Hearing such a request, Ur raised her eyebrow for a while looking at Gray. She didn't need to guess what was the reason why he asked her for this request.
Lyon was surprised when Gray asked this request since he thought that Gray would be gone after Gray had recovered, but he didn't expect Gray to ask Ur to teach him magic. Unlike Bourne who was Ur's pupil from the beginning, he was still working hard to defeat Bourne so he could become Ur's pupil so the appearance of Gray made him annoyed since he felt that his position would be threatened by him. He looked at Ur with an expectation to reject Gray's request.
Bourne yawned and didn't care too much whether Ur was going to receive Gray or not. He could see the purpose of Gray to learn magic was for revenge. Frankly, he felt sorry for Gray and he didn't really mind if Ur decided to teach Gray since adding one more person didn't really matter since Ur had also taught Lyon.
Ur pondered for a while and felt that it might be too unfair if she didn't give Gray a test.
"I'm sorry. I can't teach you."
"What?!" Gray didn't expect Ur to reject him. His face was indignant and asked, "Why?"
Though at the same time, Ur was afraid for Gray to kill himself since this guy would have a suicide tendency from what she learned from her talk with Bourne last night. "If you want me to teach you then you should show the ability to do so."
Gray raised his eyebrow and asked, "What should I do?"
"Fight Lyon." Ur pointed her finger at Lyon and said, "If you can match him then I can teach you magic, but if you want me to make you into my pupil then you need to defeat Bourne." Though, in her mind such a thing was impossible.
"I don't care whether I can become your pupil or not, but it is easy for me to defeat both of them." Gray looked at Lyon and Bourne with disdain since he didn't think that he would lose to both of them.
"You...?!" Lyon was furious when he saw Gray's reaction.
Bourne glanced at Lyon and remembered that this little guy also did the same as Gray last year. It had been a few months since Lyon had joined them and without realizing it, the date had become X774. Looking at Gray and Lyon, he was pretty curious about the result of the battle between them.
"Come on, I'll defeat you so this woman can teach me magic!" Gray was very impatient while taunting Lyon.
"Good, I'll teach you about pain in your body so you won't be able to forget it." Lyon had made up his mind to beat out the hell of Gray.
Gray looked at Bourne with his gloomy face and taunted him. "Wait here, I'll beat the shit of you after I've defeated him."
"Bastard!" If a stare could kill someone, Lyon had done it several times since his stare was really scary. He didn't expect Gray to ignore him and it made him furious.
Bourne looked at Ur and asked, "It is unexpected for you to ask him to fight Lyon?"
"Yeah, it is unfair to let Lyon be the one who has the test so I think that I should let Gray do the same too." Ur explained.
Bourne nodded and felt that it was reasonable.
"So who do you think is going to be the winner?" Ur asked.
"Lyon without doubt." Bourne didn't think Gray, a child without knowledge about magic or martial arts, could beat Lyon who had been training with him for the past few months.
Ur agreed, even though she didn't say anything since she could also see Lyon's improvement for the past few months.
---
Lyon and Gray stared at each other.
Lyon looked at Gray in disdain and said, "Come at me! I won't use my magic! So you won't say that I'm cheating on you!"
"You...!" Gray, who saw Lyon's disdainful expression, felt insulted. Even though he had done the same before. He rushed towards Lyon and raised his fist to punch him.
Lyon's response was pretty simple since he could see that Gray was an amateur. In terms of fighting, he might not be able to match Bourne, but it was definitely enough to beat the hell out of a child who had never received training. He dodged Gray's punch easily then counterattacked him by punching Gray's cheek.
*Baam!*
Gray felt that his cheek was hurt and he dropped to the ground. He held his cheek and almost cried since he had never been punched like this before.
"Get up! You can't even beat me, how are you going to defeat Deliora?" Lyon smiled looking at Gray.
"You bastard!?"
Gray stood up and rushed into Lyon's stomach to bring him down.
Lyon didn't expect this move from Gray and he lost his composure.
Gray started to punch Lyon and Lyon also punched Gray in a hurry. Both of their fights quickly became a dogfight with an intention to beat the hell out of their opponents.
Ur frowned and asked, "Is it alright to let them?"
Bourne rolled his eyes since Ur was the one who let them fight each other, but he answered regardless. "Well, Gray needs to release all of the negative emotions in his heart and fighting is the best way to do it."
"Hmm.... Well, I believe you. Even if they're wounded, you can heal them after all." Ur wasn't that worried when both Lyon and Gray were wounded because of the fight. Even though she couldn't use her magic to heal someone, Bourne was able to heal them using his "Water" magic. '
---
The fight between Lyon and Gray was over, and both of them had received a lot of wounds and bruises on their bodies. Both of them were laying on the snowy ground with a heavy breath. They used all of their might to fight, though Lyon didn't expect Gray to be this powerful. He was very tired and couldn't wait for Bourne to heal him since his entire body felt tired and painful at the same time.
Gray didn't think too much and his mind was blank after the fight. He felt that he had released the pent up feeling in his heart somehow, but at the same time, he realized how weak he was since he couldn't even defeat Lyon.
"Lyon, what do you think about him?" Ur asked.
Lyon had an indignant expression on his face and said, "...I hate to admit it, but I think that it is alright for him to receive your training, Ur." Even though he didn't want to admit it, he thought that Gray was powerful and he also felt that he needed to train harder.
"Good." Ur nodded and looked at Gray. "So Gray, I'll teach you my magic from now on, but I won't make you my pupil since you haven't been able to defeat Lyon."
"....I know.." Gray was gloomy but inwardly, he knew that it was his chance to become stronger.
"Bourne, can you heal them?" Ur asked.
"Alright."
Bourne nodded and walked toward Gray and Lyon. He released water on both of his palms before putting his palms on the chests of both Lyon and Gray. He could use his "water" magic to redirect magic energy around the body, concentrating more energy into a wounded area and allowing that area to heal at an accelerated rate.
Gray, who wanted to ask something, was quiet after he saw that his wounds were healed at an accelerated rate which made him in shock since he had never seen such a thing happen in his life.
"Eat a lot then rest. Tomorrow, you need to prepare for your first magic training." Ur reminded.
"...Yes.." Gray thought that it was a wise choice of him to ask Ur to teach him magic since he could tell that both Bourne and Lyon were quite powerful, especially Bourne, who had an ability to heal his wounds.
'Deliora... Just wait!'
