Chereads / Meeting Him Again: Spoiled By The CEO / Chapter 5 - First day at work

Chapter 5 - First day at work

Standing in front of the door of the huge Night Entertainment Building gave rise to nervousness within Miyeon. The glass building let off an intimidating feeling, and sweat began to form o. her palm.

Sucking in some air, Miyeon exhaled, and gathering her courage, she pushed the glass, revolving door to enter into the outstanding building.

Sudden cold struck Miyeon due to the air conditioning, and it was easily visible that everyone was working in orderly manner, trying to complete their designated task. From the insides, Miyeon could definitely say it lives up to its reputation.

As Miyeon walked up to the receptionists, she could see that there were two females and one male at the desk. A gentle smile were on each of their face, giving a hospitable outlook.

"Excuse me, I'm Oh Miyeon, the selected artist," Miyeon spoke out to one of the female receptionist.

"Ms.Oh, you're right on time. The boss has been waiting for you at the top-most floor. It's the first office to the right," the receptionist politely answered Miyeon.

"Thank you."

With that, Miyeon walked off towards the employee's lift and waited for the door to open, internally praying that she doesn't come to face Bohyun. That would be a terrible way to start off the day. Stepping into the almost empty elevator, Miyeon was surprised when she was a familiar face.

Kim Hani stood beside her, and after the other day's event, it was extremely awkward facing her. Moreover, she didn't want to get picked on, just like it happened with other Minjae fangirls.

"I'm not going to eat you up. You don't need to look that frightened." Hani chuckled.

Despite the situation, Miyeon could without a doubt say that her chuckle sounded beautiful, and Miyeon wanted to mock Minjae for dumping her.

"You're not angry with me?" Miyeon cautiously questioned.

"There's no use in that. If he doesn't feel the same way for me, there's nothing much I can do against it," Hani spoke out.

Deep inside, Miyeon wished that all the Minjae fangirls would be as mature as her. Most of them were clearly spoiled brats with attitude problem!

"There's nothing between him and me though; we're just friends although I seem to be his shield and victim more."

Miyeon felt within herself to clarify everything or else she would be overcome by guilt after seeing how hospitably she was being treated by Hani.

"You're a funny girl. I haven't seen you around here, so what are you doing here?" Hani vocalised.

"I'm here as a selected artist for the upcoming comic," Miyeon replied, "I assume you heard about it."

"Yeah, I did! Good luck then! The CEO will be personally talking to you about the matter since his younger brother is involved in the drama. I have seen the CEO once, and although he is strikingly handsome, the aura around him makes it hard to deal with him," Hani vocalized, "He could be really frightening at times."

"CEO as in Min Soobin?" Miyeon carefully asked, hoping that she would be wrong. One thing she didn't want was to face Min Soobin.

However, Hani nodded a yes, leading to Miyeon to let out an internal sigh. Why could not life support her for once?

"I think you're his classmate, right?" Hani asked.

"Yeah, for a short while until he transferred," Miyeon replied while she stared at her feet.

"It's my cue to go now. It was nice chatting with you." Hani smiled as the door to the elevator opened after reaching the designated floor.

"Same here," Miyeon politely answered while the girl walked away.

The graceful aura around the girl made Miyeon envious. Never would she be able to let out such an air.

Since the building had fifteen floors, the topmost floor meant that Miyeon had to get off at the fifteenth floor. The encounter with Soobin was surely going to be awkward for her, and she prayed that she would not end up embarrassing herself before him.

Finding the CEO's office after the elevator opened and she got off of it, she extended her hand to knock on the door.

A deep 'come in' resonated, and following the words, Miyeon gradually opened the door. Gingerly stepping inside, Miyeon cautiously closed the door behind her.

As Miyeon looked towards the front, the pair od deep, dark eyes, void of any emotions, staring at her stunned her. The Soobin infront of her seemed familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time.

His appearance seemed ethereal yet it didn't hold any type of girliness to it. Miyeon's heart pulsated faster over how much his jaws sharpened, his shoulders broadened, and his feature matured. He was more of a heartthrob right now then before.

'Aigoo! I am really jealous. Time favours some people, but it hates the other people.'

She bowed at him.

"Take a seat, Ms.Oh," Soobin said, gesturing to the chair infront of him.

Although he sounded polite, his gaze made her be extra careful, and nervousness grew within her. Min Soobin had the ability to make others intimidated with gaze simply.

With uneasiness filling her, Miyeon made her way to the chair and sat on it. Soobin's eyes scanned her, trying to read her, and this made her uncomfortable.

"Mr. Min, I'm here as a selected artist for the upcoming drama 'His Only One'," Miyeon awkwardly voiced out, hoping his gaze would not be that penetrating.

"I am sure you know have read all the rules and regulations on how our Night Entertainment operate, and violating anyone of those can lead to serious charges on you. Here's the contract you are needed to sign, and if there's something you find unfair, you can discuss with me at this moment," he explained, pointing at the paper before him.

Nodding, she raised her hand and picked up the document from the table. Opening up the front page, she attempted to read through the contents although his gaze was making it difficult for her to do so.

'Geez! I know that I look really shabby compared to everyone here, but can you not stare at me like that? It is disturbing! Ah! Is this the first time yog have seen a poor person?'

"I don't have any problems with the contract, Mr. Min," Miyeon vocalised after she had managed to read through the main points.

There were no unfair terms on the contract, and although some of the clauses were strict, she believed that she would be able to follow them. Considering the money that came with this, there was no way she could have any problems against it.

"I hope there will be no difficulties in the future. You can meet up with the scriptwriter to get the entire details on the storyline, and an copy of the signed contract will be soon sent to you," he spoke out.

"Do you really not remember me?" Miyeon asked, wondering where the sudden courage within her came from.
