Chapter 11 - Starting the Day Part.1

Early in the morning, there were birds chirping incessantly. There weren't that much birds where she used to live since there wasn't much trees in the area.

Brae hadn't fully woken up but the chirping noise outside was making it difficult to fall easily back to sleep, she couldn't continue sleeping.

Her eyes were still closed, she was preparing to open them eyes slowly in case there was light in the room. Usually if she opened them too quickly they stung for a few seconds and then watered.

It was not a good feeling.

She peeked through her left eye first and it was still fairly dim out. She fully opened both eyes.

Brae took a deep breath in and a long sigh out.

'I guess let's start the day', she said to herself.

She kicked her feet over the bed and onto the floor.

When she took a step, she felt a liquid under her big toe.

'What the hell?'

Brae lifted her foot and it seemed to look like spit.

'Fucking gross, wasn't this room cleaned?', she rhetorically questioned.

She hopped on one foot to the bathroom and wiped the spit off her foot then returned to the room to clean the rest on the floor.

'How the hell did spit get on the floor here? Did I not notice yesterday?'

Thinking back to the previous days events, her mood turned dismal so she decided not to dwell on it. She needed to stay positive.

Brae assumed she hadn't noticed yesterday because she had too much on her mind. It wasn't a big deal and she wasn't trying to get one of the workers in trouble.

'Not on the first day at least', she thought.

It was early and she wasn't sure if anyone else was awake but she really needed to eat. Brae decided to go make her own breakfast.

'The kitchen should be in the same area, I think. I wonder how much renovation was done while I was gone', she wondered why the mansion was renovated in the first place, it was already modern and taken care of very well.

She couldn't help looking around on her way to the kitchen.

'Ah you're up', she heard Jacws voice behind her. Somehow without looking at him, she knew he was smiling.

Brae turned around and with no surprise, saw a smile on Jaces face. He seemed happy.

'There was spit on my floor this morning, was the room cleaned before I got here?', she'd make it clear that no one should be punished for the mistake. But she also didn't want it happening again.
