"Eh... I'm just here to buy some food... Please don't make matters hard for me..." Kanade said to a guy confessing to her in the cafeteria. He caused a scene that caused students nearby to gather around.
"Please! I won't move from here until you accepted my feelings!" The guy continued.
"Ugh... It does need a lot of resolve to be this lame in front of the crowd huh?" Some of the crowd said.
"It's way more interesting if she rejects, that'd destroy his entire virgin life in school lol!" Another student replied. It sounded so funny to them that even laughter started to propagate through the cafeteria.
"Please, stand up and be reasonable... It's uncomfortable..." Kanade said. Before anything could happen, another guy stepped in and pushed the confessing guy and pinned him down.
"Don't ever come close to her." Keita said. The crowd is amazed.
"Whoa... I've never seen this guy yet... He's so cool. Doing this in front of Kujou-san, is he interested in her too?" The crowd started discussing.
"Look at her, she's definitely blushing." Another student said.
"Oh, it's true!" Witnessing the rumour's birth is what Itsuki could do. The romance between a first year guy and the 'Flower of Hokutosei'. It disgusts Itsuki.
"Ahhhh! Forgive me!" The confessing guy ran off crying. The crowd is not leaving, as they still expect something to happen. Keita brushed off the crowd and made his way back upstairs with a bread he squished when he pinned the confessing guy down on the floor. It didn't take a while for the crowd to dissipate, and the cafeteria returned to its normal state.
"Are you alright, Kujou-senpai?" Itsuki asked.
"Uh yes, I'm alright. Thank you for your concern." Kanade said.
"Is there much people like them?" Itsuki tried to start a conversation.
"Ummm... Yes. There are quite a lot of them up to now..." Kanade said as she started counting her fingers past five, ten and so on.
"Whoa... That must be scary, being chased after by guys that you didn't know at all." Itsuki said.
"By the way, where is Kei-kun? Did he went back to class?" Kanade asked.
"Ah, I think so. Is there anything you want to tell him? I'll be sure to deliver it." Itsuki said.
"I think you should get your food before the stall closes." Kanade pointed out.
"Oh I forgot! I guess it'll be late anyways, let's see each other next time!" Itsuki said before heading off to one of the food stalls.
Keita walked back to the entrance of his class, while figuring out how to eat the bread he just deformed in that commotion earlier.
"Oh Futaba, what's with that bread?" Ayumi said as she walked out of the class.
"It just happened." Keita said.
"Did you hate food that much?" Ayumi asked.
"Not really." Keita said as he took a bite carefully.
"Woah, that looked gross." Ayumi said, as the word disgusted is well suited to explain the expression on her face.
"That's pretty rude, but I like how you're so honest about that." Keita said.
"Ehh?!" It's super effective against Ayumi?
"Uh... By the way! I'm wanting to ask you how to beat level 56 in Puzzle Hazard!" Ayumi exclaimed.
"Oh, okay." Keita walked into the classroom, to his seat and continued eating.
"Eh? Are you gonna help me or not." Ayumi said.
"Actually, I'm eating. I'll help you later." Keita said after he swallowed a small bite he chewed when he was walking just now.
"Uh, okay... I'm stuck there for like a couple of days for now... So please help!" Ayumi said, then she headed back to her place.
"Level 56 is just one of the easy levels, what could be difficult?" Keita thought. Ayumi sat down and watched Keita as she slowly eats his bread.
"Ding!" Keita's phone ringed. It's a message from RAINE.
"Are you a slow eater? Even my pet turtle eats faster than you -_-|||" Ayumi sent a message. Keita is seen tapping on his phone, the message Ayumi sent is marked as being read, yet Keita is not shown typing.
"Don't ignore me! >A<" Ayumi sent another message. Keita seemed to have noticed what she sent, but this time, it's not marked as read. Ayumi is annoyed. Keita is seen swiping his phone with only a hand, while he eat his bread with another. It took around five minutes for Ayumi to receive a reply that she did not expect.
"Level 56 isn't that difficult at all. Considering the fact that you may not even know how to win with both hands, this trick should help you." Keita sent a message in words, followed with a short video demonstrating how to beat the level.
"Wha... Is that even doable?" Ayumi thought after she watched Keita's video. The way he move his fingers across the screen is so quick and precise to avoid the trap in the beginning, and the swift movements sliding forth and back of the enemies to avoid being caught, it's too superb that she couldn't even see herself playing this game to its current level which is 210 levels in total.
"Are you a genius? How could you do that?" Ayumi sent a reply.
"You put two of your fingers each on both sides of your phone, then..." Keita began sending messages back. He was secretly feeling bored of this conversation. Little did he know that Ayumi had successfully started a conversation topic with him.
"He's so good in everything... I'm glad we could meet again. I'm so happy." Ayumi thought to herself, grinning through the day.
Seasons changed as time passes, yet for Keita, nothing ever changed other than the temperatures. It was spring, when his outlook towards his own life started changing. When the change finally hits Keita before he knows it, the key has always been in the past.
