Although the entire battle had only lasted a minute, Jack had to admit that it was the most dangerous moment of his life so far, leaving him with a broken rib and a fractured right arm.
Luckily for him, ever since he became able to view his status, his body seems to have gone through a lot of changes. Jack had only rested for half an hour and he could already feel his fractured right arm healing, his ribs although haven't fully healed, didn't obstruct his movements anymore.
If Jack had ever doubted the notion of evolution, now he doesn't anymore as he was currently a living proof. But even with this, he was still plague a serious problem "Was it by chance or is it the handiwork of a higher type of existence and if so, why?" shaking his head, jack threw away this matter that doesn't seems to concern him to back of his mind as he decided to take a stroll around the 3rd floor he was currently residing.
Who would have guessed that such a causal decision will bring him an unexpected haul. Five 'nucleus' as Jack had decided to call the strange bean size object that was neither solid or liquid found in center of a dead goblin chest was discovered and taken away by him from the carcasses of the 5 goblins he found on the 3rd floor.
Coupled with the two he had gotten from the goblins he killed earlier, he now had a total of seven nucleus in his possession. Two black, two red, one purple, one green and one blue coloured nucleus layed on his palm and after a little deliberation he decided to swallow single colour at a time.
Although he had no idea what the consequences of this action might bring, he firmly believed that each colour represented different attributes and every slight increase in his power means an increases his changes for survival.
With that in mind, he first swallowed the purple nucleus since he had already experience its effects, he felt more closer to it. A familiar scene of the world slowing down and zooming in once occurred in Jack's vision before vanishing like it never happened. Taking a glance at his perception attribute, he discovered it had increased by 0·1.
Such a discovery had cleared up whatever doubt Jack had subconsciously harboured in his mind as he immediately swallowed the green nucleus without any hesitation. Bang! the sound of an explosion occurring in his body was heard by Jack as he felt both his heartbeat and blood flow quicken.
Instantly he felt full of energy and while taking a glance at his attributes, he discovered it was stamina which had increased by 0·1 this time. Following behind the green nucleus was the blue nucleus and immediately after swallowing it, jack felt his body become lighter as breeze from who knows where blew into around his body for a second before vanishing too.
The two red colour nucleus came next and after swallowing them, Jack felt the muscles all over his body wiggle as it expanded and contracted again in a unbelievable speed. Clenching his fist, power like Jack had never felt before was now flowing through it.
It took Jack nearly all he had to hold back his urge to rush outside and test his new found power on a goblin he could find. With anticipation, he swallowed the last 2 black coloured nucleus.
Unexpectedly Jack was instantly assaulted by an unbearable pain all over his body, he could feel his body heating up while his bones felt as if it was being hammered by a thousand hammers. Such an experience nearly threw him unconscious but luckily for him, it lasted only a few seconds before vanishing also.
Jack who was now half kneeling on the floor with both hands included as his entire body was also drenching in sweat. Bringing up his status window he quickly took a look at it, only then did he feel excited.

Swallowing both black nucleus had increased his constitution by 0·2 points while the red had increased his strength by 0·2 points, blue had also increased his agility by 0·1 point. Since Jack now knew which attribute all the nucleus he swallowed had increased, he firmly concluded that any odd colour nucleus he ever comes across in the future should represent mana.
Closing back his status window, Jack now took a look outside from the third floor of the antiquity store and saw the figure of the setting sun then took a look at the direction of the city, thanks to his current height, he could easily spot numerous rising smokes which signified burning buildings.
But the further he looked, the lesser the amount of rising smokes he saw, thus he concluded that monsters haven't taken over the city yet. Feeling relieve, Jack who had just decided to exit building and head back to the city rested his sight on something way beyond his scope of understanding.
Beside the corpse of last goblin he killed layed a scroll, a 2ft long scroll covered entire in numerous bronze patterns. "Monsters are also capable of dropping loot just like in the games. Heck, I don't even know what's impossible anymore" thought Jack as he picked up the scroll and attempted opening it.

"No" Jack shouted inwardly as he instantly halted his attempt the very moment he heard the feminine voice notification in his head. Holding up the scroll in his left hand and the katana in his right, Jack quickly arrived at the guards locker room on the ground floor and after searching it for a backpack to place the scroll, he finally left the building.
