They didn't hesitate and joined the conversation of everyone since this matter might affect them.
"I've heard that there are a lot of towns which have been destroyed by Deliora."
"Even so, that monster won't attack this town."
"Huh? How can you be so sure?"
"I've heard that it is going to the North. We're in the western part of the Land of Isvan and we don't have to worry about that monster." Waving his hand, the man continued to drink his beer.
"Deliora, huh?" Bourne only knew that it was a monster, but he didn't know the details of it. Though, he didn't think too much since it didn't attack his town. His act was the same when a disaster happened in another country in his previous life. Even though he felt sorry, there was nothing he could do besides giving a donation to the people who had become victims of that disaster. It was his feeling right now, he felt sorry and could give a donation, but to fight Deliora? He didn't have a dead wish since he had heard it could destroy a town in an instant.
"What is Deliora?" Lyon felt curious since it was his first time hearing such a strong monster. His actions were quite normal since children were quite capricious and they were curious about everything.
"Well, if I'm not wrong it should be a monster that is made by legendary magician, Zeref." One of the patrons answered carefully since the name of Zeref was very loud in this world.
Zeref was known as the strongest magician in this world and till now, there were a lot of people who had made a cult of him trying to resurrect him. Bourne thought that those cults were too lazy small minded, and had a mentality of loser. He was wondering why they put their hope on a dead magician. If they had more energy then it was better to spend their time to become stronger rather than attacking villages, kidnapping a lot of people for rituals, doing criminal acts, etc.
If Bourne met them then he would catch those people and sell them to the magician who needed a human for their experiment.
"Legendary magician, Zeref?" Lyon had an expression of disdain on his face. "Ur is stronger than Zeref!" From his point of view, Ur who could teach Bourne became a very strong magician was undoubtedly the strongest magician in his mind. For Zeref? Even though he might have been amazed, he had never seen Zeref and he didn't know how strong Zeref was. It was the reason why he thought Ur was stronger than Zeref.
Everyone laughed when they heard Lyon's words, but even so, they didn't believe that Ur was stronger than Zeref. Ur might be the strongest magician in this town, or might be this country, but in this world, Zeref was the strongest magician. It wasn't because they had seen Zeref's power or Zeref's magic, but since their childhood, they had been told about the story of Zeref which made them think that Zeref was the strongest magician who had ever lived in this world unconsciously. Such a thought had been planted in their minds for long time and it was hard to make them believe someone could be stronger than Zeref, especially when Deliora which had been destroying town after town was so strong which made everyone tremble was actually one of the monsters which was created by Zeref.
"You...?! Ur is the strongest!" Lyon felt that he was being insulted when everyone was laughing.
"Calm down, Lyon. I've said to you before that there are a lot of magicians who are stronger than me." Ur patted Lyon's head to calm him. Though, she felt a bit worried about Deliora and thought that she needed to prepare since Deliora might change its direction. She thought that she needed to prepare at least to see how powerful it was to prepare herself better to protect both Bourne and Lyon.
"Hmm....."
Ur noticed that Bourne was thinking about something. "What's wrong, Bourne?"
Hearing Ur's question, Bourne answered, "I've been thinking how strong Deliora is."
"Then do you want to see it?" Ur asked.
Bourne twitched his lips and looked at Ur with a strange expression. Even though he was curious, it didn't mean that he wanted to see it.
Ur seemed to understand what Bourne meant and explained. "I don't mean to see the Deliora itself, rather we can go to see the town which is destroyed by Deliora. If we go to those towns then we might be able to grasp how powerful it is."
Bourne thought for a while and nodded. Rather than solving it, it is better to think about prevention. He didn't want to be unprepared and at least, he wanted a way to be able to save his life from the danger. His thought might seem cowardly, but when everything would be useless if he lost his life. Rather than pushing his limit recklessly depending on luck, it was better to run away and get stronger to have revenge. There was a saying:
"When a nobleman takes revenge, ten years is not too late; one should bide one's time and wait for the right opportunity to seek vengeance; similar to "revenge is a dish best served cold."
Bourne also believed that it was better to see it directly to see how powerful it was rather than hearing it since it was hard to imagine how strong it was by hearing a rumor.
"So we're going to see the destroyed town?" Lyon was a bit curious, but he was more excited when he thought that Ur would defeat Deliora. He couldn't wait to see if Deliora would beg mercy under Ur's power.
"Well, we have a new vehicle which has been built by Bourne and we can go there quite faster." Ur had to admit the magical vehicle which was made by Bourne was very useful and it could shorten the time for travel which was a very great help.
"Good! When are we going? Now?" Lyon asked excitedly.
"Bourne, what do you think?" Ur asked.
"Let's do it tomorrow since it is quite late. I don't want to arrive in the location during the dark." Bourne had always been careful since he only had one life. He had died once and it would be regretful to die quickly once again. He had promised to live together with Ur and he didn't want to break that promise.
"Alright, let's do it tomorrow." Ur agreed since she felt that it was too hasty to go out now.
"Eh....?!" Lyon felt a bit disappointed, but he knew that he couldn't do anything.
Ur remembered something and asked, "How is your progress on Telephaty magic?" She felt that magic was quite necessary and would become a great help during their expedition to the town which was destroyed by Deliora.
"Alright, I can use it within a 1km radius." Bourne didn't focus on learning Telephaty magic since it was only an auxiliary magic. As long as he could use it then it was alright and he didn't need to focus that much on learning it.
Ur nodded and had to admit that her pupil was prodigdy. "Alright, let's go back to prepare for tomorrow."
Lyon and Bourne agreed and went back to prepare for their journey to check Deliora's trail.
