Chapter 6 - Inochi no ki tribe (2)

"Let's get you to someplace safe." Hikari assured me as if I could still hear him. "Guards! Search the entire hut and the surrounding area for any intruders!" Hikari ordered. "Hai Shefu Forest Hikari!" The teenagers quickly shouted and disbanded to cover more ground. "Kage I wish for you to join them, since they are your Minarai and are new to the job." Hikari ordered. "Hai Shefu." Kage replied quickly as he ran off.

When I woke up I was in yet another place. I think I'm starting to adjust to this whole, waking up in a different place thing. "mmmh where...?" I tried to speak. "You are in my hut little Treeko." Hikari explained. "Tell me who was threatening you." Hikari ordered. He wasn't asking me but ordering me?! How dare he... But he did have a point... I did yell out for no reason, and anyone nearby would have assumed I was being harmed or something bad was happening. I then explained to him the reason why I yelled out. "Pffft! You're so brutally honest! Anyone in this kind of situation would have lied!" Hikari chuckled. "What is the point in lying? It will only escalate the situation further." I explained. "Now that I have calmed down I now realise the meaning behind your actions. You were only trying to help and for this mistake I apologise." I said as I knelt down on one knee and bowed my head to show the sincerity of my apology. "... I forgive you. Now get up! There is no need for that!" Hikari said as he picked me up and carefully steadied me into a standing position. "You didn't need to go that far!" I said as I puffed out my little Treeko cheeks i annoyance. "You're too cute for your own good Treeko!" Hikari said as he held back a laugh and started pinching my cheeks.

"H-Hey! Stop that!" I said as I proceeded to puff my cheeks once again. "Awww! But you look so cute though!" Hikari whined. Also! Thats not my name! My name is-" I tried to speak, but then felt a huge wave of pain that traveled through my body, making me dizzy which caused me to lose my footing.Hikari then caught me without hesitation. "My... Name.... Is..." I remembered the way Hikari introduced himself and decided to do the same. "H-Heart....Hailey." I stuttered out my name. I decided to use this world's last name instead. I never liked my last name anyways. We both also had the same first name so I wasn't bothered. When I said my name all the pain washed away, painfully and slowly as I felt something warm touch my shoulder. As if someone had slowly wrapped me up into a magic, healing, and warm blanket. I then realised what was happening. Hikari was healing me with synthesis. I thought you could only use it on yourself. I look up at him in confusion. "I thought... You could only... Use that... On yourself?" I asked him, barely a whisper. "You haven't met another Pokémon of our species? What happened to your parents?" Hikari asked. I explained my situation to him from seeing my soul to seeing and becoming myself, everything. "That's... Hard to take in..." Hikari said in shock. " But... I believe you... You don't seem to know many things from what I have seen." Hikari said trying to reason with himself as to why I told him this. Hikari then pointed to a bundle of neatly placed leaves. The ends and middle of the bundle had been tied together with vines. "What do you think that thing is?" He asked me. " Some type of bed...?" I looked at him with clear confusion. "Close, it's a Rīfubeddo." Hikari explained. "It's means leaf bed." Hikari explained again. "Sore wa rinikanatteiru" (that makes sense) I said without thinking. Hikari then stared at me wide eyes. I then realised what I just did and covered my mouth in shock. I spoke Japanese, but it was their ancient language.
