JingYi suddenly felt a weird sensation crawling in his heart. He couldn't understand what Mao Mao meant by him having the same face as the person she loved. Was this the entire reason why she had helped him a lot?
Because helping him also means helping the person that she has loved for a long time?
"Yes," confirmed Mao Mao, "You look like my mother. Although she wasn't as tall as you nor as handsome as you are. But I guess you are similar in a way that you have to endure abuses thrown at you if it means to protect the people you love."
JingYi didn't expect Mao Mao to talk about her own mother. Somewhere in his heart he felt guilty for being a little annoyed earlier upon knowing that he has the face of someone she harbor feelings for.
"Your mother.. was abused?" He questioned with a low voice, appearing to be hesitant to touch the deepest part about her.
