They walked towards the Great Hall while looking out for Evelina in the crowd, James was restless the whole journey to the Great Hall from the Dungeons.

They reached the Great Hall and were immediately shocked to see their parents along with the complete Ministry present inside the Great Hall.
As they had Potions, it took them time to clean up and reach the Great Hall causing the fifth year Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs to the last ones to enter the Great Hall.
"What in the world are they all doing over here" Fred freaked out at the thought of his parents in the Great Hall.
"Don't tell me something is going to happen and they are conducting some kind of emergency meeting" Lorcan asked as he looked at the complete Ministry inside the Great Hall.
"What do you mean by emergency, what can happen which will include us kids in it" Dominique looked at Fred and Lorcan as if they were big clowns.
"Hey, what if the dark lord is back or something of that kind" Fred retorted as he looked at Dominique in a 'I am serious' way.
[DARK LORD is another way of addressing Voldemort, if you remember I mentioned him the previous chapter, he is the villain of the Harry Potter series]
"Fred I know you lack brain cells since birth but you'd better talk about something pleasant. Can't they be here for something good" Roxanne chided Fred as she felt she had enough of her twin brother's nonsense.
Fred decided to shut his mouth as he knew all of his cousins and friends except Lorcan who was as curious and brainless as he was, were already frustrated because of Evelina being missing and he was adding to their annoyance with his stupid talks.
They quickly made their way inside the Great Hall and sat down on the Gryffindor table along with Lily and Hugo.
Inside the Great Hall everyone was curious about what was the reason that all the busy professionals of the Ministry were present during such a time.
After around thirty minutes food appeared and everyone started eating, while discussing about the possible reasons for the Ministry's sudden visit.
On the other hand in the Gryffindor table everyone was growing restless as they still could not find Evelina.
"Where in the world did Eva go, she is not even in the Great Hall. Should we inform our parents about it, we won't be able to go out but they will be right" Alice asked as she looked at around restlessly.
"Who was the one who asked us to trust Eva" Dominique asked as she looked at Alice with a 'are you kidding me' look.
"Lysander, James, why you two are so quiet right now" Roxanne complained as she noticed that these two boys were unusually quiet.
"Lysander has never been talkative but James you are unusually quiet, I know you are worried about Evelina but if we talk and find ideas to locate her we will find her quickly don't you think so" Alice tried to reason out with him in hopes of loosening him out.
James always took it upon himself for the safety of his friends and family, that happened after an unfateful incident where he unintentionally put them in danger, today Evelina going missing made him guilty and made him realise that he was lacking in something.
"Don't worry Alice I am fine, I was just thinking about the places Eva could have gone to. Maybe she is not exactly lost and deliberately went away to get some time alone with herself" James said as he thought of this possible scenario.
