While Wu Su Yi was perfect in all ways to others’ eyes, in fact there was a hidden layer beneath her than no one knew. When Han XI Guang came to her life, he was akin to a storm. A man with a good occupation— or was he also hiding his true, dangerous self? A match of a Queen and her loyal King who hid his true self from everyone but her. Extract— “I don’t need a husband,” Wu Su Yi repeated once again, her black eyes looked back at Han XiGuang’s darker eyes without showing a single fear, making him smile. She was the only person who could do this to him. “I can treat you like my Queen. All you wish would be my command and my wish is only for you to take care of my son.” She raised her eyebrows, unconvinced, “Whatever I would request to you, you will make it happen?” Han XiGuang took her hand and placed a kiss on her knuckles gently, “All your wish is my command. Who you ask me to defeat, what kind of victory I should have, and who I should kill. I would do it all for you, my lovely Queen and all I need is you to be beside me”

Chapter 1 - Gift From Heaven

In the bright morning of Chongqing, set a trial that was about to end. Both sides were on the edge of their seat, no one was able to guess which would come out as the winner of today's court. The person who was being trialed had a wide smile on his lips, as if knowing soon he would be washed off the accusation out of him that he had caused a deliberate accident that killed his wife. His eyes shifted to his lawyer and the man nodded back at him, both were confident that the lady of luck was on their side.

Apart from them, stood a woman with a lean figure. Her bright brown eyes shifted to see the defendant, the man who had killed his wife in cold blood. When her eyes caught the man's smile, Wu Su Yi's smile fell, and her eyes turned cold.

"It's alright, sir. Soon this will end. As you are the successor of Yan Group, I can assure you that we have won the trial."

Yan Ruoren smirked. Despite having killed someone he didn't feel by guilt in him and instead satisfied he had killed his wife who had run away from him. "It was her fault after all, she should have become a good punching bag but she dare to leave me," said Yan Ruoren. His lawyer replied with a smile, seemingly not minding his heinous words as he knew what in fact happened was not an accident.

The jury went with whispers on the far left side of the wall and the judge first look at them, moving to Yan Ruoren's lawyer before moving to look at Wu Su Yi.

"The lawyer of the plaintiff, do you might have some last word?" asked the Judge to Wu Su Yi.

Meanwhile, the defendant lawyer scoffed, knowing they would win the case by a landslide while watching how Wu Su Yi's expression gradually grew more severe.

"We will leave soo-" the lawyer's words wee interrupted when Wu Su Yi's chuckle rang.

She straightened her posture, and pushed her hands through her hair. "It was truly hard to bring the truth to light, Your Honor. I have searched high and low for the solution that could heal the wound that caused by the defendant who had heartlessly killed his own wife. Our case was said to be doomed once everyone learned the only witness to this case are the son of Mr. and Mrs. Yan. However, I present you with a surprise witness."

Yan Ruroren's eyes widened, quickly shifting to his lawyer who appeared far more stricken in shock that his mouth was left gaping.

"This is the man who had been forced by the defendant to keep quiet in the cost of his family's safety. But he had come here to prove that justice still is among us, brave souls."

The judge nodded bringing his gavel he struck it twice to let the room that at once turn noisy became quiet, "Bring the person in." said the judge to both Yan Ruoren and his lawyer's distress.

When Yan Ruoren saw it was indeed the man who he had forced his lawyer to pay had stepped out his hand clenched in anger, and his eyes glare flurry at Wu Su Yi.

"You damned bitch!" Yelled Yan Ruoren. He had never been the one to hold his temperament. The police behind him was taken off guard as Yan Ruoren had moved too suddenly. Sliding his body from the surface to the table, he took quick strides intended to secure Wu Su Yi's neck and choke her to death.

But before his hand could come further from the distance of his shoulders, Wu Su Yi took his hand, her body circled and at once, she slammed Yan Ruoren's body to the ground. The loud sound of his body whacked on the ground created a loud echo, surprising the people on the court.

Watching Yan Ruoren struggle in pain Wu Su Yi's smile appeared, she sat on her heels, her smile grew more sharper as she whispered, "You have messed with the wrong person, Yan Ruoren. Killing a woman who had just gained her freedom from an abusive man like you, don't you think it's unfair how she had suffered until her death? My mission is to make that son of yours to never live or meet you again. And for that I will make sure you suffer well in prison. My friends there will come to say a welcome Hello for you. They love it when men like you suffer. We'll see how you will fare once you stepped out from the jail."

Her eyes intently watch Yan Ruoren's eyes widening in shock. "Y-You...what are you?"

"A human," Wu Su Yi answered with a smile that didn't reach to her eyes as her words were cold like icicles, "I am a human who could be Devil if it is to protect women from you." Pushing the man on the ground, Wu Su Yi dusted her palms, walking away as the police bent in respect for her help.

The court ended in Wu Su Yi's favor as she had guessed. Coming back to her office, a young woman followed Wu Su Yi with a great smile on her lips, "I knew it! There is nothing more satisfying than to see you flipping the man on the ground, Senior Wu! I felt so terrible for the son. What will happen to him?"

"He should be fine," Wu Su Yi answered pushing the elevator button as they needed to go down for their break time had arrives, "I doubt Yan Ruoren family could take care of him well, seeing how his father turned out to be-"

"Son of a bitch," Mei Lili, the intern lawyer who was placed under Wu SuYi's guidance said.

Wu SuYi watched Mei LiLi's expression filled with grudge and chuckled, "He will be living with his maternal grandmother, where he will be save there. I have put a trick so Yan Ruoren and his entire family won't be able to meet him. Although it will expire once the child grew up, but by that time, he will have his own power to protect himself."

"Then, Senior Wu, what will we be eating today? Because you won the case. Do you want to eat something extravagant?" asked Mei LiLi with her eyes sparkling, hoping she would get some of that delicious treat.

"Hm, I can smell some corruption here," Wu SuYi teased, "We'll be eating Yakiniku today, prepare yourself."

"I have prepare myself! My stomach is empty," said Mei LiLi as they entered the elevator and went down. "Speaking about Yakiniku-"

Mei LiLi had stopped talking when Wu SuYi raised her hand, not because she want to stop her little junior's chirpy conversation but due to the call that came to her phone. Picking it up, Wu SuYi wondered what emergency it was and her expression came back to a stern one. Her thought failed her when she saw the familiar phone number and without another thought, she pressed the red button, denying the call.

Having witness what happened, Mei LiLi can't help but to ask, "Was it from your family, Senior Wu?"

"No," Wu SuYi replied, she turned with a smirk, "It's from a clause of rats. One large dog who can only squeak, the other that only bites, and the main one who can only cause my days and lives like Hell."

"Oh rats! They are indeed dirty and causing wreckage everyday," Mei LiLi chuckled, "But can rats hold phone and make call, Senior Wu?"

Wu SuYi didn't know what to say at Mei LiLi's innocent question, "What I said was sarcasm, LiLi. You should learn how to take my sarcasm. I worry you would follow my every words even if it will cost you something."

"No problem, I am devoted to you, Senior Wu!" came Mei LiLi's excited gloat when she stepped from the elevator door, her voice suddenly pierce, "Ah!" Mei Li Li yelled, calling Wu Su Yi's attention to her.

"What's wrong?" asked Wu Su Yi, her brows frowned in concern. Mei Li Li had often surprised her which doesn't make her felt the surprise any longer. Although it didn't mean her gasp doesn't stop Wu Su Yi from being concerned.

Some times, no, often times she finds Mei Li Li's art of clumsiness to be something everyone need to be careful of. Last time she dislocated her shoulders from falling and if Wu Su Yi wasn't there, she was sure the girl would roll on the stair. Since then Wu Su Yi made sure to keep her eyes on the younger woman.

"I forgot my phone." Mei Li Li said and Wu Su Yi frowned.

"I thought you brought something with you earlier." A case of some sort was in Mei Li Li's hand. Being one with sharp eyes and memories, Wu Su Yi precisely remembered a case on her hands.

Mei Li Li pulled a case on her hand, indeed it was only her phone case that she brought with her. "I took off the case, thinking to clean it."

Wu Su Yi didn't know whether to laugh or scold her. She smiled and waved her hand. "Okay, go back and bring your phone I will wait."

"I'll come back fast as lightning!" Mei Li Li quickly make a dash from the entrance, to the elevator when she bumped to someone and Wu Su Yi wince. Mei Li Li turned her back and waved her hand as if telling she would be fine and made way to the elevator.

She didn't mind waiting for centuries as long as the girl doesn't hit her head anywhere, thought Wu Su Yi to herself. When she shifted her position not to stand in front of the door, suddenly something soft caught her legs. As if a flop sounded on her legs that made Wu Su Yi's eyes slightly widened at the warm creature that had hugged her leg.

Wu Su Yi brought her head down slowly for her eyes to meet with a larger black eyes that looked back at her. The soft creature hugged her leg harder as their eyes met but she didn't feel any pain instead, only warmth came from her leg.
