All of the girls walked to Dia and Anorie's dorm to talk about what the hell happened at the park.
When they all had sat down at the living room, Dia decided to break the silence.
"Okay, now can we know what the *beep* happened in the park?"
Roch was hyperventilating at the moment.
"What if the government comes to experiment on me? What if? What if-"
"Girl, calm down. They aren't gonna experiment at you." Dia said reassuringly.
"Right, of course they won't." Jess added.
"Cause we're going before they come." Dia stated.
"Wait, what!?" Jess was confused on what Dia said.
"We're running away, obviously."
"We!?" All of the other girls chorused.
"Do want to be dragged into questions you don't even know how to answer?" Dia reasoned.
'This is why we love Dia' Jess thought. 'She should have won Ms. Genius last year.'
"So what's the plan?" Anorie asked.
Dia explained that all of them should pack all the clothes they needed, a first aid kit, and things that had personal significance into a knapsack.
Jess and Rochelle then went back to their dorm to start packing their stuff.
Anorie and Dia then went to their room and started to pack. They had all agreed on bringing a first aid kit for each person so that if they were ever separated and injured, they could help themselves.
Dia packed all of her T-shirts, jeans, blouses, skirts, and underwear. She also packed 4 radio phones and gave one to Anorie. And last but not least, she packed their friendship album that the 4 girls had been making since making in 5th grade.
They all met in Central Park. They were all wearing black hoodies and leggings, just as they planned. Even their backpacks were dark blue.
"So, where are we going?" Rochelle asked.
"I found a dark alley nearby." Dia said.
"How is that gonna help?" Jess said.
"We can stay there for the night," Dia stated, "Nobody goes there."
They all walked to the alley. They stopped when they saw 3 cops eating near the alley. The cops turned and saw them.
"Hey! You're the girls the government wants for questioning!"
"Schist!" Dia muttered.
The cops came at them but Dia and Anorie's instincts acted up. Dia slid between Cop 1's legs and knocked him out by a blow to the neck. Anorie blocked Cop 2's gun and kicked him in the nuts. She then knocked him out with a smack to the forehead.
"Okay, calm down." Cop 3 said. It was a girl.
Dia and Anorie were starting to lose their cool. Their hands then began to glow with energy seeping out. It was just like what happened in the park, only that their eyes didn't glow.
Dia's energy was in the color of neon purple with hints of royal blue, while Anorie's energy was gray with hints of bronze.
Dia and Anorie looked at their hands.
"What the-" Dia started.
"You guys are like me." Cop 3 said.
"How are we like you?" Jess asked.
Cop 3 flicked her wrist and energy in the color of bronze with hints of white seeped out of her hand.
Just then a load roar was heard from the corner. Out came devilish looking creatures who were all black except for their eyes which were the color of neon red.
"Crud!" Dia, Anorie, and Cop 3 said at once.
Cop 3 dragged them to the dark alley, running so that the demons wouldn't catch them.
"Hey, I didn't catch your name." Dia said.
"Maria, Maria Thomas."
They reached a dead end in the alley. Maria then began to examine the bricks.
The demons became visible as they emerged from the shadows of the alley.
"Maria, what are you doing?" Jess asked.
"Wait, I'm trying to remember!"
"Ugh! I'll do it myself." Dia said.
Dia raised her hands and energy began to seep out. She placed her hands together and blasted energy into the air. The energy then started to take shape of a very thick barrier surrounding her friends and herself.
"Found it!" Maria exclaimed after 20 minutes as she tapped onto a brick 6 times. The brick glowed cream yellow and started to form a portal.
"I can't hold the barrier much longer!" Dia stated.
The monsters were making cracks around the barrier and most of them were going through holes they made in the barrier.
"Here!" Anorie said. She then blasted energy into the barrier, making it more stable.
"Guys, go through the portal. Me and Anorie will fall back, making the barrier smaller and jump backwards into the portal." Dia said.
Dia and Anorie added more energy into the barrier, concentrating because this could be their final stand.
