Chereads / Meeting Him Again: Spoiled By The CEO / Chapter 7 - Agreed to it

Chapter 7 - Agreed to it

"Minjae, I agree to go on that date with you."

That's the first thing Miyeon said to Minjae after he opened the door to greet her. Surprised due to her sudden words, Minjae almost spat out the coke in his mouth.

Swallowing the drink, Minjae spoke out, "Repeat that again."

"You heard it; I agree to the offer of going to that date," Miyeon voiced out, walking into the hotel room he currently rented.

It looked quite shabby compared to where Minjae usually resided at. However, looking at the amount of money Miyeon lent Minjae, it made sense.

Expected of Minjae, he spared no effort in trashing the entire room. Cans of cold and alcoholic drinks could be found on the ground and not at the dustbin where they were supposed to be.

Moreover, the room reeked with the smell of alcohol, causing Miyeon to scrunch up her nose at the stink. The state of the room was worse than hers. Miyeon was surprised at how Minjae managed to do all this within span of a day.

"How do you even bear this?" Miyeon questioned, looking at Minjae who was dressed in bathrobe.

"Simple, I don't. I'm barely even here. You know, the girls keep me company in their own room," Minjae explained, smirking at Miyeon.

Miyeon let out a sigh at the male in front of her and said, "Whatever. Do something productive for once; you're homeless without the support from your family."

"Someone needs to keep those lonely girls accompanied. Coke?" Minjae questioned, handing Miyeon a can of drink.

Accepting the drink from Minjae, Miyeon popped open the lid of the drink and only to it resulting the fizzy drink in splashing on to her face and garment.

Licking her lips, she raised her hand to wipe of the remains of the sticky liquid from her face, and Ggaring at the laughing male in front of her, Miyeon vocalised, "I should have expected that."

"This is our toast for entering into this cohabitation," Minjae said as he winked.

"You're wrong. We're not going further from holding hands," Miyeon clarified, striding into the washroom to clean herself.

"Oops, forgot. The only one you want to take steps further with is your Soobinnie," Minjae voiced out in a teasing tone.

He then added, "I bet you haven't had your first kiss till now."

"Heol! What makes you think that I did not?" Miyeon voiced out before closing the door harshly in front of Minjae's face.

A chuckle left his mouth.

After spending time with socialites, Miyeon was like a fresh air to him; something about her released him from the suffocation. There was a time when he fancied her, and maybe there was some of those feelings remaining within her.

It wasn't hard for him to feel that way since Miyeon's outgoing, casual personality made him feel comfortable around her, and although she had grown out of it now, he found himself searching for those qualities within her.

After her family had driven her away, Miyeon moved away, leaving no way to contact with her. If Minjae tried to, he could communicate with Miyeon. Nevertheless, pressure from his family made it hard for him to do so.

Without her by his side, loneliness soon started affecting Minjae, but he couldn't do anything against it. He had to move on from Miyeon because chasing after her would only cause unnecessary troubles to her.

That is why, Minjae was elated when he got to see the girl after years at the class reunion. Sleeping at that couch, Minjae could easily see what the years did to her.

Her black hair grew longer, and her skin became paler. Her personality also had a change. Although she was easygoing like before, she grew up; she understood what struggle was and became more cautious of her acts.

Even though Minjae could easily start a conversation with her, she felt distant, and it wasn't that easy to see through her. The bubbly and optimistic her wasn't there anymore.

That made Minjae want to cling to her more and trouble her until he could find the her from the past despite a part of him knowing that the past her is not there anymore.

She is no longer that optimistic little girl who dreamt of a prince charming. In fact, she was a realist who believed that princes are fake; They only exist to fool people.
