Twists and turns, up and down, left and right, the structure was a confusing labrynth, to the human eye - even to the demon eye- it is a puzzle to be not ease to be solved. However, the black-haired boy lead the way through each corridor, until finally they were standing outside the medical room.
Staring at the door, Serentilia decided to turn to the warlock. Unhappiness spread from him, his frustrated face only showed what they would expect - tiredness. He looked at her, a faint reassuring smile lit his face gently, a smile that made her smile back too. She looked back at the door and decided to enter first.
Smell of different herbs and essences filled the room. A fresh scent. On both sides of the room, carefully prepared beds were standing next to eachother. Twent-five, on each side. The grandness of the room made it look that the group were a small ant colony, not even that. Its high ceilings, with beautifully engraved stories, shone brightly under the light, that illuminated the room.
The boy, who was carrying Lil, placed her on the first bed - her blood slowly staining through to the covers. Her eyes rested peacefully - for the moment - her body was relaxed (even with all the injuries engulfing her skin. Beautiful, gold hair - however - was in a simple braid, giving the impression that nothing happened.
"Hey , doc! Come here quickly, we got an injured." the boy shouted out loud to the man right at the back. His orange ,flaired hair stood at the mention of his name, or nickname.
"Who is it this time Be, Izzy?" he asked calmly. Still not looking in the direction of the group.
Be sighed, he was tired and wanted to sleep, and no one was making it easier for him. He looked back at the grown ups.
'I guess they feel the same'
The mother had dark circles under her eyes, yet she did not look tired, but worried. On the other hand, the warlock was getting mad and wanted to sleep. His purple cat eyes showing aggression.
"Nope, a human girl who was caught in the middle of the fighting. I think..." he replied after a while.
At that, the orange haired man turned around. His glasses just at the tip of his nose, his face was showing the clear confusion and worry for the news he was just given. Almost immediately, he was at the bed side of the girl. He looked at her for one second and commanded Be to get his medical bag.
He did as he was told.
He looked at Lil, frowned, than looked at Serentilia - his mouth hang slightly open; the same golden hair, it was a clear similarity. He smiled and got his bag of from Be. He looked at everyone and asked if they could all leave the room, apart from the worried-sick mother. He said that he would concentrate better with fewer people around him.
They both abided. When Be started leaving, Serentilia looked at him leaving, with a slight smile on her mouth.
Once the room was left with only three people, he looked at Serentilia and asked if she could draw the mark of Curatio on her as she would probably need it. Whilst she was deciding where to start drawing with her pen, Henry told her to dress Lil in something that would be easier for him to wrap the bandages around. She did as she was told, she found a white nightgown and changed Lil, whilst Henry looked away. He lifted the gown up high enough to see all the wounds. Noticing them, Serentilia decided to draw it on her left arm. Blood. The same red blood colour that filled her nightmares ever since she was a child.
"She wasn't cut by swords, so where did all these cuts come from? I know a werewolf was on her but he didn't cut her.... I think. I don't know Henry." the words barely left her lips.
"You see, Seren, for the past couple of months, the hidden people have been trying to get in sneaky ways of hurting their prey. For example: a werewolf might not even touch a person but they could cut with their claws from a distant. Magic was clearly at use here." He stated as he stared at Lil's injured body slowly repairing itself. The only injuries that were left, were the deeper cuts. He took out the bandages, covered them with disinfectants, and tightly wrapped them on her body.
He smiled. Serentilia noticed that beads of sweat were slowly slithering down his slippery face. She knew why, yet still did not understand his logic. Smiling relieved, she looked at him and said: "take a blood test, I want to know if she has the blood of the angels -" she said before being interrupted.
"Or the gods," he finished, and started to search for a syringe. "But do we really need to check, it is obvious that she has, so why check." He looked at her curiously. But didn't get an answer.
"Do you mind getting the equipment ready for me down at the end." She nodded, and walked off. She knew that she did, ofcoarse she knew - she was able to draw on her the Mark of Curatio. Still, she did want to check ; her baby girl was grown up and she still didn't know if she wants this for her.
Carefully setting up the equipment, Serentilia had noticed a book full of notes on the different, magical families: warlocks, vampires, dragons, werewolves and so much more. Every page was filled with notes, no blank page stood its ground, nor cover. Looking sideways, she realised that he was already comming over, towards her - slowly but defiantly. She quickly set up the equipment and stood away from the desk, lost in her own thoughts.
Henry was able to get some blood out of Lil's body, but even in her sleep she was reluctant : the blood would rather stay inside than out. Carefully pouring three droplets of blood, he decided to start anaylzing the blood, cell by cell. The intensity of her cells swirled around the borders, covering the important part of the actual blood. Slowly, yet very quickly, Henry was able to analyze the blood and came to a confusing conclusion - a very conclusion.
"Seren, she definitely has the purest blood I ever saw. I admit her blood was very careful and it was hard to say if she was a warrior of the angel, but she is. Yet, her blood is 99% pure, 99% angel blood, how?"
Serentilia didn't answer. She shook her head gently and went towards her daughter's bed and sat down near her. She decided that she will stay until she wakes up.
Knock, Knock.
Both Henry and Serentilia looked towards the door, surprised and confused at the same time at who could have come. Henry went towards the door and shouted "Come in!" preparing to take his sword out. Even though he knew that it could have been no one dangerous, he also knew that everybody knew not to interupt him whilst working.
The door opened slowly. Through them, came in a tall man with deep back hair and gentle blue eyes, just like Be had. His eyes showed concern and worry, but quickly realised who was in the room and took out his sword - blocking the attack from Henry.
"Sorry, but I needed to see how they were." he relpied gently and closed the door. Herny looked at him and then at Serentilia, realising the intesity in their gaze and finally said that he needed to go and sort something with William and James. He left them alone.
"Serentilia. Seren... I missed you" he started.
