Spencer feels restless. He needs to do something with this another argument he has with Deana.
Spencer was in deep thought, pondering things what he should do. Maybe he better to call her? He stood from the seat and looked for his phone. He wonders where he throws it after he makes the call earlier.
Ah, probably in the bedroom. And he found it on the bed. Spencer picks up the gadget and dialed Deana's phone number, but she just ignores the call. He attempted to reach her three times, but she absolutely mad at him again. He sighed.
If Deana doesn't want to answer his call, then maybe a text message... even she will ignore his message, as long as he sends one and she would still read them before she will delete it.
Spencer began typing on his phone, but he doesn't like what he came up with. It was a long speech. He deleted it. He tried making another draft and it is the same as the first one; it is a little longer and curvy. The text must be short but specific to what he wants to convey to her.
Then, he came up to a short text: 'Thank you for the soup and porridge.'
Ah, it's not enough. What he should add to become sounded more sincere?
Spencer is contemplating the things that had to happen between them in these past years. It seems, there is no openness between them ever since in the beginning.
Mostly, he would just do things he believes is best for her without asking her side. He continued pondering until he came up to this...
'Thank you for the soup and porridge. I'm sorry.'
He then presses the send button. Ugh, did his message is all right? It was too short. He waited for a response but Deana did not reply to him. She really is mad at him. So, Spencer rested his forehead to his knuckles and thinking once more if how he can reach to her which not being obvious they knew each other? This is tough than dealing with his uncompetitive executives.
Evening... Deana woke up and take a glance at the bedside table. Past seven? No! Jason must be looking for her!
She sat up on the bed and reached for her phone. Jason has five missed calls and messages. She was replying to him when Melinda came out of the bathroom.
"Hi! You were awake! Sorry, I answered your phone earlier. It seems your boyfriend been calling so, I told him you were sleeping. Hope you don't mind?"
"Oh, no. It's okay. Thank you."
"Our photoshoot is amazing that exhausts us to the verge of our energy… so, I told your boyfriend to let you have a rest for now."
"Hmm... thank's for that. I really feel like, I just wanted to take a rest right now. You going out?"
"Ah, nope. I will hit the gym to digest my lunch. The food here is superb!"
"That is true. Blaire and brother Quinn ensure to have the best chefs and cuisines to serve."
" Indeed. Those siblings are really the best!" Melinda realized that she said something off. "Oh, I am sorry. I didn't mean to-" Melinda gives an apologetic look.
"It's okay, no worries," she smiled bitterly.
Anyway, she agreed to Melinda. The Williams siblings are truly the best people on earth you'll meet that you would feel envy of the relationship they have... then surrounded with amazing friends. Well, she is blissful to be called one of 'these friends' which she feels blessed about.
Melinda left and her eyes filled with sadness. What supposes to be when having a sibling? Isn't that; being selfless and equally thinking about each other no matter what? Deana shook her head.
It was in the past. Isn't the reason she tried to distance herself from Spencer? Is it to forget the past? But she can't escape nor run away from him. He was always there like her shadow.
Deana nudges the unnecessary memories inside her head. She walks toward the dresser to look for her charger when she notices the bouquet of Tulips with variant colors. She wonders if for whom and from whom these flowers?
It must be for Melinda, but she knows of what favorite flower she likes. Ugh, she is very curious and so; she picks up the greeting card on top of them and reads it.
"I'm sorry..."
Is what written then initials of— 'S. L. A.' it means, the flowers were from Spencer! Definitely, the flower is for her, tulips are her favorite flowers and he knew that.
She loves visiting the Lenzburg Mansion back in Switzerland especially when the season of flowers to their full bloom. She will stay in the garden all day, reading a book or having a nap on the swing. She sighed. Those memories, which cannot bring back anymore as she doesn't want to step back into that mansion ever again.
Deana heard a knock on the door. It was a hotel boy delivering some dinner for her. She thanked him then peeking at the food that sent to her suite. Hmm… the aroma is familiar.
She was speechless. All these foods were exclusive by the Lenzburg recipes. Then this means, Spencer, who prepared them. Wait a minute, that guy has a fever, then, he's moving around even he has the flu. It looks like; he wants to scold. But she was touched for his effort, the least, his actions of apologizing have leveled up greatly.
So, could she keep pretending that she still mad at him? Deana is biting her lip if she must text him and thanked him. Well, maybe there is no harm to returned the gratitude to his effort. And so she did!
Meanwhile, Spencer was at a dinner meeting with the Tycoons and with President Quinn Williams regarding their partnerships. He felt his phone vibrating. He reaches his pocket and read the message he received. Instantly, his lips tore with a smile.
Setting across him is Quinn, who raised a brow after he caught him at that moment. He glanced at Jake, who just shrugged his shoulder, like saying 'it is none other than who that be'. Well, they need not ask, they have guessed already.
Quinn just shook his head, continued his speech toward his friends and business partners.
'Poor guy...' Quinn smirked.
And Spencer understood that this mighty President is teasing him. Spencer just rolled his eyes. He is such a bully, he should have known. He needs to be careful next time of showing his emotion in front of this boss.
