias
"I don't know what I want to go for, I would try and choose one after my parents if i ever got to know them so I think I'm gonna go for the R egg."-Elias
"Oh wow, are you sure? You don't mind?"-Aryas "Anything I spawn will be amazing, so I don't mind one bit, plus a beast is a beast and you never really know what kind your gonna get regardless."-Elias
with that said the employee handed us the eggs we requested, Aryas got the red one while I got the pitch black one.
It felt odd in my hands, almost like it was already living and breathing.
"It was nice being able to see you again Elias, I hope to do it again soon, but if not, i want you to know i had a wonderful time."
"I had a good time as well, Aryas and stop being so sappy, we'll definitely see each other again, cause if you die, I'm gonna drag you soul ass back from wherever it's headed."
with our goodbye's said we both hurried home since the sun was starting to set and the two moons began to rise.
Immediately I began trying to make mana flow from my palm into the egg. I was amazed at how difficult the processes was and remembered that I had to siphon it from my surrounding. To obtain mana you must siphon it or eat a mana rich item or food. Then you have to compress it inside of your own body to acclimate it to be your mana. then you have to make sure your mana isn't too low or too high.
Its a three step process, Siphoning, Compressing, then Storing. As you continue practicing these three methods your mana grade will evolve causing you to rise in star grade.
After 2 hours of practice I got a decent amount of mana and started transferring it into the R egg and as I did it started to emminate an aura. It felt like it way joyous, almost like an emotion but at the same time, hungry. I was surprised at first but quickly calmed down and continued the process.
After 3 hours I could no longer continue, I didn't know why at first and then I remembered that doing the three step mana process burns up stamina as well. With everything set up I quickly laid in bed and started to nod off as the moons continued to rise well above my small apartment.
