I SAW A TEARY-EYED Maggie, shocked, surprised na makita ang sasakyan ko.Right there and then I know I have fallen in love and I'm willing to surrender to my heart pero siguro 'di pa ngayon. Baka kailangan ko pang maghintay nang kaunti pang panahon. In God's time, everything will fall in the right place.
Tinakbo ko ang dapat ay ilang hakbang pa papunta kay Maggie to apologize. I am at fault here. I know.
"Sir David?!" Her eyes are almost crying. Was it because I shouted at her? How could I be so insensitive?
"I'm sorry, Maggie. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to shout at you and you won't lose your job. Please smile for me." I was holding her hands as if they are meant to be mine.
"Sir, hindi naman ako umiiyak dahil sa nangyari, naiiyak ako, kasi, kasi . . ." At bigla na lang siyang umiyak like there's no tomorrow. I felt like looking at my leading lady in a Korean Drama, but unlike the leading man who would know how to make her happy, I don't have a single idea as to what will make her happy. Should I just call Brian?
"Do you want me to call Brian?" Oo, may selos sa boses ko. But if its Brian that she needs, then it's fine.
"Ahm . . . no. I'll just go home."
"Look, Maggie, please let me help you."
"But, Sir." Oo, alam ko namang boss lang Ang tingin sa akin ni Maggie.
"Yes. I know I am your boss. But that doesn't mean that we can't be friends, right? So please tell me, why are you crying?"
"It's my Grandmother's birthday and, and I was supposed to go to the province but I forgot about it. It's so late already," she said in between sobs. Gustung-gusto ko na talaga siyang yakapin.
"Where is your province?"
"It's in Zambales."
"Do you know how to go there? Can you give directions? It's just past 8pm. We still have time."
"But I have work tomorrow."
"We can do it there. I have my laptop with me. Let's just call Lucy and tell her so she won't worry about you but will drop by in my unit first, ha. Will bake Blueberry Cake for your grandma."
