I sat there frozen in my bed as a read and reread the subject line. This could not be happening. THIS COULD NOT BE HAPPENING. "OKAA-SANNNNNN! AHHHHHHHHHHHH" I scream jumping out of bed. I run out of my room still screaming.
My dog Chibi starts barking and my little sister Kanae comes out of her room. "What's going on? Why are you screaming?" she asks confused.
I show her the email subject line and we stare at each other for a few seconds, then we both start screaming each other while hugging and jumping. "Okay okay, quiet down. What's all the noise for?" my mother says coming up the stairs.
"I got my match! I finally got it!" I exclaim, flashing my phone in my mother's face. My mom takes the phone and squints her eyes. "See, I told you. Patience is key." my mother says with an "I told you so" smirk.
She heads back down the stairs when Kanae grabs the phone. "What's his name? What does he look like?" giggles Kanae with bright eyes.
I take my phone out of her hands and walk to my door. "I would like some private time now." I say with a professional smile. I close and lock my door.
Kanae starts banging on my door, shouting for me to open up. Soon, the banging stops and I can hear my mom scolding Kanae in Japanese for banging on the door.
I take a deep breath and open my phone again. I stare at the subject line again trying to not smile like a dork. I open the email and begin to read through it.

I stare at his picture for a bit. He looks attractive and he must be smart to be a student at Meiji. Meiji University was one of the schools I was considering going to after graduating high school. My grades were high enough to get a recommendation letter for Meiji and two other schools.
I stop for a moment. I haven't even met the guy yet, and I'm already planning my future around him. I put my palm against my forehead but no fever. The moment of truth had already passed, but was I going to do with this information now?
