Chapter 1 - Little too Late.

Maybe when I said, " I wish my old imaginary friend was real!" I should have checked if there were more stars in the sky. Let me explain.

See, I am a delinquent. I never do crap ( Besides my homework Ms. Katherine would kick my behind if I didn't), I say whatever comes to mind. I literally get so much detention that there is plaque for " Most Detentions: Heathen Thomas" above my usual desk. As you saw aforementioned my name is Heathen Thomas. Yes, I know what you're thinking ' what were my PARENTS thinking!" Truth is they died before I could even understand what my name meant. They died in drunk driving accident. Yes they were the drunk drivers. So I grew in Saint. Amelia's orphanage. So, add that up, the orphan delinquent plus having no friends plus being name Heathen equals looking out the window like a fairytale princess and wishing the imaginary friend I had as a child was real. Pathetic right. So, (dang I say so a lot don't I) ' Blam Blam Bam Kapow!' here I am sitting in a chair in front of my old imaginary friend. Castor. Castor Thomas. My made up brother.

" So?" Castor drawled bouncing on the balls of his feet, " miss me?" I blinked. Then 'bam' the whole situation hit me in the face like a baseball. ( yes I know what it looks like)

" W-well, aren't you supposed to be in the imaginary friend version of the great beyond?" He frowned. Then pouted. It was adorable.

" You don't miss me?" He asked forlornly. I sighed dang this was going to be a long night.

" Of course I do, buddy, but how did you get here?" I responded.

" Well, you wished for me to become real and the King decided to grant you wish." I didn't want to know who the king was, but he looked at me expectantly like he wanted me to.

" Okay, who is this King you speak of?" I asked him. He got this really excited look on his face like he was talking about his idol.

" The King is the the King of Pura. The imaginary friend kingdom. Each night every person who looks at the first star in the sky and makes a wish and they make their way to the King, then the King decides who deserves it the most and which one is best and tonight he chose you, Heath!" He replied excitedly.

" Yeah, don't get me wrong I love that you're hear but can you go home?" I questioned

" Nope, now it's too little too late," He chirped and glee beamed at me. He came up and hugged me. It took me a second to relax into the hug. It had been so long since I had gotten a hug, this one felt safe, like home, like my Castor.

He stepped back after a minute, and I took his appearance. His auburn red hair tuffled into a windswept look, about 5'11 now, a angular yet soft looking face, Silvery grey eyes that faded into a ocean blue like the Caribbean Sea on a cloudy day, he had a muscular yet swift build like a swimmer, and his weekend style outfit of a t shirt a hoodie zipper jacket, jeans. and some sneakers. All in all he looked a lot like he did when I was seven except now he now looks like a teenager not a Seven year old. Crap, I forgot! It's Sunday there is school tomorrow and where am I supposed to leave him, in the attic? Castor looked at me with a thoughtful look on his face, then realization dawned upon it.

" Yeah, was the King already took care of the school and housing stuff. We'll be moving to our new home tomorrow and you'll be transferring to Alsera Academy next week with me," he said with nonchalance. Dang a rich kid school and a new house. My life was looking up. Now, I need some sleep. So I bid goodnight to my brother in all but blood and we laid down in the beds in my room,( there are two in all of the rooms, no one wanted to bunk with me) and I fell asleep to the thoughts of my new life with my brother.
