Chapter 34 - Obsessive

Muffled sounds of a small hammer sounded in the huge forge where Alexander was sitting, making Diana a new hair ornament. Everything was quiet, even the man who was hammering a little silver into the shape of tulips.

The door opened smoothly and Steve Beaufort walked in calmly and elegantly.

He had arrived at Dunkelheit Shine for family lunch to meet the new Mrs. Dunkelheit and after a conversation with Mrs. Jones, he believed that he should tell all of his findings to the newlywed cousin.

"I heard that Big Boss got married." Steve commented, without even greeting. Greetings were unnecessary among them.

"Yes. I got married." Alexander replied casually, observing in detail the piece in his hands.

"I clearly remember that I met you two months ago and you were not married. Did you get the girl pregnant?"

"Hope so. I am working hard on this."

"Alexander, I'm serious, man. How did you decide to marry someone in less than two months?"

"I met her almost a month and a half ago and I wanted her the moment I saw her. I looked at her and felt it was her."

"So far, so good, but, wedding? One month and you decide to get married?"

"I was trying to take it easy, capture my white bunny slowly and hard, but who knew the bunny was so easy to capture and tie? It was much simpler than I thought. I just needed to use a few tricks."

"I heard Mrs. Jones say that she is indifferent and listless. She won't say anything against her decision and only cares about her career. In fact, from what Mrs. Jones said, I think this woman is expecting a divorce soon."

"Why you say that?" For the first time, Alexander lowered the clamp and hammer, raised his head, took out the jeweler's magnifying glass and looked into Steve's black eyes. "Are you cursing my wedding?"

"Do not be ridiculous. As if these silly superstitions existed. I'm saying that she doesn't trust this marriage and doesn't completely trust you."

"Diana can be a little cold but not so much."

"I read the file, she can act in several ways if she needs to. I would smile during a reception but never actively chat. She is not going to take the initiative for anything and just looks at the situation as if none of it were something involved with her. What she likes most is the silence and being alone. She's a depressed person and you didn't even notice."

"Is Diana depressed?"

"Deep, persistent depression. I believe she's been like this for years and doesn't care a bit. I took a look at her handwriting. She's extremely possessive of what she truly loves. She's not the type to be dangerous to herself. but, under great pressure, she can be lethal to others. She is not in the habit of holding guilt, regret or resentment. If she suffers a complaint, she will seek revenge on the spot. And she will think hard before doing something that can be harmful but if she feels like she should do it, she will do it. She hates complicated and tiring things, so she probably agreed to marry you simply to avoid problems and thinks the divorce will come sooner or later. And if she divorces you today, she will work tomorrow with the same face as always and she will forget about it. It must be very interesting, she is a natural actress."

"Indeed it is. She can be a serious and hardworking woman, a lover of justice, a cute bunny, a gentle lady, a sensual fox, all in the same woman and appearance also helps a lot. She can look anything without being strange."

"Basically, she makes herself a pig to eat tigers. Whatever to her advantage, she will do as long as it doesn't go against her personal ethics and morals. And the worst thing for you, she closed her heart. It's not that she doesn't feel nothing for you. Actually, she likes you but it is not the unconditional love you want. If it were, you would probably be more than happy, since she would treat you like her sun and moon."

"Well, then I just need to break in and steal her heart." Alexander took the silver piece and sandpaper, went back to work calmly. "I'm using the old pregnancy trick to tie my wife tightly. A woman like her always wants the best for her child. Which mother doesn't want her child to have a complete family? So she will remain obediently."

"Sometimes I think you have an evil mind and you are so controlling as to be a disease. But you know, you're lucky. If you can get into her heart and have a child with her, she'll probably love you to the end of life or, for the same reason, will not leave you. Unless you do something very wrong. She does not accept betrayal. She will leave you without looking back. And if she has no plans to be a mother, she will be quite angry at you when you're pregnant. "

"Do you know all this by listening to Mrs. Jones, reading some files and looking at my wife's handwriting?"

"Well, I studied hard to do that. And it seems that your obsessive personality hasn't changed and will never change. You even married someone you don't know as well as you should."

"I saw it, I want it, I got it. It's that simple."

"You look like Julius Caesar saying ' I came, Vi, Venci.' " Steve laughed. "It's so funny. You are cold on the outside but a control freak and obsessive. She is warm on the outside but a listless and depressed listless ... it feels like a marriage made in heaven ... or in hell, depending on your point of view."

"What do you mean by that?

"I see that each one will accommodate the other perfectly. You want to control everything and she doesn't care, she just wants to live quietly doing what she likes and so much the better if she doesn't have to pay attention to other things, but that can be bad because she can ignore you calmly. You are indifferent to what doesn't interest you and keep the image cool and she's also just like that she pretends to be considerate in front of others to keep the image of a gentle lady. So outside, you don't care and she is, but inside, the two are thinking ' I'm not going to get involved in your problems. Solve for yourself '. However, for something that interests you you are incredibly and annoyingly controlling and obsessive. You will have problems because she will not care what you want, she will simply agree to avoid friction and will not do Of course, it's possible that you're very fond of all the power of choice that she gives you. And she's going to be in trouble because you're going to want to invade her world. And there's the possibility that you might be kicked in the process."

"Don't you think you're too old to want to see someone else's marital drama?"

"No! Seeing your drama will be fun, how can I not watch it?"

"You look like an old lady who spies on her neighbors' lives and watches soap operas to make a meaning in life."

"Your wife is not far from that, just so you know. She dives into books, drawings and work to try to find meaning in life." Steve commented seriously. "She is not a person who lives, she survives."

"When she is pregnant it will be better. She will have a child to look after and will think differently."

"Or not. There is a great possibility that she will put her whole heart into her child and there is a possibility that she will develop postpartum depression and want the child as far away as possible. There is even a possibility that she will be so confused that she thinks about having a baby abortion. Of course the idea will end after a few minutes of consideration, but the possibility is there. "

"Diana is a good person. She would never hurt her own blood."

"The question is not whether or not to be a good person in her case. It is a matter of accepting such a profound invasion of her life. She is possessive and likes to have her own space. You didn't understand that she looks normal on the outside but because inside she doesn't even know exactly what she wants? she doesn't know what she wants, who she is and what the purpose of her life is. Of course it can be a good thing for you if you can brainwash her. "

"Brainwash?"

"Yes. You say 'You are my wife. You want to live to love me. Your purpose in life is to have my children and to love me forever.' Maybe it will work!" Steve laughed wickedly, finding the idea a little absurd.

"You finally had a good idea. You are not as useless as I thought!"

"Hey, I always have great ideas ... wait ... are you going to try brainwashing?" Steve asked incredulously.

"Of course I will. At worst, she'll notice and not take me too seriously, but on second thought, I've already done it subconsciously. I am a genius indeed."

"Have you done that?"

"Yes, for a while I have been trying to put it in her head that she must be my wife because that is what will make her happy in the long run."

"Damn it! You are diabolical."

"Thank you."

When lunch was about to be served, Butler Jones knocked on the door and entered the room.

"Third master, master. Lunch is ready to be served."
