According to him, even if Evelina was somehow lost she would have asked the passing students for direction and would have already reached the Potions class, it would not have taken her a whole hour and still she was not able to find them, it seemed totally illogical to him.
Before they could continue, all the people from the Ministry stood up along with the Headmistress and the Professors. A group of nine foreigners walked inside dressed primly in professional attires, all of them from different regions.
When the group was personally welcomed by the Wood couple, the ones seated on the Gryffindor table looked at each other in confusion.
"How I wish I was seated beside Lauren, he is the only one capable of answering all our questions" Lorcan mumbled as his eyes involuntarily searched for Lauren and found him nervously shifting in his seat.
"Lauren seems unusually nervous today, what could be the reason" Roxanne asked as she looked at Lauren in confusion but the latter was oblivious to her stare.
"Something is about to happen" Alice said as she sighed in frustration, she was frustrated with the events happening around her as it was pure torture for her.
After the foreigners settled down at their places, the food on the table disappeared. Headmistress McGonagall stood up and walked towards the podium.
The complete Great Hall went into pin drop silence, all the students looking at their Headmistress in anticipation.
"Good Afternoon my dear students, I know that you all must be eagerly waiting to know the reason for which the complete Ministry has gathered over here and the identities of the foreigners who just entered the Great Hall but have patience" Headmistress McGonagall said in a stern tone.
As soon as she completed almost all the students groaned in frustration as they were being tortured mentally. Headmistress McGonagall smirked lightly which vanished in the same time as appeared, a fleeting smirk which failed to miss James's eyes.
"I wanted you to have patience because before I tell you the reason you all must know something, something which is usually told to all of you after you all become a legal adult but you all are lucky ones to know it beforehand as it is a need right now" Headmistress McGonagall continued.
Everyone listened to her with interest and anticipation of what she was going to tell them. Lauren was the only one who wished he could escape this brutal reality, it was torture he was going through the second time.
Even after hearing everyone might think that it was fascinating but its reality is not something they will be able to realise, not at the moment and also not in the future.
Lauren and Sam's eyes met amidst the crowd, they both had the same regretful expression. They knew everything and regretted it that they won't be able to help their only sister out of the nightmare ahead of her.
They were helpless against all of them, though they were not the only ones to be in such a position. So were three more people who travelled from far just to see their siblings entering the mental torture, just to see their siblings giving up all their happiness and freedom for the sake of others.
All they could do to help was just to give them moral support and encourage them for every new day ahead of them.
"Like the Muggle World even Wizarding World has its own Royal Families, who ruled on us and they still exist" Headmistress McGonagall said calmly but her statements resulted in many gasps and students stunned in their places.
