Chapter 34 - Chapter :Tide

"The more I let go, the more

electric I become, resonating

across tides and currents,

touching the sweetest gems

encircling me, calling me home.

The water in which I'm

suspended charges me like a

battery that runs on lightning."

Fifteen years ago.

My college commenced on the fall and the assignments started streaming soon. The professors and the TA were quite sterling yet I was finding it difficult to cope up with the daily challenges.Apart from all this though, I was getting into a rhythm with my lone study sessions at the library, my self defense classes and my daily early morning running. Full isn't it?Nope,if you consider my answer.Because inspite of all I felt an outcast and forlorn.

Before college, I was a bundle of nerves waiting to be snapped but as the time elapsed, other than thinking of my own career, I confess I didn't do much.Eventually like this, I had lost hold of my hobbies and passion. I gave up my freedom. Nonetheless, see me now ....I am fine, right?

In due course, the days progressed so swiftly that now its already summer break and I am dreading for my summer internship.

All this semester I had given my all and had worked so damn hard that I knew my credits will be excellent so that I could land on a top-notch internship.Quite an opportunity could it be,that is only if I acquired a brilliant offer. Hence due to this as soon as my exams were over I applied for five best biotech companies downtown.Too much aspiring, isn't it?

Now you might be wandering where would I be residing then. Well that had been a constant fear of my parents too.

Yet both Jack and I decided to share a two bedroom studio apartment near the exhibition galleries, which to be honest came a bit hefty for our pockets but it was alright. If we are careful in managing our finances diligently, it won't matter much.

Oops, did I forget to introduce Jack.He was one of the freshers like me whom I met at the orientation and we clicked. He was a star boy with an athletic build, average height (taller than my five feet four),having brown hair with blond highlights and yes a bright charming smile.Heart-throb definitely ,snobby a bit but with a kind, generous heart and a way too ambitious sometimes if you ask me.

Nonetheless,we had became fast buddies and if you snoop around, you would find that we were the most annoying nerds of our class so far.Always grilling our teachers with more doubts and queries. Seriously,we might have been by now earned the most eye-rollers award for each time we enquired something, we gained an evil eye-roll.

Now,back to my present scenario, in the break we had to clear out our dorms for the summer school students. Again after break,we could re-apply for them if we want to, that is.And frankly I haven't decided yet what I wanna do about my accommodation in the ensuing semesters. I just wanted to take one step at a time.No more future talks please....I had enough of them already.
