Once we arrived at the hospital I had a chance to really see Sofia... and man was she beautiful. She had black hair and sea green eyes. She was unlike any girl I had ever seen before. Me and Jocelyn grabbed her by her arms and brought her into the hospital through the emergency section. She was so weak she couldn't even walk... but something told me it wasn't cause of the metal in her. Blood was spilling out of her as we walked through. "Help!" I screamed. "We need help!" Doctors and nurses ran out bringing a roller bed to put her on and some equipment. "What happened?!" a doctor asked. I looked at Jocelyn and back at the doctor. "It was um... a car crash." I said. "Yeah," Jocelyn said. "The car just came out of nowhere." As they were wheeling her back the doctor looked at us and then at her. "That doesn't explain how the metal got wrapped around her." I shrugged my shoulders. We couldn't tell him what really happened cuz then they'd probably throw us in a cuckoo house. I heard a voice inside my head. "They'd throw you in there anyway," Jocelyn said. I looked over and she had slight smirk on her face. "Hardy har har," I said sarcastically. When we got to the door that leads inside the emergency area the doctor turned around and told us we had to wait in the waiting room. "She needs intensive care so its best if you stay out here. We'll do everything we can and an officer will come and speak with you in a second," he said. He then walked inside. That's when Jocelyn turned towards me and said, "Alright. you ready to go?" I gave Jocelyn a confused look. "We can't just leave," I said. "Why not?" she said. "We need to find out who that guy was and why he wanted to take her," I said. She instantly felt annoyed. I could feel it. "Jason. We GOT to get to our father and find out what we're supposed to do. It's of utmost importance. We can come back later and find out who that whacko was, and why he wanted to take damsel in distress. But right now we got to get to dad. Remember? The planet is at stake. Also I don't know if you forgot but there's a warrant for my arrest, and if the cop comes out here and recognize me this little mission will be cut short. So let's go. Please." She started walking away. In a way she had a point. The cop might recognize her and we did need to get to "our" dad. But... I just couldn't leave Sofia behind. I thought about what would happened if that man found her again. He said there was no where she could go where he couldn't find her. I looked up at Jocelyn and shook my head. "Nah. I can't leave her behind. If that man finds her he'll kill her. Plus... how do we know he's not part of the reason the planet is at stake? We can't just leave." Jocelyn looked at me puzzled. "And what if the cop sees me and realizes I have a warrant?" I looked around and saw there was a bathroom. "Just hide in there," I said as I pointed. She looked at the bathroom and then at me. Then she smirked. "Okay, I think I get it now." "Get what?" I asked. She walked towards me with that smirk still on her face. "Someone has a little crush," she stated. "No," I denied. "I'm just trying to make sure she's okay." She looked at me and shook her head. "Nah it's not just that. Jason I could feel it the moment you looked at her. I felt something that wasn't my own feelings. Desire, passion, and love," she said. She sat down in a chair and put her hands together. "Look. I know you want to make sure she's okay but dude... we kind of have this sudden responsibility. The only real true way to save her is to save earth. You can protect her all day but if there's no planet there's no her." I looked at Jocelyn and thought about it and she had a point... AGAIN. I just have to trust that nothing will happen to her. She wasn't lying though. I guess I kind of do have a slight crush on her. "Yeah, I know," Jocelyn said. "Is any thought private?" I asked. "Nope," she said smiling. She stood up and we were about to leave until I looked at the entrance and saw Ty's parents coming in. They looked really stressed. I decided to call out to them. "Mr and Mrs. David!" I yelled. They seen me and walked up to me. "Jason, are you okay?" Mrs. David asked. I nodded and then I thought about it. "Wait... Ty is in here isn't he? Is he okay?" I asked. "Yeah, he's just fine. Only thing he has is a slight concussion and a sprained shoulder," Mr. David said. Mrs. David then looked at me and grabbed my hand. "Jason... what happened?" she asked. I looked at them with a confused face. Don't they already know the bus crashed? "Um... the bus crashed. Didn't anyone tell you?" I asked. "No, I don't mean..." She stopped mid sentence and looked at her husband. Mr. David looked at her and then at me. "Jason... the bus didn't hit anything. It tipped over on its own. And no one seems to know how it happened," he said. I looked down and thought about it. I'm almost a hundred percent sure it was me and my powers that did it. I wondered how they would feel if I told them the truth. Even though it was an accident I was still the one that did it. Hopefully our dad will help us get a hold on our powers so nothing like this will happen again. I looked up at the both of them and played clueless. "I'm sorry but I have no idea what you're talking about. I thought it just hit something," I explained. Mr. David looked at me and sighed. "It's alright," he said. I then thought about Ty and decided to ask them if I could go see him. "Yeah of course," Mrs. David said. She walked up to the desk and told the nurse who she was and we went inside where the rooms were. As we were entering Jocelyn walked up beside me and started talking telepathically. "So... remember when I said we had to go a few minutes ago? I feel like you forgot that I said that," she said. "Yeah I know. I didn't forget I'm just gonna check in on him and then we're out of here. Trust me. It'll be really quick." We were walking down the hallway until we got to room 6. Once we were in front of the door Mrs. David opened it and pulled apart the curtains on the inside of the room. There he was. He had bandages on his shoulder and pillows up by his neck. The lights were dim, probably to help him with the concussion. As we walked in Ty looked up and saw us. "Whoa, is that Jason?!" He asked with a smile. "Yeah bro. What's up? How you feeling?" I said as I walked over to him, sat down, and did our handshake. "Ewww you guys have a handshake?" Jocelyn asked with a smirk. "Who is this?" Ty asked. "Oh this is... my friend Jocelyn," I said. I kind of wanted to say it's my long lost super powered sister. "Nice to meet you," she said. After she said that I instantly felt feelings of desire and affection. I looked over at her and she had her eyes locked on Ty. A second later I could hear her thoughts. "Wow. He's really cute. Like crazy cute. Gosh! I'm kind of wishing he'd take me to his house so we could just..." "WOAH! I THINK THAT'S SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KEEP TO YOURSELF!" I yelled out interrupting her thoughts. Everyone started looking at me like I was crazy... even Jocelyn. And that's when she realized that I had heard her. Her face instantly turned red and she left the room. "Um... yeah...I'll be back," she said as she dashed out the room. Ty looked up at me very confused. "What the heck was that? What'd you tell her to keep to herself?" "Oh nothing," I said. "I just... say that when... someone's fly is open." At that moment Mr. David walked over. "Well you might want to not yell it next time," he said. He looked down at Ty. "Son we're about to go get us all some snacks we'll be right back okay?" "Alright." Ty said. His parents walked out. Ty then looked at me with a serious face. "Dude where'd you go after the crash? People are talking about you disappeared into thin air." I had to tell him. He's my best friend and he has a right to know. "Well technically... I did," I said. "Dude. What're you talking about?" I stood up and looked down at him. "It'd be better if I just show you. But... you have to promise not to freak out." He nodded his head and said "I promise." I held up my hand towards the ceiling light and made electricity come from my hand and flow through the light. I looked down at Ty and he looked so shocked that I was sure he was going to explode. I should've been paying attention though because the electricity started flowing through the room and ended up breaking the bulb. It made a loud "PAP" sound as glass hit the floor. "Woah!" Ty yelled. I immediately stopped using my powers after the bulb broke. "Okay. Please explain because that was awesome!" he said. I sat back down and looked at him. "I know right!? But look... I can't give you all the details right now but I will say two things. Number one... you can't tell anyone. Not a soul. And number two... it was me and my powers that knocked the bus over. It was an accident though. I don't fully know how to control it yet... but I'm sorry." He looked at me with a blank face. "I don't care about you knocking the bus over man. It's all good. I just want to know how did you get your powers... and if I could get some cause that would be..." He stopped mid sentence to look at something on the TV. I turned my head to look too and was shocked at what I saw. It was a video of me and Jocelyn knocking the cop into a wall. Luckily you couldn't see our face but after the video they showed sketches of us. The reporter on TV then started talking. "These two teens are wanted for assault on a police officer and actions are being taken to find them and bring them in to custody. If you have seen them please call this number." I looked over at Ty. "Jason... what did you do?" he questioned. As I was looking at Ty I could also see something outside the window behind him, on the building across from us. As my eyes adjusted in on it and focused I realized who it was. It was "The Man".
