Her room was extremely perfect. I mean everything was just flawless. I had no idea someone's room could be so neat. Her bed was made perfectly and there wasn't a piece of trash or loose clothing in sight. She had posters too but of bands that I didn't recognize. Other than a bed and a dresser though... there wasn't nothing in there. It was spotless but it was also... empty. Once we were in the room she looked at me and smiled. "It worked!" she said. The smile instantly went away though. She looked down and thought about something. "It really hurt though. Did you feel that same pain too when you did it?" she asked. "Yeah. Did you hear the voices?" I asked. "Yeah," she said. She reached for her door handle and said, "Follow me." She then opened the door and walked down the hallway as I followed. The hallway looked pretty beat up compared to the rest of the house. We reached the living room and she walked up to a wooden door. "Wait right here... I'm gonna check and see if she's dressed," she said. I nodded and she proceeded to go into the room and shut the door behind her. I looked around her living room and saw a bunch of pictures. None with me in it. I decided to move the curtain to the side and look out the window. I then realized we were about 3 stories up. We're in an apartment. I closed the curtain and went to the kitchen which was just to the right of the living room. The kitchen was a faded green with a hint of white. Smelled pretty good in there to be honest. As if someone was baking. I decided to open the fridge and was instantly shocked by the smell. It was old expired milk and food in there. Yet it was perfectly clean in the fridge itself. It wasn't making sense. The expiration date on the milk said months ago. Before I could open the pantry I jumped because Jocelyn walked in the kitchen and yelled "What're you doing!?" After I jumped she started laughing. "Ha ha ha," I said sarcastically. "You could've gave me a heart attack." "Well you shouldn't be in our fridge," she said. I looked back at her fridge. "Well speaking of your fridge you need to clean it out. That milk in there is months old." She opened the fridge and grabbed the milk. She opened it, smelled it, and made a disgusted face. "I don't understand. I bought this yesterday," she said. "You couldn't have. There's no way," I stressed. She showed me the expiration date then put the milk in the garbage and looked at me. I was shocked because the date was 3 weeks from today. She did just buy it. "Honestly... weird stuff like this happens all the time. One second I'll buy something and it'll be brand new, but then a couple days later it'll be like I had it for years," she said. "You think it's... because of our abilities?" I said as I looked down at my hands. She looked down and thought about it... then she shook her head. "No. This has been happening since I was a little kid. Way before I met you," she said. She walked back towards her mom's door and grabbed the handle. "You ready?" she asked. "As I'll ever be." She opened the door and that's when I had first seen her. She was hooked up to some breathing machine and an IV. She was sick or even... dying. The woman looked up at me and took the breathing mask off and smiled. She was beautiful. She had dark red hair and and light blue eyes. I see where Jocelyn gets her looks from. She looked as though she could be a celebrity. But she also looked... drained. She opened her mouth and coughed. "I'll get you some water mom," Jocelyn said. "Thank you sweetheart." She sounded like an angel. Once Jocelyn left the room she looked at me and pointed to the chair next to her, so I went ahead and sat down. Once I did her smile went away. "I'm... I'm so sorry Jason. I never wanted things to happened this way. I didn't have a choice. They made me give you up," she said. I looked at Jocelyn as she walked back in the room and set the water down. "So, you're my mom?" I asked. She nodded. I shook my head. "It doesn't make sense. Why would my mother lie to me? And who made you give me up?" I asked. "The Life Enforcers made me give you up. As for your mom lying to you... I told her to." I couldn't believe my ears. I looked at her wide eyed and stood up. "Wait... you told her to?" I asked. "Honey... the Life Enforcers...." "No." I said as I cut her off. "I don't care who these Life Enforcers are. You gave me up and lied to me and had everyone around me lie to me too," I said. She looked away and a tear fell. "It's part of the plan," she whispered. I spent my whole life having a fake mom lie to me and a real mom getting rid of me... for a plan. "A plan!?" I asked. "Well screw you and this plan. I'm going home," I said. Once I said that I felt a wave of anger come over me. Although I was angry I could feel that it wasn't my anger. Jocelyn was mad. That's when Jocelyn pushed me. "Don't talk to my mom like that," she said. Little did she know... I was mad too. "Well your mom shouldn't be such a liar," I said. "You wont even hear her out Jason. You're not the only one she lied to. I didn't know you existed either. I don't even know about this plan... but you don't see me getting in my feelings like some little girl," she said. That's when I pushed her back and she hit the wall. Once I did she looked shocked and got extremely angry. I could feel it. She stood up from the wall and as she did pink electricity started to form around her... but i don't think she noticed. She was just staring at me angrily. Something was about to happen. Before it could though I looked over to my right and saw our mom sitting up. Once I saw her she leaned forward and grabbed my hand and Jocelyn's hand. After she grabbed us everything went dark. We couldn't see anything. We were in the middle of no where. Darkness all around. I looked at Jocelyn and she looked at me. I tried to ask where we were but I couldn't open my mouth. It seemed neither could she. That's when we heard heels clicking in the distance. We looked and seen a figure coming towards us. It looked like... our mom. "Alright. Now that I have your attention I'm going to explain everything," she said as she walked up to us. Jocelyn seemed surprised. She was trying to say something but she couldn't. Her mom looked at her and snapped her fingers and then Jocelyn's mouth opened. "Mom! You're walking! You're breathing right! How is this possible?!" she asked. That's when her mom snapped her fingers and reclosed her mouth. "Rudeee," she said with her mouth closed. "Honey... all of this is possible because we're in my head," she said. She snapped her fingers and stars appeared everywhere. It was like we were in space. "I'm going to explain everything and you're going to listen instead of arguing. Should've did this in the first place," she said. She showed us some alien like figures. They were jello like and all black. "These are the Life Enforcers... and they put some info in my head so I could give it to you when the time came. That time... is now."
