Dia, Anorie, Jess, and Rochelle were called to the Main House to finally have an explanation about their powers.
They all sat down on the couch and Maria began to explain.
"You guys are hybrids."
"I'm a what now?!" Dia exclaimed.
"Hybrids. Let me give you a crash course."
Apperently, thousands of years ago, there were magical creatures that could transform to look like humans.
They would eventually end up falling in love with another species, thus creating hybrids.
When the years past, they started to get mixed with humans.
That's why hybrids these days looked like humans, except for the eye color and powers.
Royalty were hybrids who had dragon blood.
Powers were elemental and you had abbilities that were connected to your element.
Royalty had also added abilities.
"You don't have to explain everything, you know?" Dia said.
"What do you mean, Dia?" Maria asked.
"I already know what you just said."
Everyone's eyes darted to her.
"How do you know?!" Maria asked.
"Then what's the library for?" Dia asked.
"Library?" Anorie asked.
"Yeah, there's a library behind this room."
"What's does it mostly consist of?" Anorie asked.
"2/4 are history books, 1/4 are camp records, and 1/4 are all fantasy books."
"Wait, you read the camp records?!" Maria yelled.
"All of them." Dia confirmed.
Maria's face turned white as a sheet of paper.
"Is anything wrong with the records?" Jess asked.
"You see, the records contain all of the information of the campers."
"Don't worry, she's good at keeping secrets." Rochelle stated.
The girls then went to the dining hall for lunch.
Dia sat by herself as her friends talked with their new found friends in camp.
Nobody knew, but Dia could hear everything crystal clear. Even the gossips and rumours.
A majority of the gossips were about Alexa Smith, a bully in camp.
But she knew Alexa was doing this for a reason, she read the records for God's sake!
She then prayed and started to eat her food, rice and corned beef. Filipino traditions are always the best, Dia thought.
She left her plate in the kitchen sink and sat back down in her seat, reading the 5th Harry Potter book.
She waited for Alexa to come into the dining hall and made Alexa sit with her.
Alexa was wearing an red t-shirt, a camouflage jacket, ripped brown jeans, and gloves that were cut through fingers.
She had redish brown hair that fell on her shoulders, golden eyes with hints of red, and tan skin that almost looked liked orange.
"What do you want, newbie?" Alex said fiercely.
"I'm asking why are you doing this?" Dia asked.
"Doing what?" Alex said, curiosity tracing her voice.
"Why did you change yourself from sweet Alexandra to punk-style Alexa?"
Alexa's face widened in surprise.
"How do you know that?!"
"I have my sources, now tell me. I won't tell anyone."
Alex sighed and then explained what had happened.
She had arrived at camp as a very girly kid, causing her to have many friends.
But then one of her 'friends' made a rumour that she killed one of the campers when a bunch of demons attacked camp.
Everyone believed the rumour apart from Maria and Mr. Brown, that's why she respected them.
The bullying continued until she snapped under the pressure.
That's when she decided to change from sweet to fierce, to show them the moster they created.
Dia felt sympathy for Alexa.
She then had an idea.
She dragged Alexa to her room in the 'Unknown' lodge and let her listen to a song in her phone called 'Welcome to My Life'
When the song ended, Alexa had tears in her eyes.
"How does it know what my life is?" Alex asked.
"Many people have life similar to yours."
3 hours were then spent showing Alexa music from Dia's phone.
They even went as far as memorizing 'Kill This Love' and the dance steps.
They went out laughing and teasing like old friends.
The hybrids who saw them looked confused, they had never seen Alexa so close to someone.
30 minutes later, they were finished with training.
Dia and Alexa were talking about music when Dia spotted a radio nearby.
Suddenly inspired, she plugged her phone into it and said:
"Hey, Lex. Why don't we give them a little dance?"
"Why not?" Alexa replied, a wide grin on her face.
Dia turned on the radio and played 'Kill This Love'
She and Alexa then began doing the dance steps.
When the music blared, people began looking at them.
All of them were confused. Alexa was stone-cold but she then immediately warmed up to a new camper.
Every dance step was perfect, not a single flaw.
It wasn't long through the song when Rochelle, Jess, and Anorie joined the fun.
When the music was over, they sat down at the ground and Alexa thought:
