"And my wife?" Alexander asked, taking off his gloves and getting up from the comfortable, padded chair.
"The Lady does not seem to be as agitated as she was at breakfast. She was in the inner garden a little while ago. The maids must have already announced lunch."
"Great."
The three men left the room and walked to the dining hall in the castle's North Wing.
The huge hall, with capacity for a hundred people, was noisy, laughter and voices made the atmosphere friendly and lively.
"Fourth brother, listen to this! The second brother was dismissed by Miss Presley, again!" Anthony was laughing heartily when he heard the story Eric was telling about Louis.
"You sure like to make fun of each other. Louis, let me, the one who is married, teach you a thing or two about women." Alexander waved dismissively but his voice dripped with pride.
"I can't believe Alexander got married before any of us." Commented Gallen, the older brother.
"Oh yeah. I got married and that means I won the bet. As expected. Tell me grandpa."
"Oh man! No kidding, he really remembers the bet ..." Eric grunted.
"I not only remember how I won!"
"What bet is that?" Diana who entered the room quietly heard something about a bet involving marriage.
"Well, the first to get married should be called grandpa until the losers get married." Alexander replied casually, taking Diana's hand.
"That means Louis, Steve, Henry and Anthony will call you grandpa forever." Eric joked. "Oh no, my bad! Henry got a little girl as a gift from his father!"
Eric laughed heartily and Henry slapped Eric on the back of the head when he heard the stupid joke about him and Luna.
"I think I should hurry to propose to Claire. It is shameful to refer to my younger brother as grandpa." Sighed Gallen Dunkelheit Brienne, the older brother.
"Think positive, it would be worse if grandpa was Anthony." Alexander said indifferently and pulled out a chair offering Diana a seat.
"I would ask Beatrice, but I'm not sure if it's her. There are many conflicts recently." Philippe Dunkelheit Beaufort, the sixth brother, sighed.
"Well, when you decide, let me know. I will send a wedding gift." Alexander watched the single cousins with a sense of humor and disdain. "To those who don't know, this is my wife, Diana."
"A pleasure to meet you, sister-in-law." The boys greeted obediently.
"Sister-in-law, I have a question. How did you convince the big single dog to marry you?" Asked Louis Dunkelheit Brienne.
"I didn't." Diana answered seriously. "I was deceived and woke up married."
"It seems that I really need Alexander's advice." Louis sighed bitterly.
"Do not do it. He's a shameless one. Brazen. You can end mental problems by following this rascal's recipe." Steve commented seriously.
"If it wasn't a Dunkelheit blood, he would probably end up in prison. And I would have to send you some cigarettes and jars of petroleum jelly for your survival." Agreed Eric.
All the men in the room laughed, except for Alexander, who realized he was being defamed.
"I'll sue you."
"Louis, someone wants to sue me. Defend me." Steve laughed wickedly.
"I'm a prosecutor, not a lawyer."
"Don't you all study law in university?"
"If someone with malaria looked for a doctor, would you know how to take care of that patient? If someone needs an engineer to build a building, would you know how to do that?"
"For malaria, yes. I know the basics of how to diagnose and start treatment. I am not an expert but anyone who studied the fifth period of medicine knows this. And why the hell would someone with malaria come to me for treatment? Isn't that the same as looking for a katana to kill a chicken? And I never studied civil engineering. If he needs a robot to carry the bricks and stuff, then he should talk to me."
"I give up on you."
"Master, the meal is served." Mr. Jones said after placing the silver-topped dishes on the table.
The several tall, handsome men sat elegantly at the table, were given warm, damp towels, wiped their hands carefully, and returned it to the maid who held a silver tray.
The servants raised their bellows and the elegant men took their forks to eat the chicken breast and tomato salad.
"I heard a few things recently. Some important report." Alexander asked after wiping his mouth with a white linen napkin.
"Yes. Lots of news. Parliament has been irritating for the past few days and I have been feeling some unfavorable movements." Gallen replied with a frown. "Some idiots in parliament want to choose a new prime minister. The base of the liberal party has recently grown. This is good because liberals are the easiest to buy but it is bad from the point of view of the collective good of the country. These guys love to lower their pants for the big party bosses and, of course, I mean the international party. National sovereignty is always threatened when the one in power is a liberal. They start with those speeches for disarmament, for abortion, for regulation even when one goes to the bathroom. It is a disgrace for humanity."
"The current prime minister is in our pockets, if another one goes up, nothing fun happens." Anthony sighed.
"It's not exactly that the Prime Minister is in his pockets. It is simply that he will not mess with us. I supported the conservative party's campaign as long as they closed their eyes to dirty business. Of course, it works while keeping everything discreet, out of the eyes of ordinary people." Alexander explained his agreement with the Prime Minister. "Since they want to change the power game, we have to catch the ball. Anthony, discover the filth of the members of the liberal party and use it to shut up the useless. Gallen, send the Prime Minister my compliments and the details of the operation. Next matter."
"At the prosecutor's office I heard not very good things either. Nothing to worry about, but all very irritating." Louis said dismissively. "That idiot, Kale Gates is looking to investigate the forces of the underworld. Can you believe this guy? It will end like idiot Hayes, who also tried and Vasi killed him."
"Well, nothing worrying for us but annoying. Vasi's guys are very brutal when they want to kill someone and they don't usually do things with due discretion, they always leave dirt everywhere and everyone in the underworld ends up having trouble moving around for a long time. This idiot dies and some boring chickens come to ask for help to clean up the mess." Anthony sighed. "Intelligence has received news that country C is playing with biological weapons again, for a change. So annoying. I sent the virus analysis to the third brother."
"In fact, something worrying. The new virus is a type of flu that mainly attacks the respiratory system. H1N1 was far more worrying and lethal. This type of SARS does not severely affect young and healthy people. It can be fatal for the elderly and people in poor health, except that this group of people can die even with a normal flu, let alone one that seriously attacks the lungs. There are cases where the symptoms don't even appear. So nothing worrisome for us young people, but it will be problematic. It will affect the economy." Steve commented seriously.
"The international business network will be a little slow because of the flu. Annoying." Henry snorted and sipped the white wine from his glass. "When will the most serious problems start?"
"Probably in March or April." Steve replied with a frown.
"The guys from country C like to send their people to visit the whole world. I heard that country R is already making preparations to close the border." Anthony said lightly.
"What's new, country R knows that country C is playing with biological weapons. I would be surprised if they didn't know." Eric commented sarcastically. Everyone knows that country R and country C are great partners in everything, mainly to stimulate chaos in the world.
"Should I send a proposal to close our border?" Gallen asked.
"It will not work. Even if the prime minister knows, now parliament is chaotic and the liberal party will know the reason for closing the borders, the guys from country C always support the liberal party. They will probably use this as a reason to depose the prime minister. Send the Prime Minister the information we have and let him be prepared. If the liberal party succeeds in raising a prime minister, it will be more problematic than dealing with a virus." Alexander commanded.
"Should I prepare the regiments of army doctors and nurses?" Eric asked in a serious posture rarely seen.
"Yes. Humanitarian aid may be needed if there are many cases."
Alexander looked at his plate and thought for a while about the bad news he will receive.
Diana sighed and drank some apple juice from the bowl.
Noticing Diana's movement, Alexander looked at her and took the napkin, lightly wiping Diana's pink lips, stained with juice.
The tall, handsome men in the room sigh and cry over dog food.
Diana, who did not care about the rights of single dogs, watched the brothers closely.
Gallen Dunkelheit Brienne and Louis Dunkelheit Brienne were almost identical twins. His golden blond hair, blue-green eyes and tall stature with an incredible 1.90 meters were the same. The only difference was that Gallen had a mole next to his left eye and Louis had one next to his right eye. Gallen is serious and formal in style, with his three-piece suit and heroic appearance. While Louis is classic in style, with a retro three-piece suit and gentle appearance. At 30, the two had successful careers and stunning beauty.
Steve Dunkelheit Beaufort and Philippe Dunkelheit Beaufort were very similar, they could almost pass as twins. The same black hair and eyes were very attractive.
Steve had a sensual and slightly relaxed aura. Everyone exuded an aura of intelligence and the vicissitudes were very similar to that of the twin brothers Brienne, but he seems someone more approachable than Gallen with his cold and heroic aura and much more serious than Louis with his academic and gentle aura.
Philippe was younger than Steve for three years and his aura had no vicissitudes but coldness and indifference were all over his face. However, his personality was not really cold, he was just a little bit more shy than the others and the pokerface was just to prevent others from noticing his lack of tact and talent to have long conversations without a predefined topic.
Eric, Henry and Anthony were already known, so Diana paid no special attention to them.
The eight handsome and charming men were truly a divine sight. Beauty everywhere. Any woman who sees this scene would think that there would be no regrets in her life.
