Just like in the games, a screen float in mid air in front of me. It said, ""Level up successful. Level 1 poltergeist". A million thoughts went through my mind, " Does this even make sense? My situation is too unscientific! Am I in a game? Is this a simulation? I simply cannot believe my eyes. I am a poltergeist? Is this a result of the energy ball hitting me? What was that energy ball last night? I heard that the afterlife shows a person how he lived his life and how it affected others, is this a result of that?"
I was thoroughly confused; wondering how I could level up and make the best use of my skills. While I was in an extremely befuddled state, the doctors continued with their investigations.
"Yup, this guy has no dermotoglphys. We couldn't id him with no dental records nor dna records. He might not even be someone from here." Dr Meifung said.
Dr Rebecca replied, "Could it be a case of adermatoglyphia?"
Dr Meifung continued with a frown on her face, "His identification card has his fingerprints and so does his driving license."
"Okay, I will run some more tests to find the cause of death. Meanwhile, the nurses have to reach out to the next of kin to check if he has any relatives."
Dr Meifung pushed up her eyeglasses and shook her head, lWe have exhausted our efforts, had called his family but no one answered the call. We emailed one of his relatives but the mail would not go through. It seemed as if this guy never existed."
What? I never existed? "Hello!"
Dr Rebecca whispered, "Did you hear that?"
Dr Meifung nodded and cleared her throat. Both doctors' were experiencing goosebumps at the same time. "I think it is time for a break, shall we go together?" Dr Meifung said as she zipped up the corpse. Dr Rebecca hastily agreed, tugging her by the sleeves to leave immediately.
This time, i decided to follow them and ignore the gaming screen. As long as I remember the route, I should be able to return.
