Wearing a blue floral print shirt matched with black jeans, Miyeon rode a bus to the site of shooting. Unusually, the bus was almost empty, leaving a place for Miyeon to sit at, and by this, Miyeon could say that this is a good start to the day.
Soon enough, Miyeon arrived to the site, and, judging by the state, she could say that she was exactly on time for the shooting didn't yet begin.
All the staff members hurriedly ran around the venue, trying to fix everything in their proper places and arrange the settings. The director was yelling orders to his assistant while the assistant stared at the ground apologetically.
The movie that was to be shot had a ancient setting. The beginning started out with the male lead, the seventh prince, having a flirty personality and the female lead entering seventh prince's harem as his concubine to seek revenge for her murdered elder sister.
Despite the seventh prince being a casanova, he had a caring yet sly personality. He stayed away from the fight to achieve the throne and preferred having a favourable relation with his other brothers.
The female lead, on the other hand, loved her elder sister more than anything, and when she got to learn of her death at seventh prince's harem, she was grief-stricken. Enraged that the seventh prince declared her death as suicide, the female lead decided upon entering the harem and finding the culprit.
The male lead's carefree and the female lead's headstrong character frequently clashed together, leading to love blooming between them both. However, the peaceful love between them didn't last long, and when the female lead found out that the male lead had a hand in her sister's death, misunderstandings brewed between them. Moreover, a rebellion started against the crown prince, and a war broke out at the same time.
The story was equally sentimental and humorous, and it had the ability to easily capture the readers. The writing style of the author appealed to many readers.
The film director, whom Miyeon recognised as Kim Minhyuk, was a renowned and award-winning director, who also made fame internationally. To all the artists, it is considered to be an honour to work under him.
As Miyeon saw the pleasant face of the scriptwriter, she walked towards the male with the intention of wanting to greet him and also because there wasn't anyone she recognised over here.
"Ah! Miyeon, here you are," Hyunwoo called out, smiling when he saw the figure coming towards him.
After a polite bow, Miyeon said, "I don't think I'm late."
"You're not late; you arrived just in time. Jaehee and Taejoon are in the make-up room," he voiced out.
Bae Jaehee and Min Taejoon, the lead actress and actor in the drama, are both signed under Night Entertainment. Both of them are A-list celebrities, who rose to fame because of their hard-work, perseverance, and talent.
Taejoon was the younger brother of Soobin, and Miyeon met him a few time back in highschool. The male was two years younger than Miyeon and a rebel unlike his obedient brother. Nevertheless, Soobin treasured his brother a lot and supported Taejoon in whatever he pursued.
However, Miyeon and Taejoon did not get along well, and they couldn't stay at the same place for five minutes quietly without starting a arguement. The very first time Taejoon met Miyeon, he stepped on Miyeon's foot and didn't bother apologizing.
Being competitive, Miyeon did the same but on his both feet. Taejoon, who was always treated like a prince, grew angry and refuted by pushing Miyeon to the ground. On the other hand, Miyeon was frustrated over how the younger male treated her, punched his cheek with all her strength.
"How long has it been, shortie? Two years?" A male voice questioned, catching her by surprise.
Before she was able to turn back in order to see who it was, she felt someone grip on to her ponytail, causing her to let out a wince due to the pain.
Irked by the situation, Miyeon kicked on the male's thigh hardly to release her and pushed him away. Relief spread through her when the pain from her head was gone.
Fixing her hair properly, Miyeon glared at the strikingly handsome male and said, "No, Idiot, if you do the calculation properly, it's seven years."
"Really? I swear it felt much lesser, probably because time seemed to pass smoother when you were not there," he pointed out as a smirk formed on his face.
Controlling her urge to punch the disrespectful male, Miyeon retorted, "Dear, you don't need to think of an excuse for your lack of IQ."
Putting on a smile, Taejoon said, "I don't really have a knack for remembering insignificant things."
"But it appears that you have the tendency to start a conversation with insignificant things. Nevertheless, this insignificant thing has important task to do, so shoo away," Miyeon voiced out while waving her hand at him in a certain motion.
"My manager wanted me to check out who the comic book artist is, and I was actually excited. But it is as it is said, 'Never hold too much expectations'."
"Don't worry about that part. I'm just worried today I'll draw the ugliest character of my life," she vocalised.
"Says the one who eagerly applied for this despite knowing I'm the lead." Taejoon rolled his eyes.
"Sorry, buddy, but the money comes before you plus it was not released to the media that you're the male lead at that time." Miyeon stuck out her tongue at him.
Before Taejoon could retort, his manager, panting, ran towards him and spoke about something urgently in his ears. Taejoon's expression lifted hearing that with his eyes brightening, and he turned to leave.
He, then, stopped in his steps and turned towards Miyeon. With a wink in her direction, Taejoon commented, "I hope you don't daze while drawing me."
Miyeon scoffed and vocalised, "You will be lucky if I don't throw up while drawing you."
After Taejoon left, the scriptwriter let out a chuckle and said, "You both appear to have a cute relation, and it seems that the CEO is coming."
Miyeon inwardly snickered.
'That explains why his face looks like that of a loyal dog, whose master came home after decades."
