Is it me... or is the whole "destiny" thing played out? Because I feel like we should be able to write our own destiny. Nothing should be set in stone... at least not in life. Apparently though I have a destiny and so does this random girl I just met. This isn't any ordinary destiny though. This is something bigger than anything I could've imagined. Like fate of the world resting on our shoulders big. And to top off the ice cream sundae with a cherry we only have 3 days to fullfil our destiny. Dramatic enough yet??? Well I'm just getting started. My name is Jason Fray... and I'm Linked. It started the day I was born but I couldn't tell you about that because I was just a baby. So I'll tell you what I do know. I normally catch the bus to and from school but not because I want to. I have to. As a junior in high school I should definitely have my own car by now but my parents are making me work for it. They don't think I'm responsible enough... yet. So it's an average Friday and I'm getting on the bus. It pulled up slower than usual but then again our busses are pretty much the worse. As it pulled up I seen the sides and the yellow paint was chipping off. As I get on it I see a bunch of kids yelling, fighting, and some were even kissing. Looks like it's going to be your average bus ride. As I look towards the back though I see my best friend Ty. I'm instantly ecstatic because I haven't seen him in months! He was visiting some family in Canada. He's a pretty lucky guy because he left right at the time the weather here got bad. Anyway I head to the back and he looks up smiling. We immediately do our handshake we made up when we were 12. Good times. "Man it's good to see you're back" I said. "Well I can't say it's good to be back" he said jokingly as he looked around the bus. I looked around the bus and told him "Yeah, nothing has changed. It's the still the same old same old..." Right as I said that we hit a huge bump and my backpack hit the ground. As I went to pick it up Batch was standing over me, looking at me menacingly with eyes that said "I hate you". This isn't going to end well. Batch was about 6"2 with broad shoulders and pretty huge arms. As lead line backer and the best football player on the team he was someone you didn't want to mess with. It just so happens though that a year ago I fought him because I dated his girlfriend who had broken up with him. Ever since then he's always had a special type of hatred for me. "What the hell are you looking at?" Batch said. I looked at Ty and then I looked up at him. "Not a thing" I said. "That's what I thought" He said. He looked at my backpack and kicked it up the aisle and started walking. Part of me wanted to get up and punch him and the other part of me wanted to just let it go, because if I started something with him it would be like starting something with the whole football team and I definitely don't want that. But... instead of listening to the side that wanted to let it go, I went ahead and did the opposite. He was almost to the back when I decided to say "Well I know your ex wouldn't want you kicking my backpack." He stopped and turned around. Huge mistake. He walked back up the isle smirking, until he stopped right next to me and Ty. He got close to my face and smiled. "What the hell did you say?" I looked at Ty and he was staring with eyes that said "Don't do it." I looked up at Batch and got ready to open my mouth but before I could he slapped me. Yes. Literally slapped me. The pain went straight to my head which made me stand up and get in his face. We were face to face and I knew a fight was about to break out. Before I could do anything though I felt something brush against my neck. Then I heard something whisper in my head. It sounded like a girl. That's when I realized the voice was back. Whenever I get angry or stressed this voice comes into my head and coincidentally it's a girl's voice. I'm probably crazy. Batch started looking around and that's when he noticed everyone was watching just like I did. He looked at me and said "Do something Jason." The voice in my head started to get louder and louder. Louder than it normally would get. I was about to lose it. I clenched my fists, closed my eyes, and started to say the same words over and over in my head. "GO AWAY." That's when the voice in my head did something it never did before... it responded. She said "YOU GO AWAY." I felt my body seize up and I couldn't move. I started yelling in my head. "Go away!" "Leave me alone!" She yelled back at me. "You go away!" "You're in MY head!" she said. Next thing I knew we were yelling back and forth in my head. What I didn't notice was that while all of this was going on in my head, the bus was being affected by it. I opened my eyes and seen pencils floating, people grabbing their heads, and papers against the ceiling. Everyone was oblivious to it though. They were just looking to see what I would do after Batch hit me. I looked around amazed at the pencils floating in the air. Batch was still standing there in front of me. I guess he got tired of waiting for me to do something because when I looked back at him wide eyed he decided to push me. Once he pushed me things took a turn for the worst. The bus tipped over to the side... just as I did.
