Gold saw a familiar car parked outside her house. As soon as she got out. Cale came running to her.
"Cale how did you get here so.." She felt his lips in hers before she could finish. (Cale..) She's too weak to fight her feelings. She closed her eyes and touch Cale's chest. Then slowly run her palm to his neck. He grasps her in the back and gently slides his fingers underneath her hair. He stops to breathe and stare at Gold. Both of them breathe heavily. He grabbed Gold and embrace her tight. "I can't lose you again." He whispered. Gold hugged him back and leans forward his chest.
Beep Beep. (Car Honk)
They got startled and immediately let go of each other.
"Ohhh. Thaats cuutee. What's going on here?" Gold heard a familiar voice. She was surprised to see Glaire and Kilk smiling back at them.
"What are you two doing here and... outside the church?" Gold laughed. "Busted!" Kilk said and laughed. "Why did you tell her that Cale?" Glaire asked.
"Umm." Cale's lost. Glaire laughed. "Never mind. It's nice seeing you two together again and cuddling each other out in the road. We're leaving you guys alone now. Take care of Gold Cale."
"You better do that man. Take care of her." Kilk honk his car and they wave goodbye.
"What's going on?" Cale asked. Gold started laughing so hard all over again. "Nothing..."
"But what is so funny? And it seemed like you didn't know that they were outside the church?" Gold kept laughing.
"Let's go inside. I'll get you something to drink."
She paused for a while "How did you get my address? By the way."
"I ran into Glaire and Kilk," he explained.
"So, that is why they're here. But seriously? they're still out of the house at this hour?"
Cale laughed in response and put his arms around Gold and held her close to him.
"And.. how did you get here before me?"
"I don't know. After you left I packed all my things right away to go after you," she remembers crying at the side of the road. (Luckily, he didn't notice me. That's a good thing. I'd hate it if he'd ever seen me like that.) "and.." Cale faced her and kissed her. "Okay, I get it. I'll stop asking." they both laughed
Gold made him a cup of coffee. "Drink this. Do you have anything to wear? Stay over. It's pretty late to go." He smiled in agreement. "My clothes are in the car."
"on the other hand. Don't bother. I have men's night clothing upstairs." Gold suddenly remembers. "Men's clothing?" His expression changed. "Men's clothing?" he repeated.
"Yes, you know I love sleeping in comfy loose clothing." he felt relieved. "I'll use that instead." He clearly thought it was someone else's clothes.
Gold make a tea and finish it with Cale. "Let's go upstairs and rest"
They changed into shirts and boxers. Gold asks Cale to lie down beside her. He immediately hops in the bed and embraces her. She held him closer and they fell asleep right away.
Early morning...
Gold suddenly woke up and realized Cale wasn't there. Her heart tightened. She rolled her knees to her chest. (Was I dreaming all this time?) Gold wanted to make sure but she's afraid she might lose her mind. She kept still clenching her legs. Suddenly, there's a knock on her wide-opened door. "I made us breakfast in bed." Cale came in holding a bed table with a perfect set of breakfast. She let go of her legs and kept her eyes on him.
"I had this nightmare before the wedding. We are walking down the road while you were holding my hand but when I looked back at you. You're not there anymore. I searched everywhere but I couldn't find you. I kept running and running and then I woke up." Gold said with a sad look on her face.
Cale ran his fingers through her hair. "It's just a dream. Let's eat this breakfast before it gets cold." he watched her take a small bite. "Are you not eating?" Gold asked. He takes the spoon and started eating. "Let's watch a movie at the theater later and have dinner." Gold nod in response. "I'll take you to my house. Pack some of your things. Let's stay there and go to work together tomorrow."
"I want to cook dinner at your house." Gold requested. "Alright." they both smiled.
