As I reach the 6th floor and turn into my substantially large office, I remember that I need to photocopy some documents from last night's investigation. Logging onto my computer I find the email exactly where it's supposed to be and send it off to the printer. Grappling with my many folders I find an empty plastic folder and walk down to the 5th floor printer, the only one that prints in colour, passing hated colleagues and loved friends as I go. When I get to the printer, there's a long queue, seems like I'll be here a while, I estimate around 15 minutes.
Once I've finished copying the documents I walk slowly back to the 6th floor. My head's swimming and my knees feel weak: I missed breakfast so I haven't eaten since last night. Suddenly I hear screams coming from the other side of the building and I feel another wave of nausea coming over me. My vision blurring, I see Hunter running across the room. "Luna!" I hear the familiar voice that never fails to make my cheeks flair scream my name. But not in a good way: his voice is full of fear. I see blood streaming down the scarred side of his face and his panicked eyes lock onto mine. In an instant I'm on the floor, Hunter on top of me. His blood staining my white blouse like wine on a table cloth. "Hunter?" I say. He doesn't move. "Hunter" I repeat his name, no longer as a question but more of a demand. "Hunter" I say again. Panicking now, my voice tremors and my breathing accelerates "no, no, no, no, you said you'd never leave, you said... you said". Blood tints my vision, blinding me and I reach up and realise there's a large cut oozing blood into my eyes. Hunter's unconscious face swims through my vision and my hand falls to the ground. Everything goes black.
