Chapter 50 - Dinner

When Min Soobin mentioned on the phone that he will be picking her up for dinner, Oh Miyeon found herself being quite shocked, and before she could question him on the reason, he hung up on the call. Being too scared to call him back, she waited for the dreadful moment to her.

Judging from the tone he had used, she could see that what he was feeling was opposite to pleased, and at that, only negativity filled her mind.

For couple of minutes, Miyeon banged her head on the wall, hoping that it would help her recall about last night's incidents. But her efforts only resulted in a red bump on her forehead.

One glance at her watch was enough to ensure her of the cruel reality. The time seemed to be passing awfully fast, and seeing how ten minutes or so had passed, Miyeon wondered whether or not should she come with any excuse to escape this.

However, knowing that this would not be last of it, she decided to muster up her courage and deal with it. The sooner the better after all— a phrase she kept repeating in her mind for the past hour.

While Miyeon was trying to fix her jumbled thoughts and get rid of her anxiety, the sound of her doorbell ringing reached into her ear.

Reflexively, her palms began to sweat at that, and all the attempt she had put into calming herself had gone to waste.

Opening the door was one of the things she desperately did not want to do at this moment, but clearly knowing the consequences of that decision, she hesitantly made her way to the door.

While she unlocked her door, she let out a deep breath— hoping that her anxiety will be carried away long with it— and replaced her panic-stricken face with a smile.

Regardless of how much effort she put into perfecting that smile, her nervousness easily leaked off of her, causing that smile to appear forced.

Seeing the man stand before her, she held the door ajar and studied his face. Other than the usual nonchalance, nothing else could be seen upon it.

This brought irritation within her. In this way, she did not understand what type of situation should she be preparing herself from.

"Mr. Min, you are here already," she spoke out, "Would you like to take a seat inside?"

"No," he curtly answered.

"Right," she said, "You mentioned something about the dinner, right? I wonder what's the reason behind suddenly inviting me for a dinner? Did something happen?"

"Did it inconvenience you?" he asked, raising one of his eyebrows.

Seeing him like that put an inexplicable psychological pressure upon her, and to such a face, it was impossible for her to say 'yes'.

"No, that's not the case. I was just curious. That's all," Miyeon stated, shaking her head and letting out a sheepish giggle.

"We will be discussing over the dinner," he voiced out, "You don't need to be nervous."
