"Instead of that, I need protection from you," Miyeon said.
"Protection as in?" he raised one of his eyebrows.
"It is just as it is. Even if this fails, you still need to protect me. Protect me from the media, people around you, your fiancée— if she doesn't like this— and Oh Bohyun.
I am sure you know who she is. Since I have offended her recently, she might take actions against me," she vocalised, "So, if you agree to these terms, let's sign a contract about it."
"The conditions were much simpler than I expected," he spoke out.
"We have different views on it," she voiced out, "These mean a lot to me than something of monetary value."
He nodded and stated, "Make sure to keep confidential about all the details. Even though my loss of memory is no secret, it would be better if lesser people knew about it."
'Minjae already knows about it, but I don't think that counts since that happened before Soobin told me about it.'
"Noted," she said, "Oh! One more thing, can we do it after my task is done? This could be distracting, and I would prefer to solely concentrate on my work," Miyeon voiced out.
"I see no problem with that," he spoke out, "I will have my secretary draw up a contract and send it to you as early as possible."
'As early as possible? It's not like I will be running away, so take your time.'
"By the way, can I talk to you casually? It's seriously hard for me to talk to you formally, and since we are going to help you with regaining your memory, that does appear to be more appropriate.
I apologise for being that straightforward with you, but that's just personality. So, you have to bear with it. That came out wrong. However, I am guessing you understand I try to mean."
"For someone who was quite reluctant in the beginning, you got comfortable really fast, but sure if that's what you want," he answered.
Not understanding whether or not he was trying to mock her with those words, she pulled on a smile upon her face and said, "Alright then.
Don't worry! I won't do anything like that in public. I will pretend as if I don't know you if we meet in public. One more thing, since I am going to treat you casually, I have to say that I am quite talkative. So, if it makes you uncomfortable, do let me know about it."
He nodded his head and replied, "I won't hold back on that. You seem quite enthusiastic on this. It doesn't seem that you were against it in the beginning."
"That was just because you hurt my pride. If I must be blunt, I am quite excited that you persisted and I am getting to do this.
It's just that you have always helped me in highschool, and it's great that I am getting the chance to do that something like that to you. Moreover, you are the vulnerable one in this case."
"You gave off the impression of a plain girl who doesn't stand out at all, but it appears that I have judged wrong."
"That's what everyone thinks," she stated.
