Once Miyeon had sobered up considerably, Minjae dropped her off in front of her apartment complex, and after he had left, Miyeon climbed up the stairs. As she was about to unlock the door to her apartment, Miyeon heard footsteps behind her.
"Miss Oh, let's talk."
Hearing that familiar voice, she turned back. Before her stood Min Soobin, and seeing him at that time of the day managed to surprise Oh Miyeon.
Her eyes clearly translated what she felt as she questioned, "What are you doing here?"
Holding a conversation with him wasn't something she was in mood for in that moment, especially after cursing at him throughout the entire night. She was somewhat afraid of seeming pathetic and letting him know of her true feelings.
"About what had happened yesterday, I felt quite restless," he voiced out, "I might be troubling you with this, but at this moment, I don't care."
"Aren't you being too selfish, Mr. Min? Whatever you have for me, I am not interested in it. Let's just maintain our relationship as a boss and employee for the remaining time. Getting tangled up would not be doing any good to both of us," Miyeon vocalised— her eyes showing her determination— as she folded her arms over her chest.
"As long as it is something I want, I try to get it by any possible means, Miss Oh," Soobin stated.
Creases appeared between both of Miyeon's eyes while she asked, "Are you trying to threaten me?"
"Maybe that's what my desperation would lead me to do. Miss Oh, probably you are the only one who will be able to help me gain my memories, and that's why, I want you to cooperate with me. I assure you that you will be as much as advantageous as me from this," Soobin voiced out.
"Hold on! Aren't you having a misunderstanding there? How do you expect for someone like me to help you gain your memory? Might I remind you that we hardly spent any time together plus I was too insignificant for you to even vaguely remember, Mr. Min," Miyeon said.
"I want to decide that on my own, Miss Oh," Soobin vocalised, "If there are no problems other than that, then—"
"Of course, they were just simple excuses. The thing is that, Mr. Min, I don't want to help you with this. There is no reason for me to get involved with this, and moreover, I find your attitude quite irritating," Miyeon stated.
"Wasn't I a close friend of yours?" Soobin raised one of his eyebrow.
Oh Miyeon scoffed at that and spoke out, "It doesn't suit you to pull such a card, Mr. Min. The thing is that yes, Min Soobin was a guy who meant a lot for me, and maybe there was nothing that I wouldn't do for him. But unfortunately, you hold no resemblance to that Min Soobin if it isn't for that face or identity of yours."
Before Min Soobin was able to continue further, he let out a sneeze.
