The smile was wiped off my face.
'Shit', I thought, 'the fucking floor. The pleasure overran my brain and I forgot the floor', I was sloppy.
After I relieved myself, I was too afraid of being caught and didn't check the floor.
At least she mistook it for spit. I just need to stay calm. Blame this on the employees.
'I'll make sure to punish those who were in charge of the room', I said with a straight face.
Good. This is a great response. Because if this is what ruins us, I'm gonna be so fucked.
I studied her face. She didn't look convinced.
She had a blank face on like she didn't believe me. It was like she saw right through me, or maybe that's just my concious making my feel guilty. It felt as if time has slowed down while I was waiting for her response.
It was quiet for a while and the longer she didn't answer, the more anxious I got inside. It felt like my body was getting heavier and I was sinking.
'She couldn't have found out, please say something', my mind was racing with ways to rectify the situation if she didn't believe me.
What would I do? I didn't want to even imagine what I'd do. I don't want to lock her up, it'll only ruin our relationship even more.
'You don't need to punish them, Jace. The room doesn't have to be spotless clean, I just don't want spit on the floor', she rolled her eyes for what seems like the billionth time since I got her back.
I sighed a huge sigh of relief. She's so kind. I wish I could flip a button and be the kind of man she loves. It would be perfect. This whole mess wouldn't have happened. It would of been perfect right from the beginning.
